Went in for a wheel alignment they called me and told me they couldn't do it because they found a bunch of things wrong with my jeep over 2k in repairs supposedly and the main priority was getting the lower control arm fixed and supposedly the struts could wait. I ended up paying $75 regardless cause they looked at it and they said they would put that towards my bill when I get the alignment and control arm fixed. I ended up having 2 different mechanics check my jeep and nothing wrong was except my tire sensor and turn signal bulb. So they just make things up and hope you fall for it what a shame kept my $75 won't ever be going back. I have not heard positive feedback from people I know about this place.

I had a great experience at Scott's U-Save. I needed a complete set of tires for my 4-year-old Hyundai Sonata. I spoke with Tony in the tire department and he had a quote for me within 10 minutes. I was able to get upgraded Michelin tires that he ordered for me. They were there for me within the day and my car was completed the same day even though the store was very busy. Their pricing was better than any major discount auto repair chain. The service was quick and efficient. What counted more was that I got great customer service, responsiveness and quality auto care. I will definitely be back for new brakes soon. I would highly recommend Scott's U-Save to family and friends. Scott's is just about 2 blocks south of Steger Road at 35th Place on Chicago Road on the west side of the street.

I would give them zero Stars if I could I brought my car there with the reference of a few people and was only left with being let down. I was charged $165 for a test that wielded no answers and was still charged the money for the test. Would not recommend waste of time and money especially after they had my car for multiple days and still could not figure anything out.Also you guys said you found three codes but yet did not offer to help me with the codes by fixing them. no bueno

I had some uneven tire wear on my pick up truck. I made an appointment and dropped it off. The truck, 2003 2500HD silverado 6.0 crew cab had 134000 miles on it. Control arms, upper and lower ball joints were replaced and an alignment was done. Truck drives great now.

Scott's rips off women. They see a woman come in alone and all of a sudden you need extensive work and you should make an appointment for new tires, even though you know yours are fine.

With "U Save" in the name, you would think you wouldn't be charged 3x as much JUST for diagnostics as other mechanics in the neighborhood. $140 just to plug in the machine, press a couple buttons and find out what's wrong? Absolutely diabolical. Anyone else in the neighborhood will charge ~$50. I didn't even want to find out how much the repair would be. If you want to save money, don't go to Scott's U Save.

Scott s is NOT the place to go for what should be a quick oil change. I made an appointment a week in advance, showed up on time and was asked if I m leaving my car or staying .for an oil change WITH an appointment. Was told it would currently take 1.5-2 hours for the oil change. That is something that should be conveyed when you make the appointment. On my one day off I am not sitting 2 hours waiting for an oil change. Jiffy Lube in Glenwood had me in and out in 20 minutes.Service: Oil change

Fast and friendly. I got new wheels and tires and my wife got a lift kit, wheels, and tires. Lift was done in a couple days and wheels only took a couple days to arrive. Selection wasn t the best but I m still satisfied. They also have financing if your short on cash.

From my experience, I will not be patronizing this company anymore. The people who work here aren t friendly. Most that work here are racist, as well as some of the customers that come in for service. The prices are outrageous. They charge too much to fix small issues. I recently got my car fixed from them in April. Only to come back to have new issues which needed to be addressed. I don t feel like the issues be related to what s really wrong with the car. I feel like they just be telling me anything just to get more money. They don t work with you on prices. What are you really saving??? I shouldn t have to spend over 2,000$ just to come back 3 months later and have to spend over 1,000$. This company is ridiculous and I ve been to better mechanics with better customer service and have not been charged nearly as much as this company tries to charge. Upon looking up the pricing of parts myself. They try to charge 3 times more than what the part actually cost, and they triple the labor price as well

Charged me 1200 for trans lines and two fittings and trans cooler worst place never bring my car truck here again then try charge for tire flat but got pics was ok befor on flat bed and off over charged for job and all nva again bring here again I could rebuilt my trans and all for tht knew I had have done and over charged

The service was great. I discovered I had balded tires in my driveway at 8am and they took me right away and had me pulled in by 845am. I appreciated the technician being thorough and making sure the tires were good and road worthy. It took a long time... but when the first tire he put on was not good he took the time to get a good one and check to make sure he was helping me stay safe on the road. Then we discovered I had a 2nd balded tire and he changed that too! Scott s has been taking care of my vehicles for years now. I am always given honest advice, and I never feel like my pockets are being picked through a false depiction of what my car needs . They tell me the truth! If I come in with a problem I know I will get a thorough assessment and honest information on what is going on with my car. Thank you so much to this team! You are not only taking care of my vehicles you are taking care of my family.

Scott's U- Save does a lot for Charites at the end of the year. Our organization has received a donation from them. This was our second year in a row so far. So please patronize them.

I HAVE to Update/Edit my review! This auto service place WAS my & my family's go-to for all our auto service needs, but I had a terrible experience, and I'm still suffering from it! I was having issues with my heat. I thought I needed to have my heater core replaced, but the tech/they suggested to flush it. They said that's probably all it is. I was fine with that. It was a cheaper solution anyway, so cool! What they DID NOT explain to me is if that didn't work, I'll still have to pay for that service and then pay for my core to be replaced?!? I understand that things cost, but you have to explain the whole scenario so that I can make a decision accordingly! I gave away around $500 to have NO HEAT! I also tried to speak with a manager multiple times, but I never received a response or returned call. I loved the place before this incident, but it's not right to take a person's hard earned money without any resolution or attempt to resolve.

I called to see what it would cost to put my passengerwindow back on track and replace window motor if needed. The parts are under 100 dollars and they quoted me for 1000 dollars to fix it. Takes mabe and hour to fix with the part and th right tools. And I already opened the door so it's easy access. And they still said 1000 dollars. That's rediculous. I didn't want my wi down down in the rain so I was gunna pay a shop instead of waiting on the part in the mail and risk my seats getting wet from rain. But screw that. I'll wait for part. It was 60 dollars. And ill fix it myself within an hour. Get other quotes before u go here. They up charge bad

Scott's was a lifesaver!I Thank God, and Scott's, alongside with the tow driver, and Family that came to our aid. We had a tire rip open from the roadside dilemma we faced on our travels to lunch with the Girls, Fri, Nov. 10. Scott's got the spare on sooner than they projected, on we were on our way before we know it! Thanks Guys.

I came in to Scott s U-Save on Wednesday morning with no appointment scheduled. I explained that my wife was leaving out of town for a few days later in the afternoon and that I needed 2 tires changed out on her car. They had no open availability but Dave was able to squeeze me in so my wife would have a safe car to take on her trip. They were very professional and they have the best customer service!!! I will continue to go there for any of my car repair needs. Thanks again Dave!Service: Tires

Great experience! I had to go there to get a tire repaired, and they took great care of me. Explained their services to me, and offered other things free of charge. They were honest and transparent from the start. They made me feel welcome and that they appreciated my business. I will definitely go back for any future automotive needs. I've had my car taken care of plenty of times from this place. All of the employees and workers are super friendly and they know what they're doing. I've been purchasing tires from Scott's U-Save since I've gotten my Drivers license. {Um a long time ago} Most of the time I deal with Dave, however the rest of the crew always will take care of you in a friendly and professional manner. My last appointment was with Tori for a tire rotation. Tori got me in and out very quickly, I always appreciate the tire prices and the service that comes with it. Great work very fast.But the man behind the counter with long goatee was very very rude. He should be working on the cars, not as service manager, he has no people skills. I simply ask if my car was done. Because it was off the rack. He replied in unprofessional way. I even apologize for asking but he keeped on talking, I had to walk away.

please stay away from this shop save yourself the hassle. was quoted $495 to replace ball joints and wheel alignment i gave them the green light to work on itCouple hours later they called me saying truck was ready and that it s going to be $1,487.15thought the reviews were fake about scotts u save tires up charging last minute turns out they were true.I was there just last week i got the invoice in hand to prove it.There s no reason for you to be lying.

I drive thru a storm and saw my PSi drop to 0. I made the poor choice to try to get home and ended up driving on a very blown tire.The next day my car was towed to Scott s. They went out of there way to try to get a tire that day. Had to wait till Tuesday but the put a spare on and I could turn in my loaner. Tire was ready Tuesday and looks great. The cost was way less than I expected. These are honest good people!Service: Tires

My daughters car broke down and we barely made it to the shop because it kept stalling. They estimated the total repairs at $1919, we had to replace the purge valve to the cost of $539. $1600 for spark plugs and tune up. NO WAY!! Only to die out when she left the shop. She returned from across the street and they said we told you that you had dirty spark plugs. We got the car home and fixed at Crete Auto shop. We didn't need the valve or spark plugs per the other shop.WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!!

Do not get a free 100 point inspection. After my mother got an oil change she also found that she had no brakes During her trip home, Luckily my mother is quick thinking and used the emergency break to save her life. During my inspection I discovered Scratches and evidence of prying at the broken points of the brake line. After speaking to them on the phone they denied they were responsible. The local police must be protecting the corrupted business as they refused to make a report.
