The pool is nice. Activities for families. We've been there twice & unfortunately, there are some long-term campers who blast music at an obnoxious volume until 2am-3am. It felt like they were purposely trying to drive away short-term campers. The campsites are also quite close together. We prefer quiet & scenic state parks. We won't ever go back to Evening Star.

We love this place. Very camper oriented. They have events for the kids that are a blast. The pool was perfect. It's been a while since I found a pool that the "deep" end went past 5 foot and this one goes to 10!! All the options for the kids to do were amazing. The staff is beyond wonderful and extremely helpful. Everyone was super friendly and the campgrounds were so quiet and peaceful. We didn't have the adapter for the power for our site and they had one they let us borrow!! Will 100% be back next year. My daughter has decided we are camping here every year for her birthday.Safety: Staff was constantly patrolling the grounds and I never worried about leaving our items.Food & drinks: There is a full service snack bar with food, ice cream, drinks and candy.

Nice open space . Lots of sites . Full hook up . Tent camp area has electric n water . Shower house and restroom. Price is about average on daily weekly monthly rates .. Kids play ground . Giant outdoor swimming pool . Mini golf . Any outdoor equipment is for rent inside the office . Vollyball . Basket ball . Washers and dryers are very well kept and work fantastic they are however app use only no change slots . Small store ice n wood basic camp needs . Food to order . Can rent golf carts during stay . Nice little pond not sure if it has fish has couple view benches around Friendly service . Weekly rate offered . Picnic areas and benches . Lots of grass . Gets pretty loud sometimes but for the most part pretty mellow and sound curfew is at 11pm . The Weekends seem to but a bit wild on occasion. Not far from town. Pretty close to the powerplant.. would recommend for camping needs . Seen some tiny cabins on the way in .

Spacious sites for tents and temporary camping. Clean pool and decent enough showers and toilets. Plenty of shade. Owners are nice and they have a little shop with stuff if you need. Grocery a few miles up the road is pricey but will do just fine.Thursday through Saturday night you have to listen to blasting music from all directions. It's really a shame people come out to relax and have to listen to others loud music 8 hours a day. And I'm not talking a little loud. People across the park have music you hear over your own TV inside your camper.

Pretty nice campground! Decent pricing. Manager is nice. Campground maintained pretty well. My only concern is that they are letting the pond waist away, and not maintaining it. My wife visit maybe once a year if we are lucky, but it just seems like a few things have changed for the worst since under new ownership. Like the pond and is there even goofy golf anymore?

Terrible. Paid for a week, left on day 5. Filthy bathrooms/laundry. They really stack you on top of eachother here. Very few trees. Flies are the worse I've seen here. Also they charge an insane amount for anything at their "market".The pool mysteriously broke over night a day after labor day when we were promised it'd be open for our stay. Not very friendly staff.

To start off the managers building /store is discussing, smells of mildew because of the numerous leaks in roof ,the Ole lady running it is rude my grandkids wanted is cream and she told them you better make up your minds because when I walk away from this counter you won't be getting any. Then my son took them up there next day for ice cream and she said no your not getting ice cream I close in a little while. Pool is decent, shower rooms were filthy, pond is nothing more than a mosquito breeding ground, play ground was okay. Now the camp stes were to close together both huge garbage dumpsters were overflowing when we got there on Friday and went changed until checkout Sunday. This could be a great campground with a new manager that has a good aditude and and a lot of updating. The full hook up sites are way over priced at 51 dollars a night. Definitely won't be going back.

This place has a lot of potential to be a 5 star campground if they did a little improving. I loved the pool area and the convenience store on site had a lot to offer. I didn't really like that you have to pay extra for mini golf but at least it was a small charge. There are 2 playgrounds and 1 of them is in pretty decent shape while the other is awful. The other complaint I have is the grass! The first time we went here the grass was to my son's knees, completely unacceptable as it attracts more bugs. The second time it was nicely mowed. Will keep this campground in mind for the future.

This was my first stop in our new to us bunkhouse rv. To kind of check how everything works, this was over Easter weekend mind so usually it's still cold and miserable out but we got super lucky and it was 70+ over the weekend. But being so early the pool wasn't open or any of the fun amenities for the kids like mini golf. The park seemed to be loaded with full timers and seasonal campers. But I got one of the electric and water sites without sewer hookup. I think I would have to go during prime season to really give a good full review.

We was there over the holiday weekend. The camp spots that we was put in was in a grass field that had just put electric and sewer put in. The trenches where wet and soft. The water pressure at this campground is the worst I have ever been to. At one time the water coming out of the sink was less then the size of a cigarette and couldn t even get enough water in the toilet to flush.

The spots are well kept and the pool was larger and maintained well. The bathrooms were a little on the dirty side but it is a campground. It is a little on the pricey side but they do have activities on the weekends. Firewood is available for purchase at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and answer the phone for any questions you have before and during your stay. Overall a good experience.

Big park. Lots to do, pool, golf and activities. Sell food and a few supplies in office. Hard to distinguish where/how to park and lots of trees which are great shade but tricky to maneuver. Wi-Fi not available and cell coverage is spotty. Nice people!

The people are great and the area is nice... however as the rates keep climbing and things continue to go neglected the return on investment continues to drop. New wiring and water that now I can no longer touch my meter/hose spicket without being shocked if I'm barefoot. The pond is virtually dead again, the road upgrade/repair has basically stopped. The manager blames campers and the campers blame managers for full dumpsters. The 40 ft long pile behind the pond just screams luxury as one might imagine. The office just simply isn't welcoming the way it was in the past. Its always dark and empty and frankly has nothing in it. The wood not being sold is just a big pile . Nothing prewrapped or otherwise which is super convenient for weekenders im sure. Unlike in the past when the manager would take you to your site you can sit and watch weekenders funnel in lost and guessing how to get around. All that said it's still a good weekend getaway, it's just not what it used to be or could be. With the price raising again other places, cleaner placed are becoming more intriguing.

Good price for overnight camping. They have a pool that is pretty nice. There are Alot of activities for children. They are making infrastructure improvements slowly. I believe they should have more that one modern shower house. The play equipment for the kids is aged. The whole property shows signs of years of aging. Hopefully the owners will continue to make improvements that the campers want and need.

Not the greatest place, the camp sites are just a place in the grass to park your camper and 2 sites share the same power box. No road or drive to even show where to go. People who aren't camping here using the pool. Pool needed the bugs cleaned out of it. Thankfully we got a site next to the pool because the back part of the campgrounds is old and trashy and looks like a cheap trailer park. The bathrooms were tolerable but certainly not clean, the showers were of tolerable. temp after running for about 10 minutes. The lady in the office was not at all friendly and and acted as though we were such trouble to get checked in. There were 5 in our group and we all got the same treatment from her.If you stay here bring a check or cash because you will have a 3 percent fee for using a card. The pool temp was nice and each site had a water spicket.

Everything is very nice! One of our favorite camp grounds! Very nice pool. Clean bathrooms. There are goats in a fenced in area! Kids were petting and feeding them! Basket ball hoops!

I have been camping here for 10 yeara and this year the owners changed. I went camping for 3 days and the pool, "one of their only attractions" was down for all 3 days and no one was contacted. Everyday we tried to talk to someone in the office, there was no one in there. When there was someone in the office they had no idea that the pool was down and proceeded to tell us that she was not a manager and did nothing about it. We were also told that you are not allowed to drive your moped in the grass because it has two wheels, yet there are golf carts, cars, and campers driving in the grass and have 4 wheels, what's the difference? Another thing, I rented a cabin and the air conditioner inside had mold inside and smelled horrid. This place is not what it used to be and the management needs to take some control because it is becoming an empty campground. Very disappointed and not returning.

Well to begin with the pool is very nice, however the bathrooms/showers near the pool need some serious renovations done. The schedule we were given was incorrect which caused the children that are with us to be upset. We had eleven children that missed the craft because no one had stated that they realized the schedule was wrong. The Fire Truck ride that they offered, the people driving were smoking and drinking while driving. The host when we showed up was kinda rude when we asked if our camping sites were muddy or not and told us to walk back ourselves and check. We feel there should be a better way to reach the campsites we have than driving through the playground. Also the fact that adults take it upon themselves and drink alcoholic beverages while in a pool full of children.

Good campground but a little overpriced for what you get. The pool is good but the mini golf needs a complete makeover. They pack you in like sardines and you feel like you are on top of your neighbors. We felt bad when we started a fire for smores because the smoke was blowing right in our neighbors air vent. We put the fire out immediately after making smores. Couldn't even enjoy a night time fire because we where to close tougher. You also have to park on grass. No gravel or concrete pads here. Just hope it doesn't rain while your there. It could be a pain to get out.

They we're super busy memorial day weekend, bathrooms and shower I feel we're neglected a bit. But again they we're full house. Swim time I feel is a bit too early to close at 8pm. They did make it right when the person next to me was I the outlet I paid for and they diplomatically took care of it. Be sure to make sure what Rover Pass takes out as far as charges. It didn't match up with what owner Janet says they took out, I lost money, but again Janet made it right. Plan to stay again over Laber weekend and super easy to get there and out.

Very disappointed with our most recent stay. We have camped here many times in the past and are sad to see things being neglected and not updated: shower house and picnic tables. The pool area no longer has tables or chairs for lounging poolside. The staff was unpleasant and not welcoming. For a higher priced campground our stay was not a pleasant one. We most likely will avoid this one in the future.

We pulled up to the office and we're greeted by a very nice women in the office. We were told to drive thru the play ground to get to our site. What? We did not do that. We drove around to an empty area in a field to back in. Instantly I smelled sewage. But I figured someone had just dumped. I will touch on this again later. The place was fairly empty and there is a lot of construction to the grounds. New water and electric tenches. Went to the pool for a few hours Saturday then back Sunday to find out the pool was closed. They sould have had this on the weekend news letter. But that is not the worst part of the weekend. The raw sewage shooting out of the septic tanks is the worst part. I was smelling sewage because it's all over the ground around my camp site. We did let the office know about the problem. Hope they get that fixed before people get sick. Not ever going back.

We needed a stop on the way home and found the campground via google. We camped overnight and didn t use any facilities other than the dumpster. The woman in the office was friendly, but didn t know how the campground was laid out. We found the campsite, but the site was not clearly defined, we probably used three sites. Great place place for a rest stop.

We enjoyed it till they had live band playing 7 to midnight. The invited everyone. But it was so loud nobody could sleep. It could of been turned down for the people who showed up.
