Had our windows tinted in July 2023. Immediately had issues with the quality of the work. We messaged the guy repeatedly asking for them to be fixed since we spent over $1300 on them which was more than he quoted us to mention. He would take forever to respond or simply not respond. He kept asking if certain days would work and we always said yes. Then he would never show up and come up with some excuse. Now, months after the ordeal, he deleted all of our messages and is saying he never received them. And he s calling us children and other names for calling him out on this. Also asking us to meet up to fight him. This seems extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Never had a business owner ask to meet up and fight because they don t want to do quality work. I highly recommend going with another company. After reaching out 3 separate times, weeks in between each time I reached out. I was given a day each time and never showed up. The corners on multiple windows of mine look terrible as well. Terrible work / service don t waste your time.

Mike doesn't keep appointments, doesn't return calls, doesn't understand basic communication or professionalism, and doesn't do quality work.Mike DOES lie, whine and make excuses for his shortcomings. The $700 tint job he did on my office looks like a small child did the work crooked cuts, multiple pieces of film on a single window pane, big gaps, bubbles. And he refuses to correct it.Don't waste your time or money with this clown �look at other reviews and his childish responses.Services: Privacy window films, Vehicle window tinting

Mike does excellent work. I had him tint my previous car as well. No need to try anywhere else. Very professional and knowledgeable. 100% satisfied with how it turned out

I almost didn t come here, due to the google reviews, But after checking the work done on his Facebook page, I took a chance. He did a pretty good job for me, no complaints on my end. Tinted my Toyota 86.

I would never use this business ever again. He was suppose to take the old tint off and put darker on, he just put it over the old. Didn t even do a good job at putting it over it. Messaged him that it s peeling off and no reply. His cuts are all over the place. He doesn t stand behind his word. Go to Maryville..Vich n Visuals. He did my truck and knows what he s doing & has 100% warranty until you trade the vehicle in.Service: Vehicle window tinting

I used A Shade Darker after a friend referred them. It was super easy to make an appointment and Mike even completed the windows on my truck after normal business hours. That s helpful to me as a full-time employed father of three.The work was completed with quality and I have not had any issues. I am so pleased with the work that I am having Mike replace window film on a used car I recently purchased. I would highly recommend A Shade Darker based on my experience. I see ole boy deleted my first review, must not have been able to handle the truth. This guy mediocre at best! Had a 1/4 crease in my one window that I asked about before I left. He said it would fix itself . Anyways that was a lie so I called him to fix it and I constantly got the run around about why I couldn t come to get it fixed. Got smart with me saying it s not his fault he can t match my schedule. Well you re the one that doesn t know how to do tint and I paid for your awful services so you should 100% work around my schedule to fix something you messed up. Mike installed window tint, ceramic coating, and a clear bra on my car when i first bought it. Shortly after I got the car back and let all of the film settle, there were multiple areas i wanted him to address that were peeling, had a bunch of dirt underneath, finger printed and wrinkled. I messaged him about it and he said he would get to it when he had time as he was booked. I waited and later brought him some things for the truck i sold him. He looked at my car and said he would fix it and get back to me. I waited a month and heard nothing. I then texted him and never got a response. I removed the clear bra yesterday so that it could be redone by another shop only to find cut marks deep into the paint all over the front end. The front end now needs to be repainted which will cost thousands, not including getting new clear bra installed. The ceramic coating I was told would last 3-5 years, it wore off after a year. The car is garage kept and washed with quality products regularly. The window tint has multiple areas of large chunks of dirt underneath. Unless you want your car ruined then I recommend finding other places to get work done.Services: Paint protection, Vehicle window tinting

Doesn t answer calls. Shows up when he wants & not on time, cuts are way off and windows were not cleaned before tint. When I called about these issues he said there was nothing he could do to fix it. Terrible Terrible service. Not even close to the quality work I had done on my other vehicle. Do not recommend!Point proven shown on response. Terrible customer service. When I have a scheduled appointment and a time to have my car tinted, I don t think the customer should have to sit in the street and call 300 hundred times to have you finally show up over an hour later. As much as I hate to post this, I feel as I ve been left with no other choice.The beginning communications with Mike were very quick. He got both of my vehicles in quickly and even worked all night to finish them for me.Initially the tint looked good upon a walk around. After a few days, my wife and I began noticing some issues such as hair under the tint, a cut in the tint, and even the windshield tint peeling off. This is where communications with Mike have broken down. I have contacted Mike numerous times in an attempt to remedy these issues. Mike would either reply and then stop or not answer altogether. Regardless, the issues have still not been fixed.If these issues were fixed, I would be happy with Mike s product.Service: Vehicle window tinting

Mike was referred by a friend of mine that runs a local muscle car restoration business. I called him last fall to talk about installing a clear protectant over the paint. The product wasn't available at the time so he said he'd call me when he got a shipment in. No call. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I called again and left voicemail, this time for the clear protectant and window tinting. No call back so I texted the next day. Still have not heard back.3 attempts is more than enough. I'll try someone else.

Very unprofessional, dirty shop and communication is horrible. I made sacrifices in the past for the lack of professionalism, dirty shop and poor communication because of the price but my last appointment was verified and when I showed up he wasn t there. Called and he stated he was about 45 minutes away, BTW this is at his house. Waited for an additional 30 minutes then left. Now it has been hours and never received a phone call. We tried to use this service because it s a local Troy business and it came recommended. The first appointment we had we tried to reschedule, due to work conflicts. We left a message explaining as much and never received a call back. Tried calling a couple of more time with no answer. Fast forward two weeks make another appointment to drop the car off and the guy just doesn t show up. Tried calling no answer! Rang doorbell, no answer. Thanks for wasting our time considering we had to take off work to meet your time line.

I would recommend anyone to go here. I called at 9 a.m. to see if I could have him tint my windows since I was in town. Scheduled at 3 done by 5. Had all windows and windshield strip done, along with side markers tinted. He was very professional and the tint looked great! There was one spot on the drivers window that was blemished, but he said that it would go away. If there was a case it didn t I am to let him know and he would correct it. On 25 May 2021 Mike installed film on our patio room and door. The cost was $963.00. On two of the windows the film was creased but to the naked eye it looks like the glass was cut. Mike was contacted and he said he would fix the film on Monday or Tuesday 31 May or 1 Jun. Mike was a no show and when we tried to contact him his phone que was full. We contacted him again and he said he would be over on 26 Jun. We called him 24 and 25 Jun to ensure the appointment was still valid and he said it was and would be over in the morning. Guess what he was a no show and never called us. We are looking for installer to replace the two films. This is no way to treat a customer.Service: Heat control window films

I called Mike, he got my car in 2 days later. He tinted the entire car. It looks phenomenalHe was able to do 2 different shades. Told us the work was guaranteed for life. Had some concerns with wear and tear. Just asked him to come take a look. He said after looking at pictures that he would replace it. Kept saying he didn t have the film and was waiting for it. Took my 20 year old bmw to this guy! Paid 400 bucks as I wanted the best tint and the best looking job as my bmw is in pristine condition! Asked for entire job including windshield!There are multiple mistakes and even left a hair in the back windshield that shows dramatically!Gave multiple times to fix the issues and then just stopped responding and had to actually pay to have this joke of a job removed and reinstalled by a REAL professional!Do not take your car here if your looking for QUALITY work!Service: Vehicle window tinting

If I could give no stars I would. Every bad review has the same complaints that I do. Do not go to this guy! (Just look at his responses to other reviews. Jeez!) Not a good way to run a business.

A shade darker is the only place to get your tint done. I could not be happier with work and overall professionalism!
