My family and I have been using T's services for close to two years now. I feel that he is very transparent and doesn't force us to spend extra on unnecessary repairs. We appreciate his honesty and will continue having our vehicles serviced at Maks.

Mak s auto repair is my trusted go to for any issues or required repairs. The manager T is friendly, professional and explains everything before and after job completion. I find their cost for repairs very fair.

This will be my go to place for car repairs. T was super help and was able to ease my anxiety with my older car. He and his team looked the over everything from front to back, ensured my car was safe to drive and returned it to me in a reasonable time.They are short staffed which did extend the time of to repair my car by a day, but that didn t hinder the quality of care for both the car and the customer.

I wouldn t suggest this mechanic to anyone at all. I had engine light came up. I called him and he said it will cost $180 for diagnostic and will be able to check it on Monday. I agreed to amount and got my car towed to Maks Auto on Saturday. I called him on Monday. They told me they were unable to check my car. Same answer on Tuesday. They finally got my car diagnosed on Wednesday and were telling me to make decision in minutes. They kept calling me through out the day. They weren t sure if the engine was gone. They suggested me couple of items needed to be replaced and even after replacing those items they aren t sure it will fix 100% of the problem. They are like if we put external parts then we will be able to know if anything is wrong inside the engine. If they came to know after replacing those suggested parts if something is wrong inside the engine then it is extra on top of what I would be paying. They told me opening the engine will cost $2000. I guess that would be equally to new engine cost. They were keep forcing me to spend 1600 bucks for nothing. Since, I didn t agree to that solution they gave me another option after few hours where they can try just changing timing of the engine and few parts first. But again it won t fix the problem. I asked them to give me few hours to make my decision since they kept calling me in middle of my work. After, I called them back saying I don t wanna try any solution at this point just put the engine back however it was. Now, they told me they already try replacing few parts and timing of the engine and engine seems to run fine but I will still need to get additional parts repaired as was suggest earlier which will cost around 1600. I m like I never agreed to changing any parts in the car. They are like how do we know if the engine is bad without changing the parts so we did. If you want you car back you ll have to pay $180 + $250 for the labor + parts and at some point they told me I have to pay for putting engine back together and started telling me the phone is being recorded after 5,6 call being made to me. If the call is being recorded they should mentioned it at the beginning and they were recording call without my consent. Im like check your call recording I never mentioned changing or replacing any parts. He is like but you mentioned you would like to know if engine is bad or not so we replace the parts. I was already done with this guy. Next day, told him that I wanted car back as it was and don t want anything to be done with this car he is like this call is recorded and if you don t pick up your car today it will be $80 for storage. This guy was storing my car for 3 days and now telling me this. Basically, he wanted to rip us off one way or another.

I needed some repairs to a couple of our cars. I did some looking into good reviews and Maks had mostly good ones and is close to where we live, so I took a chance. They absolutely lived up to all the 5 star reviews! "T" runs the shop and is very knowledgeable about all things cars. Cars were good-to-go the very first time with no hassle, and I feel certain I got a good deal. No up-selling, just honest facts, and cars are running well now. They took very good care of the problem I had with my Dodge Grand Caravan. They not only fixed the issue reported but also provided right guidance for other potential issues without looking for additional business! I recommend this place for quality service and right guidance!!

I recommend Maks Auto Repair to everyone I know. They are great neighbors in our community! T and his team go above and beyond; always explaining what s wrong and showing me the problem. I trust them and know that they are not trying to take advantage to make an extra buck. I found myself needing an urgent repair on a Saturday afternoon for my car because my engine splash shield became completely dislodged and started dragging on the ground -- exposing the innards of my car. Luckily I stumbled across Tarang and his shop.Maks Auto Repair is a minority-owned, family/small business and they're as honest as they come. Tarang made me feel as if I were an extension of his family even though we just met. He is a local that represents Streamwood very well. They don't push products or service on you and will only tell you what needs to be done at a fair price.Tarang and his team didn't just repair my issue, they completely fortified my underbody. I haven't felt this confident about my car's health since I bought it from the dealer. I really wished I took a before and after picture.Please keep in mind that due to the labor shortage and this establishment being a small-business, there may be a short wait. However, rest-assured you will get the highest level of service and could guarantee that your best interests will be in their minds.I live an hour away from Streamwood but whenever I require auto work, I will make sure I call Maks for any future repairs. Maks Auto Repair is a great place to service and repair your vehicle. They offer tremendous professional customer service and knowledgeable technicians. I own a used car dealership and Maks repairs and services all our cars that we put up for sale. Mr. T and his crew ensure our vehicles meet our standards by inspecting tires, brakes, engine, transmission, suspension, and full inspection. By providing quality work to our vehicles we are able to maintain 5 star reviews and ratings. I highly recommend Maks Auto Repair for honest diagnosis and high quality work. They treat everyone like family.

Way too expensive for parts and labour than Firestone or any other auto store. The same parts which the owner (T) claims that's installed, cost on AutoZone is half of what the bill says (I verified the part numbers and cost on AutoZone). I should have explored other options, it's my mistake I bindly went with reference from my neighbor. A costly lesson learned, ended up paying 2X for parts alone + labour charges are crazy too. Very disappointed with my experience.

They got me in same day for brake repair and oil change. They offered to drive me home/pick me up while my car was being repaired. Good communication about their findings. Quick repair, they estimated a time frame and it was spot on. My final total came in under the estimate they gave me. Prices were fair. Overall I was very pleased with my experience!

The best automobile service from best mechanics in town. They are dedicated to provide a quality services to each of their customers. I have been getting all of my cars services at this place only ever since they opened their doors for business and I have never been disappointed with quality of their work. I always get an honest estimates of the services and fair price/discount for being their loyal customers. I have referred to them to all my friends and family members. They all have similar opinion about the servicez they got from Maks Auto Repair. I been looking for a trustworthy shop for awhile. I finally found it, "T" was very professional and addressed all my concerns. Took my car in for front end noise, as I suspected it was a bearing. T took it for a test drive and also was listening for other issues. He was detailed in the process and notified me of the repairs needed after the inspection. It ended up to be a bad bearing and also he found additional items that had to be addressed.Worked in a timely manner and the price is very fair!

We had no choice but to take our car into this shop. The staff was friendly and they got the work done in a timely manner, but they really stuck us when it came to the bill. 2 days after we got the car back, we had to have it towed to our regular shop because all of a sudden it wouldn t start anymore. After we had the work completed to fix it, again, our regular mechanic told us he would have charged us half as much for the repair as Mak s did.

My car has been cared for by T at Maks for nearly four years. He keeps me safely on the road and I trust him wholeheartedly. I had my car serviced recently to get it ready for the emissions test. He wouldn't accept payment until the car passed. This is the kind of conscientiousness and professionalism that places this repair shop in a category all its own.

T, the owner I dealt with is extremely knowledgeable about fixing cars, he walked me around under the car showing me the new shocks and struts and such he installed and the rusty, busted ones for comparison. He carries quality synthetic oil so I won't need to bring my own like I did to Jiffy Lube. His prices are very reasonable for all the work I had done. I will be going back there.4/11/18 - I went back to Maks to get the oil changed and T inspected everything and found my brakes were thin and my bearings needed replacing. He showed me all the worn parts. It is good to know my car is in good shape now.

I came in for a rattling sound coming from underneath of my car. The shop owner and the mechanics took a look at it and found it was the heat shield, they were able to re secure it in less than 15 minutes! This shop always has great customer service and explain any questions you have.

These guys are some of the nicest people I've ever met.My car has been buggy as hell, and they have fixed every issue. I had to go to a different mechanic recently because my car died when I was in Madison, WI and they didn't connect my alternator right. They took care of it right away and didn't even charge me for it! Give them a shot. They're great!

Outstanding service from the MAK car garage. I had to take my car to this location in emergency, as my car would not start. After my car diagnose, I came to know it was the starter that was problem. I'm very much pleased with service and I got my car back the same day.They know how to make the customer happy...I totally recommend this place for your car problems.

I recently went by because there was a loud scraping sound under my tires. Brake pads and roters were replaced within three days.Throughout, the owner communicated the progress on my car, and gave accurate estimates along the way. After, he made sure to look for any discounts on the parts and service. Tarang also made sue to show me exactly what had been making the noise in my car, and why the parts needed to be replaced.Super friendly service and staff. I go here for my oil change as well and it's always really quick and efficient.I have never had any problems with this facility, and strongly recommend!

I had a horrible experience with this place and its owners. Must say first that they did provide acceptable or above average service in my initial encounters but that did not last. Last summer my car was in that shop for over a week and while they tried to fix it, they broke it more and I had to pay for their entire miss up! It was my experience that they were enjoying ripping me off every time I took it to them and the main auto mechanic and brother of the owner "Tarang" was admitting that they were making good money form that car! They charged me $1000 and for a problem that was not fixed at the end after one week and the engine light was still on. his excuse was so silly that the car was old and has very high mileage! they knew it was old and they should have said that from the beginning. Was very unprofessional and lousy job and I was planning to take them to court. I reported them to the better business bureau. Never again!

If you are looking for honesty this is NOT the place! A 75 year old lady has been a customer with them for years. They bought her car off her and pretty much stole it from her. Gave her only $300 because her window didnt work....turned around and tried to sell it to me for $3k until I told them I knew what they did to the lady and they then told me it wasnt for sale and hushed me out the door. Terrible people. Stay away. Only could imagine what else they are telling people is wrong with their cars. Call it 'business' all you want...thats not how you treat people, especially patrons.
