Excellent service, had parts available and truck was done in a couple days. Didn t have the hassle of waiting a couple weeks for an appt like you do with dealerships, Hanson s looked at my truck the same day. Will be back for sure!

Ha Brian. Happy with the service on both the Volvo and Rav 4. Just small problem with RAV4. The tire light still comes on. Will bring the car in when we get back from Colorado. Thanks. Sam

Except my engine light just came on again. I was running late and drove it 4 miles a bit more aggressively than usual. You said the problem before was the O2 sensor. Anything to worry about?

My girlfriend visits Hanson's for most of her major vehicle service & repairs. Ive been typically pleased with the services they perform on her van as well as how quickly they get her scheduled and communicate with her on problems and costs so she is not left in the dark and then surprised by a big bill. Prices run similar to other like locations in town. I will say, always check to make sure work is performed to your satisfaction.

I can t say enough about the service we have received from Brian Hanson and his team. Having had 2 kids attend UIUC, he has been our go-to for any car issue. Always fair and willing to go the extra mile. Hanson's got my Expedition towed in and starter replaced in the middle of the snow storm last week. Very professional and friendly service. Will definitely use them again.. Highly recommended!!!

Poor and inattentive service. I dropped my car off here to have the heater fixed. I called beforehand to ask them if they could work on my particular model, which was very old. I was given a confident reply, and was told they were running about one day behind. Five days later, I called to ask about the status of the car, and was told that they were running behind but would "probably" look at it by the end of the day, and call me with an estimate. Twenty-four hours later, having heard nothing, I picked my car up. The man I dealt with was apologetic, citing "several big jobs" and forgetting about me. He said the job might even be beyond his abilities to do. He offered no discount as compensation just to take a brief look at it right there on the spot. The only record-keeping I saw was that they wrote my name and phone number down in a notebook.I prefer small businesses and can understand unexpected delays, but they failed to notify me and be realistic about the circumstances instead trying to string me along repeatedly with unrealistic expectations about their timetable and ability to fix my car.I do not doubt their ability to make basic repairs when there is a low work volume, but they do not appear to handle heavy workload or old European cars well.

These guys were very prompt, polite and professional, with absolutely amazing prices. They replaced and installed a windshield wiper part for just $10- I couldn't have purchased the part and installed it myself for that! (Plus, they didn't trash the inside of my car with grease or gunk from their shoes, clothes or hands.)I want to emphasize once again that these guys were so polite and professional!! They weren't fancy or flowery, but they were plain old friendly and patient. Keep up the good work guys!

Great service, honest, and very fast. My car maintenance light went on after a trip to Chicago and I took it to Hanson's. My car was fine and I was just over worried. They were nice and checked to make sure that the brakes and tires are ok. I would definitely bring my car back!

Went in for a front brake job. Hanson's Auto gave me a responsible price and I went with it.Update report 5 months later I found out that the brake pads weren't the best or even near the best pads, plus the place that the pads fit into wasn't sanded down to remove the rust build up. Yes, it was 5 months later, but I had under 3,000 miles on those brake pads. That was my first brake job on my vehicle a little over 100,000 miles

Brian is friendly and reliable. He's honest with the repairs that are needed and is extremely fair on price. We used to live right down the street from the shop but despite a much longer drive we still bring our car needs to him!

I dropped my car off this morning, planning on getting the transmission flushed, and possibly the coolant (recommended by my car's manufacturer @ 60K). But after they did the inspection of the car, they said its not necessary, both fluids look fine. They could have easily said "yes, lets flush them both!" And gotten paid to do an unnecessary repair. Instead they were honest, and said that they weren't needed at this time. They're out to keep their customers happy, not just increase their bottom line. Great local business!

Needed two tires changed, which they have done before for me for 20 dollars, this time the same guy charged me 50 dollars. He didnt give me a price before he did the work, I figured it was the same price or maybe 5 dollars more but 150% price increase? I never did business again with him and never will, i dont recommend to anyone.Service: TiresService: Tires

I myself have gone in and gotten my brakes changed, and was impressed by their service, honesty, and willingness to work with me.What impressed me more was twice now my girlfriend has gone in with small issues that needed to be either checked or taken care of (just checking fluids and checking out a strange noise coming from around her brakes). Both times they quickly assessed the problem and dealt with it, without any kind of diagnostic or service charge. I would recommend them for any issue with your car big or small. I would trust them to be honest and fair with you regardless of your car knowledge.

Got charged 50 dollars to change two tires on rear of vehicle. It shouldn't of been more than 25-30 but since he already did the work he figured what the hell ill charge him more since work was already done. By the way he charged my brother 20 for the same work several months ago. Better get a price first and don't assume anything.

The people at Hanson's are very friendly and willing to fully explain any and all problems with your car. When most other places wouldn't bother to help troubleshoot the car over the phone, they were more than willing to help see if it was serious or not. They also understand that no one wants to spend a whopping amount of money on a car repair, and they are glad to give you other less expensive options and explain the pro's and con's of each if they are available. Other repair shops didn't even mention other options or denied that other options even existed!Definitely recommend for any repairs, oil changes, etc. It's not often when you can say you trust your mechanic, but Hanson's is absolutely trustworthy.

Brian made a point to take a look at my van at the very end of the day. Got me booked in before my vacation. Job was done as quoted with no surprised. Finished ahead of schedule which was great. Highly recommend this Urbana business for car needs. We will be back in the future.

I've been here several times. I had a car with 18' rims and had a hard time finding somewhere that could do alignments and mount/balance tires due to the size. The price was reasonable and the guys were nice and helpful :) I would definitely recommend this shop! Thanks !

Hanson's are as scrupulously honest about billing and service as they are with the work they do. I get my car regularly serviced there and have purchased tires from them, too. I cannot recommend Hanson's Auto highly enough.

Disappointing experience, bill was $150 more than estimate, never received a call about increase in cost nor a call to tell me car was done. When I raised these concerns I was talked over and voice was raised. Have been here before under different management and had positive experience, won't be back.

Closed early said my car would be fixed 3 days in a row. Also have had to bring my car back 4 times in 2 weeks because they aren't fixing the problem and I've given them over 1000. About to take them to court.

Great family owned business. Have been coming here for years! They do not try to sell you something you don't need. They do the work extremely fast, and are always willing to fit me in.I would never go anywhere else. Hanson's is the only mechanic I trust.
