A great experience! I suggest going there and knowing what you want, because he s QUICK! A great honest businessman. Plus his hours are flexible, because he s open later. I will be telling all my friends in Dekalb to go to here and work with Jose! Jose was super nice & helpful. We are currently driving cross country and lucked out today with finding him open on Memorial Day! Awesome dude stayed after I called in even though he was on his way out! Can't express how grateful we are to be able to have it inspected and an oil change!!! Very dishonest person conned me over $600 work he didn t do when I confronted him, take me to court, he said charge $80 over dealer price for auto partsStill some balls off my motor to use on a similar car he owns

When I first walked in I went in to get a sensor replaced. He ordered the part and we got the sensor in a timely matter and fixed it right away. He had also noticed I had a right headlight assembly damaged due to an accident prior to arrive at Dekalb Auto Shop. He stated he may have a headlight for me in stock and he did. He fixed my headlight for a fair reasonable price. No hassle. I would recommend everyone to give him a call as he is fair with prices and works on cars in a timely manner.

Jose is very knowledgeable and fair priced. He stands behind his work. As a single woman, I don't trust mechanics, but Jose takes the time to actually shows me what is wrong with my car, and shows me what it should be doing, so I'm never confused on what's happening. Definitely my go to local mechanic.

It is not the first time that I took my car in at this place, so I can tell you every time I got the job done and at a very reasonable price. The guys name is Jose, I think he owns the place. There's another guy with a beard, he is really helpful too. In fact, many of my friends got their cars worked at here and they are all quite satisfied. Some of the jobs I got done here include replacing the Starter, Rotors/Brake Pads, Inner Tie Rods, some body work etc.You can bring in your own parts or the guy hooks you up with parts for cheap as well. Overall, if you want to get the job done at a reasonable price you should visit this guy. I definitely recommend him, especially to all students at NIU.

Drove my car in for some simple reapir, had to have it towed out after being damaged. Someone forgot to un hook the battery while welding on a new muffler, smoked the bcm..... When he now couldn't get the car to start, he dragged it out in gear damaging a the transmission. I drove my car in for some simple exhaust work, had to have it towed out....... He then implied "You dropped it off this way".......OK Jose, I guess my car ( which incidentally only has 65k on it with every receipt for all dealer maintenance from day 1 and has never given me any issue ever) flew there on a magic carpet......... Owner changed his story several times, made no effort to resolve the issue. HE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THE WORK WAS COMPLETE NEGATING TO MENTION MY CAR WILL NO LONGER START OR EVEN GO IN GEAR! I have been a long time loyal customer but Jose has gone off the deep end treating people like this. Never Again! Legal channels will sort this out...........

My son's car broke down on a bitterly cold Valentine's Day evening. Called several places and these guys were the only ones who would come out to help even though they were 15 minutes away and it was nearly closing time. They replaced his dead battery or he would have been stranded overnight. Didn't get the person's name but God bless him for helping my son!

These guys are quick, efficient, and fair. They'll drop you off and pick you up. Their prices are fair. No frills, just good labor from hardworking people who want to see their place do well.
