Everyone is usually helpful and nice, but Ray is the best!!He went out of his way to make everything easier, he took his time explaining everything and with working out a solution, he s even funny, & he fixed my problem as fast as he could. Really turns your whole day around when you re having car troubles, and now I probably wouldn t even want anyone else to work on my car.

5 stars for Mike! My boyfriend is a track and field competitor and had a huge competition we had to travel to when we discovered we had a flat tire. We showed up at pepboys needing the quickest tire change service known to man and Mike made it happen for us with kindness and a smile! So thankful. Highly recommend!

Went for oil change on a car I recently purchased. While Pep Boys inspected my vehicle, they found a large green hose clamp on a hose that shouldn't have been there. They notified me of it. I took to dealer that did work 2 months prior in the area of the clamp. Clamp and repairs were made by dealer at no cost to me. If iclamp had been left on severe damage over time would have occurred. Appreciate pep boys for their thorough service.

I went in to get a headlight replaced, the process was easy and customer service was friendly. I left and 2 hours later the buld was out again. I reached out to headquarters told I would be called back within 2 days, it has been several days with no return call. I took my car to walmart, had the bulb replaced again and no issues.

Scheduled an appointment for an alignment which is pretty straight forward. Upon my arrival, it took 5-7 minutes for someone to notice that I arrived for my appointment. Once checked in, I waited half an hour longer than the anticipated time. No big deal. At checkout, I was not provided before and after data spec printouts which are routinely given for vehicle maintenance. I requested these at the point of checkout and was told they are not provided and was told to trust they did the work . Weird I made it home and called back to see if I was able to get the before and after alignment data on a different day, as I expect data can be pulled after a service has been done. Technology nowadays is great. Steven, the service employee, told me the printer was not working and essentially, I was out of luck. The next morning, my husband wanted to inquire further, as he knows a little more. Steven again, answered the phone. My husband explained that I was in the night prior and wanted to see if we could get the information from the service performed the evening before. Steven proceeded to raise his voice and say What, you don t trust my work?! and hung up the phone. While I m not disputing that the service was performed, I do expect documentation to be provided as it is most everywhere (including Pep Boys as verified by their district manager). Absolutely disgusting customer service at this location. Thank goodness for the Elgin location and dedicated district management who did address this issue. Just avoid Streamwood at all costs!Edit to add: I just completed an alignment check at the Elgin PepBoys (day after I paid the Streamwood location for an alignment). Got a before and after printout. Apparently Streamwood did NOT do a full alignment as specs were still outside manufacturer recommendations. Have the paperwork to prove it. Way to suck Streamwood. Quit cheating people out of money and do the services that were paid for by your customers. Thanks Elgin for fixing everything. By the way, Elgin customer service is absolutely amazing. You guys rock!

Very friendly. Under new management. Made sure everything was checked and inspected. Raymond, the store manager, was friendly and even was generous to add extra discounts to my final total. Would definitely recommend.

Great Service, Exceptional Customer service, Tony was great and very helpful, he explained everything to me and went above and beyond to help me have the tire locks removed as I did not have the key due to a theft. I would go back to them for any services on any of my vehicles.

Overall, I've had excellent service.I've been fixing my car here for 2 years. 3 months ago, I had brakes & rotors done, and my brakes still squeaked a bit. I took it back twice and there was nothing Valentin could do about the noise. I read that sometimes that happens.The other day, I purchased two tires for $187, so the prices are reasonable. Kelly helped me find the right tires for the best price.Every other experience has been well besides that one with the brakes.

Tony was working hard scrambling phone was ringing off the hook and still took the time to take care of me and my needs with a good attitude and patience, very impressed! Jose the mechanic took care of my cars needs in half the time I expected it to take! I m very pleased and will be back trusting the pep boys

I cannot thank Tony and Odie enough for all they have done for me at Pepboys! Always honest and pure in their delivery from start to finish. I have had multiple cars serviced through this particular branch in Streamwood and I would NOT take my vehicles anywhere else, unless they could not perform the necessary work. It's hard to find good honest o?shops where you not only feel welcome but you know you are in excellent hands when you leave. The proof has always been in the post pick up experience. Things are on point and the car is as clean as I brought to them. I have always felt respected acknowledged and thanked for being a pepboys member. They don't have to do that. This is a very down to earth trustworthy environment and I'm thankful they have worked on my BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes, Ford Explorer, Range Rover and Cadillac SRX. my car had over heating problem, they diagnosed and promised 2 day fix...which took them 4 at first and when I picked up it was still heating up, all the way to red mark. I had to return it 3 other time and 2x had to bring it back while it is steaming under the hood. Not sure what they are testing after the fix. it cost me 1500 dollars and after 4 returns it was still not fixed..at the end i got tired of it and went to dealer and traded the car in. very bad experience...need better mechanics, who know what they are doing and team members who are really testing the car before giving it back to the customer. At the end i spent 1500 and problem was not fixed and i ended up trading the car in because they could not fix it. not sure even the 1500 fix was required, I wasted the fix since i could not use the car after the fix and ended up trading it in. i would give 0 rating if i could....

5 stars for the brakes done on my car, but as i left Pep-Boys i noticed my truck was weak on acceleration, so i drove slowly home, (2.5 miles away) the next day i connect the truck to my computer and a faulty map air sensor error, so i assumed with a little cleaner i can take care if it, as i proceeded to loosen up the air intake hose past the air box that houses the air filter, i notice a blue rag i keep in the engine compartment to check my oil, this rag was placed not by accident but on purpose to block the air going into the engine! Now they probably expect me to return and cause my concern so they can charge me an outrageous price! They would know exactly what the problem is!!

I had a nail in the sidewall of my tire which made it unrepairable. I purchased my original tires from Pep Boys and asked them to replace the damaged tire with the same make/model/brand. The tire was not in stock but John found a tire at a nearby location and had it delivered, and installed, the next day! Awesome service!
