I had a fantastic buying experience with Barkau Automotive. Kyle was my sales associate, and was extremely professional and efficient. I made the 1 and a half hour drive their because I felt confident in the service after my conservation with him. We purchased a used car that has some miles on it for our son to drive , we noticed a issue after the sale and Kyle was extremely quick to make it right which we are very appreciative of, even giving us a loner car while it was repaired all at no cost. I will be making the drive again for our next vehicle purchase because I truly value this type of service this day and age!

My wife and I have purchased many vehicles over the years and it's always been a stressful, aggravating experience. I can honestly say that has changed with our most recent experience at Barkau Automotive in Stockton, IL. I found a vehicle we were interested in on Marketplace and reached out for info. The sales rep, Kyle Bruscato, responded quickly and professionally. We met at the dealership and were very impressed with his knowledge, communication and demeanor. The whole sales process was painless and when we closed the deal, finance rep, Issac Jackson was every bit as good as Kyle. Loved giving the shop dog belly rubs too. Highly recommended.

The Barkau Automotive Group is a shining example of why it is better to do business in a small town! From the first phone call to the final delivery-the experience was SEAMLESS! I worked directly with Kyle in sales, and, Issac in finance. They were transparent, honest, and trustworthy throughout the entire process. Buying a used vehicle from almost three hours away can be full of uncertainty. However, Kyle put me at ease with walk around videos, auto history reports, and patiently answered all of my questions. 48 hours later I have my beautiful 2022 Ram 1500 Limited sitting in my driveway. Even the delivery driver, Roger, sat with me after signing all the documents for some warm meaningful conversation. If you are in the market for a vehicle you owe it to yourself to give Barkau Automotive a call. They will treat you like family! Thanks again!

I bought my 2022 Jeep Renegade in September of 2023. Before purchasing they told me I had to wait as there was a paint issue due to the drivers decal coming off and when they went to take it off it went through the top coat. After they repainted it I was clear for buying it. After getting it home I noticed the fender looked dented. Which if it was the door they had to repaint why was the fender also painted? Wasn t making sense. So I took it back up. They sent it back to the their body shop. It was in the shop for a handful of days. Got it back and on my drive home the side blinker came out of place while I was driving and it was bouncing around on the fender scratching it. Once I got home I noticed the plastic molding piece along the bottom looked like someone took a box cutter and scratched in to it. I called up and ended up taking the car back again. They had my car again for a handful of days to replace the molding and fix the scratches. Then I got a phone call stating the paint didn t match so it all had to be repainted again. I m frustrated at this time. I asked to have it taken elsewhere for the body work but told me no. Told me they wouldn t tow it to and from but they were putting 30miles one way on my car mind you. I finally get my car back. For some reason there were bumps in the paint up the side of my windshield! Why was this painted!? After that they finally sent it to our local body shop where it was finally fixed. We noticed that day my front brake rotor had grooves in it. Brakes started grinding so it went back in the shop for new front brakes. Then, a couple weeks later it had to get all new back brakes along with an alignment that their service dept told me it was normal and it was a new car it just had to settle in. What! Months later I try to trade it in as I have decided I am over it and just wanted something different. Here to find out they sold me A BRAND NEW VEHICLE WITH AN ACCIDENT REPORT ON IT! They didn t even tell me! The report states front end/side damage. Hmm is this why they had to paint the fender along with the door!? It s all making sense now. I tried to get them to buy it back right after I bought it and their GM told me that it would absolutely not happen because the transaction was already done. I like to try and stay local for my business and hunted for a car for years before settling on this. I feel lied to about the whole thing. I don t know how this can even be legal. If you want to go somewhere where you are a transaction for their benefit vs a customer that they care about, you are in the right place. I will never buy another vehicle from them or refer anyone to them.

Sent me home with purchased car low on engine coolant after their full inspection. Fan running full high, very loud. Service could not be bothered to address it next day even though it was their mistake. Now it's the weekend so I have to wait till Monday. Offered loaner but could of been resolved efficiently the day I called at 9:00am. Will see what happens Monday, not feeling confident. What else was missed? Great vehicle just sitting in garage. Everyone is quite nice but that does not resolve my problem.

Called and was able to get an appointment in just 2 days and got right in at 7 in the morning for an oil change and tire rotation. They also let me know the stereo system had an update and asked if I wanted that done, so that was taken care of as well. I received excellent service!! Thank you!!

It only took one phone call to Cullen Barkau for him to find us the perfect vehicle. Cullen was extremely courteous and answered all of our questions promptly and courteously.We are delighted with our new vehicle and l would, no doubt, purchase another vehicle through Barkau automotive in the future.

Easily the best and quickest experience I've ever had in buying a vehicle. I called in the morning to check availability, drove two hours, test drove, signed paperwork, was out the door, and back home by dinner (including an hour detour due to forgetting my sweatshirt). Kyle was an absolute champion! Will absolutely come back if the need arises again.

I was searching for a replacement truck shopping around and I found what I was looking for at Barkau. Troy the sales rep was very knowledgeable and was a joy to work with. Everybody I meet at the dealership was very friendly. I would highly recommend you look at their inventory GREAT people to deal with.

I purchased a 2021 ram 2500 from Troy sales and it was by far one of the best experiences I have had buying an auto. I have been buying ram trucks/keeps since 2014 & never had such a stand up helpful salesman like Troy. Issac from finance was also very professional and very helpful, together they made my experience here great. I will buy from them again without a doubt.

I have bought one vehicle from Barkau. Our company has bought many vehicles. The service that receive is outstanding. I'm in the process of looking for a new truck and these guys have done everything they can to try to find exactly what I'm looking for, which now days is not easy. If you want the best in service I would highly recommend Barkau

We were in a bind traveling from northwest Illinois to Chicago when we needed to replace a wheel bearing. The service manager Justin empathetically understood our issue and took the time to squeeze us into the service department for the fix without an appointment. At this point, we had called several garages in the area and all had told us no they could not help us that day. I felt like Kyle was apart of our family. He was so friendly and efficient! Barkau is a great place to buy a vehicle. The whole team from sales people to the retailers are wonderful! I would recommend to family and friends. I had a horrible experience at Kunes Country in Sterling(unprofessional staff and dirty vehicles).This is the only place I will buy a vehicle from now on is Barkau. Kyle thank you so much!
