Tom Fairfield has been my mechanic for twenty-five years. He gives good, honest advice and provides the best quality service you could ask for. I appreciate that he tells me when a repair is more cost than it's worth rather than getting paid to patch a dying vehicle.

I love Tom! He's knowledgeable, efficient and very timely. He doesn't overcharge like a lot of other places. And he's great about telling me what needs to be done right away and what can wait. I took a vehicle that I was thinking about buying to Fairfield Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection. Tom did an inspection that was both done quickly but also very thorough. He was friendly, professional, and explained the issues that he found with the car very well. The inspection price was also extremely reasonable. I will definitely be returning there in the future!

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado and Tom has handled the wheel bearing, breaks, oil pump and coolant system. I am extremely satisfied with the speed, quality and price of the work he's done. He communicates the problems well and the truck runs better than ever. I recommend his services and will continue to go to Fairfield Auto for any future issues.

I've been going to Fairfield Automotive for ten years now: they've worked on my Toyota, VW, Subaru, Ford truck, and now my Chevy Truck. It's a small shop run by a guy who really knows his cars. Honest service and quality repairs. I've always been impressed with his work and prices.

My car broke down while I was in Urbana for a memorial service for my brother, traveling with my elderly mother. Tom couldn t have been nicer. He fitted me in the same day so I didn t have to rent a car to take mom home, since she didn t have enough meds with her to stay over. Plus Covid. I m actually glad the breakdown happened in Urbana instead of at home in Wisconsin!

There is only 1 mechanic who owns the shop he is old school so you know he knows his stuff my car is running like new
