I am honestly baffled by all the 5 star reviews. I ordered a couple of different salamis and condiments and while the csabai salami and condiments tasted ok the teli salami is not even close to what it should be.

Limited but great food, great salami i would say the best one you can but in the united state. Good selection of schnapps and liwowica. Good selection or wine and bier. Lots of chocolate options.

Wonderful products, absolutely abysmal incompetent packing and shipping. Twice I have made the mistake of ordering from Bende, and twice the contents of the package have arrived at 70 to 90% completely smashed. These guys seriously could not package items for shipping if their lives depended on it.

I pick up Bende sausages wherever I can find them. I've yet to have a product of theirs I didn't finish in a maximum of 2 sittings. One if I have guests. I'm a fan.

Love it! Best Hungarian Salami, EVER! I couldn't decide which one I wanted so I bought plain and paprika. Tasting them side-by-side, I still can't decide which one is better...both are wonderful. Buy some of both and decide for yourself. Warning: One pound of each won't be enough. Definitely worth the trip to their shop.

Nice store for German and Hungarian foods and various meats, sausages and cheese. Various grocery items as well. Outlet entrance is actually next door at 925.

The store don't have my german whole bean coffee anymore ,some rittersport chocolate, no camomile tea ,fish is missing to.looks like I will order food now from Amazon. Monika

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Handicapped parking and building access. Rest rooms are very clean. Seams to have lighter traffic in the stre during the weekdays as the weekends are pretty busy. Plenty of parking, again during the weekend, she gets crowded.

Although I came to the US over 60 years ago, I still miss certain foods such as the wonderful sausages and lunchmeats that Germany has to offer. Bende is a great place with a big selection of meats, sweets, toiletries etc. Well worth a visit!

I love Bende and all their products. Wish they had a store where I lived so shipping was so expensive. No military discounts online. Their smoked bacon is the best I have ever had.

So my favorite ethnic food store to go too. Always fresh, great homemade smoked products. Also from Hungarian decent it reminds me of my youth growing up with the grandparents who made such delicious foods as well. I think I'll have to stop in again really soon. We always run out of our favorites first... smoked bacon, pork loin, head cheese, jams, jellies, candies (super delicious even for the grown-ups). Makes me feel right at home.

Look my wife is Hungarian and she makes drive 30 minutes to go here to stock up on Hungarian sausage and other Hungarian foods. Love the sausage tried others in Chicago and didn't compare. Also tastes like the sausage I get when in Hungary.

Excellent Hungarian butcher. The outlet is a mini European deli - good stuff for great prices! Sooooo glad to have this in the neighborhood. One of the few German/Hungarian ones left in the area. Especially good: Hungarian sausage, cold cuts, fresh baked rolls and pretzels, European staples foe cooking and baking.

Great place to get smoked meat and European foods. I have been going there since I was 9 years old. And no matter where I am whenever I'm in Illinois I'll stop in and stock up

Great Hungarian store!If you lake European style smoked meat, wine, shpik and chocolate -here the way to find and buy it from the wholesaler store. Forgot to mention lot of preserves, fish, vegetables and candies!!!This is the small place one have to visit once or on a regular basis :)

There are excellent bacon, sausages, salami, hams, smoked meats, but even diszn�sajt, which tastes great!You can choose from all sorts of Hungarian and other European products.Best authentic food supply.Everything from t�liszal�mi to lecs�.Great grocery with very friendly staff!

Usually great product, but on this date, Jan 9, we have had two jars of the Hungarian Styed Pickles that were all but rotten in the jars, which were recently purchased. I've lost confidence in this product and brand.

Never disappoints. I just ordered a bunch of Szaloncukor and other holiday items and got it delivered 4 days later (we live in PA/ KOP area). To my surprise I received two extra bags of goodies - free of charge. What a nice way to say Merry Christmas/ Kellemes Karacsonyt! :)

I purchase meat, teas, Tarhonya, Hungarian paprika for years from Bende. I give their products as Christmas present. If you want to eat good Hungarian pepperoni, smoked meat, etc. Bende is the place. The shipping is fast, and organized.Love the products, love the service, love the informative pictures of products. Go, Bende!Ps.: don't forget the Hungarian Christmas candy, "szaloncukor" !

We have been buying from Bends for over 25 years. We happen to. E traveling and stopped at the outlet. Everything was great with the exception of the cashier! We bought a lot of our favorites and she just threw out stuff like it was garbage and didn't even attempt to help us pack our groceries . Why are you so angry? Oh well

One of my favorite store. The store has a European flair and a reminder of the old country. Excellent meat, cheese, chocolates, beauty products and other goodies. Mahlzeit!
