I can't say enough about backwoods automotive. Kenny and his crew are amazing, very knowledgeable, friendly and just an all-around excellent professionals. Listen folks if you want professional, honest, reliable, flexible and one of my most important ,affordable automotive shops around ?? This is were you NEED to go!! Listen we've all been quoted a price and when we went to pick up our vehicles we had to pay more .. well Backwoods automotive is not about that! How about you drop your vehicle off at the mechanic you go to pick it up and you realize they've done work you didn't authorize.... Backwoods automotive is not about that!! The communication between the mechanical crew in regards to your vehicle it's amazing- they actually call you if there's additional work needed Listen, last but not least and we have all done this!!!! Shop around for the most affordable cost? I get it!.... so Stop It!!! I would give Backwoods automotive a call,,, get an answer and go from there-PERIOD! They may have a small shop but I am my family will be a part of there big future.

What a blessing God gave my husband and I today on Father's Day...we lost the tread on our tire at St. Joe. We drove to Urbana and bought a tire at Walmart but they refused to put it on even though they still had 20 mins to be open...Eddie was kind enough to take time away from his children and put our new tire on for us...God truly had His hands on this experience...Eddie and his children were amazing and such a joy to be around...I would definitely recommend him to any and all people for ANY automotive needs...A truly gifted man with a blessed family...and one that teaches life lessons along the way...Thank you Eddie from the bottom of our hearts and may God bless you and yours for all the days to come...

Took Hyundai Elantra in for a skipped timing chain. Already checked for bent valves and didn t have any signs of it. He had the car for almost a week and never called. When I called him he said he tore the engine down and found bent valves. I went to look at it and nothing has been removed from the car and no seals were broke proving nothing had been touched on the car. I ended up doing the repair myself and had the car running completely normal a day later with no engine damage even though he said it had bent valves and said it needed a new engine. Used him once before for a frame repair and he said it would be a agreed price and would be done in a few hours. He did not call me that day and I needed the vehicle for work so I called him and he said he hadn t got to it yet. Called him again a day later and he said it was finished but charged me 100$ more because I rushed him even though he said it would be done in a few hours. Needless to say be cautious of this business.

We were driving cross country and started having a car issue close by to their location. We called a bunch of places but they were the only one that called us back quickly and on a weekend too. They took care of us right away, and were extremely nice and helpful. Couldn t be happier with their help and so glad we were close to their shop!

This name has never been more perfect for a place. Pulling up you think it's a home...who knows it may be but the guy working on vehicles is a straight shooter and saved us a ton of money. He is my new car guy.

I was driving through Illinois and out of nowhere, my car broke down just outside of St. Joe. Mr. Laroe at Backwoods Automotive truly came through and really helped me & my wife out of a tight spot. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He explained the problem and what parts were needed. He worked quickly and his prices were fair. I highly recommend Backwoods Automotive....My wife and I are super grateful for his honesty and great service. Thank you, Eddie, for getting us back on the road so quickly! God Bless.

They have poor customer care . I booked an appointment and had my car there for a whole day he did not call me as promised and when i called them the next day they told me they had failed to repair the problem.
