Awesome employees. Knew what they were doing (not like the experience I ve had at other uhaul locations). Clean location. Would return!

I dont know which is worse-The entire company orThe workers at this specific location. This place is not worth the hassle nor struggle. I suggest going farther out for a better experience. There will be a lot of back and forth with these people, especially one of the front desk people that likes to play dense with a splash of coy :)

The customer service person that was in the hub this morning, was fully aware that the truck she assigned us was having issues and assured us that the truck was fine and we were not going to have issues. Now was are currently sitting in a parking lot broke down with a U-Haul loaded and road assistance has been unable to find a vendor to get to us to get back on the road for over an hour now! This is terrible, and unacceptable. How do you knowingly put someone in a rental knowing they are traveling about 300 miles round trip!

I had a reservation to pick up trailer 30 min away...now, they call me and tell me I have to pick up 1 1/2 hour away. I wasn't informed of any of this information when they took my money for the reservation. KIM, a very angry woman obviously having a bad day, from the Corporate office in Springfield, IL called and was yelling at me saying I would have to take the reservation or she would cancel it. KIM in no way tried to help me resolve the issue. Kim said didn't care what the people at U-haul told me. KIM needs a lesson in customer service. Clearly, she hates her job and isn't into helping people.

Rented a truck on December 18th. Had it back by the next day. The system was down so I was given a hand written note by an employee outlining that the truck had 1/16th a tank of gas in it. They told me everything I filled up past a quarter tank would be reimbursed to me. Went ahead and filled the 40 gallon truck up. So here I am late January still no refund. They offered me 30$ unless I could present the note. Left work, brought them the note and handed it to the manager over a week ago. Wheres my money, you guys are literally stealing from me. It's not my fault your system went down. I just want what I was promised twice now. Once by the two counter workers and once by the manager.

The manager, Steve, helped me restore my trailer rental reservation to my original request, by finding one that had just become available from the shop at the Uhaul on Clearlake Dr (uHaul corp called me a few days earlier and indicated my original reservation could only be met with a smaller trailer, unless I was willing to drive an hour further to get one at Havana, Il.) He went above and beyond to help me get the larger trailer I had orginally tried to reserve. Excellent service!

Horrible experience! I made a reservation for a large trailer weeks ahead of time. When I got there to pick up the trailer, they had given it to someone else and said they could give me a small trailer. A really nice guy overheard me letting the U-Haul staff know a small trailer wouldn't work for me and he said U-Haul had upgraded him to the size trailer I had reserved, but he would rather have the smaller size. He said I could have his trailer and he would take my small one. I thought the problem was solved. The U-Haul staff got the guy his trailer and came back to help me. He checked his computer and said, oh sorry, someone else just reserved that bigger trailer while I was helping that last guy. I couldn't believe it. They seriously just rented the trailer out from under me and left me without a trailer unless I wanted to drive two hours in the wrong direction to pick up a trailer at another location. I'll never even try to use U-Haul again. I would think this is something that couldn't really happen. But, it did!

I rented a truck that was taken and "abandoned" in Chicago before I got it, the guy told me. Wreaked of smoke. Then before I returned it I stopped at Quick and EZ across the street and put gas in it, more gas than when I picked up the vehicle. Later I see a charge for 2 gallons of gas on my receipt. I was sicken and stunned. Disputing with my credit card or taking these people to court.

Can't never get a answer from them. The people in the store is rude! You should never have to call corporate to get an answer. Definitely don't recommend getting a storage unit thru this Particular one!! If I could zero star this I definitely would!Also, there is also noone in this particular store anymore and they never sent a letter to say they were moving or anything!

Ridiculous, unprofessional, unacceptable. Drove 4 hours after reserving a truck for 2 weeks only to be told the didn't have a truck for me because The guy that Booked the reservation transposed a phone number. They did get me a smaller truck which I still couldn't fit all my stuff from moving on and then I was told there would be a $50. 00 credit on my bill ( which they didn't give me). I also had to drive across town to pick up the truck they finally did give me. Which slowed my moving process down even more. I will be contacting uhaul corporate and if no resolution is reached this will be my last time using them for truck rental.

My husband and I rented a large moving truck on Sunday for pick-up on that following Thursday at this specific location. On Wednesday, we received a note that our truck was in Decatur and that we would need to pick it up there instead. When my husband called to explain that we live in Springfield the worker was not at all helpful. In fact, he had a "that's just too bad" attitude. He told my husband that it is in their policy that some driving may be involved to pick-up a rental - a 1-hour drive is NOT ACCEPTABLE and with less than 24-hours notice. Safe to say we will never be renting from them again.

Beware local business practices. Do not rent from uHaul on Stevenson Dr in Springfield IL. A uHaul employee made a mistake and told me contradictory information than what they had in policy. The store nor the corporate office made amends due to the situation. The result is the company benefitted from $80 in additional profit and offered no recourse to make it right.This is a terrible way to treat long time customers. I will be doing business elsewhere from now on.

I tried them twice. Both times tried to get a 4 x8 trailer. One time called it in and the other came in person. They screwed up the rental both times soo bad that I tried to call customer service to get help but waited over 30 min and did not get an answer. Luckily the uhall on Bruns lane has a manager willing to help because this location is a joke!!!!

Stopped in here on the way to Chicago Illinois from Kansas because the place in Chicago I was supposed to grab a Uhaul trailer at was giving me the run around.Jabril got my reservation transferred to their store and on the road I was in record time. Friendly, helpful, caring staff! Thank you Jabril!

Aside from the staff calling the police because someone is waiting on their S/O who has the unit key... Not gonna lie, the staff sucks here.

Security is lax. 2 outside units were broken into, twice! When reported to the office, they just brushed it off.
