Services here are done quick, reasonably priced, and honest. I went to my subaru dealer and was told all my brakes were near done and needed to be replaced. I came here and was informed my back brakes still had another 20000 miles to go. I highly recommend coming here for all your car needs.

The place is run by an amazing gentleman who has so much integrity built into the business. He is honest, to the point and courteous. He diagnoses for free, gives you his honest opinion and wouldn t even charge for it. But helps you take the next steps. Trust me folks, you want a good mechanic for your entire family, he is the one that I would recommend. In this day and age, you really need a good person to service your car. Genesis Auto does it for you.

I stopped by this morning for brake related concern and over due oil change. It was my first visit to the new location since they moved from Arlington Heights a couple of weeks ago. The owner thoroughly checked the brakes and test drove to understand my concern. He gave a very honest diagnosis and assured me of safety. He suggested that I drive another 10,000 miles until I am in need of brake jobs eventually. I just have oil change done this time, and I am planning to go back for the recommended brake job.

I had an emergency issue with the brake lines in my Lexus. Peter was able squeeze me in on a Saturday and got it fixed the same.day. I am SO thankful, especially because I was in an extreme time crunch and needed my car the next day. The car was done right around the time he said it would be. Mr. Shin, owner of Barrington Auto is so kind, reasonable and professional. Since I got auto care service from him, I feel very comfortable and lucky. I have been driving my old mini-van since 2008. I had many car problems and I paid several thousands for maintaining the car.Before I knew Mr. Shin's auto care service, I was serviced by other mechanic. They charged a lot of money even though they did not fix perfectly. Very frustrated. Now I am so happy to know this place. Please go and let them check your car. They are so helpful and have been able to fix anything that has gone wrong. My entire family have been customers for 4 or 5 years now and we're always happy with the service, speed, and price. Shin's is the most honest mechanic that I have ever known. If you don't need the service to be done, Shin will discourage you to spend the money for the unnecessary service. Couple of years ago, another shop suggested that I need to change the oil pan for about $300 because of oil leak. I did not trust them and I brought to Shin to take a look. Shin said a new oil pan is not needed and he just fixed the pan opening as part of the oil change. I know I can always trust Shin! He is the most honest business man I know!

It's hard to trust any mechanic but at Barrington Shin Autos, they take care of you. They give you their honest opinion at a very afforable rate. I'd recommend their service from any minor fix to anything major.

What I like about this place is the family-oriented shop where you don't have to ask for a lot of things to be checked at once since they do it for you once you establish a good relationship with them.Although it's a bit far, I'm still visiting this place regularly due to comfort of their services as well as much cheaper fees.
