recently found myself in a tough spot while traveling back to Wisconsin. It was Sunday evening, around 10pm, and to my dismay, I encountered tire issues with my vehicle. In such a late hour, finding a tire repair service seemed almost impossible. However, Arthur from South Grand Tire and Repair was not only open but also offered mobile services a true rarity!Just like the experiences of others, Arthur s professionalism and efficiency were exceptional. He arrived promptly, equipped with all the necessary tools. His expertise was evident as he quickly assessed the situation and set to work. I called dude at 3:00pm today which is April 7, 2024 to get a tire repair he told me he a be here in 15-20 mins and here it is 7:23 Pm and I m still on the side of the road with no tire and he told me $220 dollars I would of paid that with no problem but can t pay him because he is a liar he will leave you stuck on the side of the road with your kids like he did me all he had to do was say he wasn t coming instead of lying now he don t want to answer the phone I advice y all don t call him it sounded like he was drinking and some more stuff

I'm from Tennessee was driving home truck broke down called them up. Guy said he was just finishing a call and will be over to me. That was 11:00 am 2:30 he called said he will be right over. I'm writing this at11:00 pm he will not answer his phone and has left me stranded over night and never showed. Do not trust them you are going to wait for them to leave you out in the cold and 7 hours from home.

Blew an inner rear tire on my motorhome on Sunday morning on I55. Limped to a gas station and called Aurther. He had the tire I needed, showed up within 30 min of my call and had me back on the road. Super nice guy and very reasonably priced. Saved me for sure when no one else was open or only worked on big rigs. Thank you!!

We were heading home from a camping trip and got a flat tire on our rv. He was the ONLY tire shop open on a Sunday AND he came to us!! He's mobile!!!! Very reasonably priced! He had the old tire off, the new tire on in no time and we were back on the road.Highly recommend!I'd give him 10 stars if I could!Service: Tires

Listen up people....I was 3 hours from home, visiting Springfield on a Sunday. I hit a curb and blew out both of the side walls on the driver side of my vehicle. NOBODY is open for tire repair in Springfield, BUT Arthur from South Grand tire was!! The problem was, I'm stuck at a Shell station. Arthur drove to me with a floor jack, jack stand a four-way. He took the tires off my rig, went back to his shop and returned with 2 like new tires, that he then reinstalled!!!! TOP NOTCH GUY!! He said he needed "X" dollars, I paid him "X" +$40 because he saved my bacon. He's a straight shooter that I would trust my wife to call up, alone. This guys is who you want to help you. He told me if it's on a car, he can fix it, he's got years of experience!! Believe what I'm saying people!!!!!

My tire blew and was completely off the rim when I contacted Arthur. I was expecting him to be unavailable for a few hours but when I called him he was available in a hour and then was available in 30 minutes which I was incredibly thankful for. He only took about 15 minutes to take care of everything and the price was exceptional. I really appreciate his great work and customer service skills. He's flexible within reason and I'm definitely going to keep his number on speed dial.Service: Tires

I hit a pothole here in Springfield and called Arthur. I have low profile tires on my rims.He was able to locate a tire and HE CAME TO ME.He put the tire on my rim right there in the lot I pulled into after the flat. Blew out a tire on the way to STL at 7pm on a Friday night. Everywhere was closed or didn t have the tire for my car. Arthur was able to get us a tire and replace within an hour and was very flexible!!! Thankful beyond words for helping us get to our destination and being so flexible!

I had a timing belt break on me and Arthur came through in a pinch. It was a Saturday afternoon and most places didn't have time to help me out. Called Arthur (business owner) and he not only fixed my timing belt, he also replaced the housing to make sure that the new belt wouldn't also break. Quick service and reasonable price considering it was the weekend and during off-hours. Much appreciated Arthur!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Arthur was a lifesaver. I was driving to Chicago from St. Louis in a moving van that had a broken tire valve, and he was very accommodating to meet us and repair the tire. Without this service, we would had to stop every 30 minutes to fill up the tire on the side of the road, and hope that it eventually got us back to Chicago safely. Arthur was FANTASTIC. We broke down on our way from Michigan to Missouri. He met us on site and did the repair accurately, efficiently, and at a very reasonable price. We had a hole in our tire at about 10:00 p.m. We were visiting in town and called here because it listed "24 hours" and he answered. He said to call when we got there. He met us at the business within 15 minutes of our arrival. His business is at his home in a dark neighborhood and is unlabeled. We just had to verify the address. Within about 20 minutes he had found the hole and plugged it solidly. The "low tire pressure" light went off immediately after we left. The repair got us back home and we have had no trouble with it since. The price was very fair, and the man was very courteous, respectful, and knowledgable. I'm sorry I do not know his name. We were glad to get the problem solved right then instead of getting a spare/dealing with it the next day. Thanks!

HORRILE BUSINESS!!! PLEASE READ!!!!Worst experience ever. Took four days to receive new tires. Once they got here and put on, it s been a month to the day now. Three of the new tires have no tread, have a bubble in one, one won t hold air. I called South Grand Tires and Repair back for the owner to tell me the tires were never new to begin with and there was nothing he could do for me. Did not receive an invoice showing the tires were sold to me or when, but I kept my texts to show time stamps. Worst business ever and they re just scamming people out of money. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE OR GET ANY SORT OF SERVICE.

I called about a tire for my car. A used tire for my car just cost me 45 dollars from a different tire shop. This gentleman at south grand tires answers the phone very unprofessional. I was told by him, hold on wait I don t know you. Your number is post on the website. At the end of the conversation he gave me a price of 90 dollars that would include coming to my place of residence to do the job. So basically I was going to be charge $45 for a tire and $45 for the mobile service they offer and I am not to far from the place of business. If you are going to charge 45 dollars to come out to do a job that is something that should be posted

Great job. Arthur came right out and for being on call, especially on the weekend, price want too bad. He is a mobile mechanic and will come to you. Very friendly guy! I now have his number saved in my phone for the next car emergency in Springfield.

Arthur is the man! Live 40 mins from springfield i called last minute on a sunday . Arthur came to the mall and swapped out 4 brand new tires while me.and my boys shopped . What more could you ask for.we will be doing buisness with him agian . Comunication and service top notch.

I called this business on a Sunday morning and he showed up within a half hour. He looked at the problem assessed what needed to be done. He told me how long it would take and he finished earlier than he had told me at the beginning. He removed my tire repaired it and had back on my car. I should also mention that he came to my house to do the repairs. This young man was professional, polite, and his price for doing the work was great. My husband and I were traveling back home to Texas. We weren't able to get service from Walmart, Discount tire or Firestone on a Saturday evening. I found Arthur's mobile Tire and Repair on Google. I read nothing but good reviews and decided to give him a call. He was able to help us out. We're so grateful for people like him. He was professional and very respectful. I got stuck in Springfield on a road trip from Arkansas to Chicago late on a Saturday, and nobody had the right tire for my car. We had a major car breakdown on a Saturday night, and as anyone can imagine, getting a mechanic to take a look at a car at that time is almost impossible. The owner is a total saint - he helped us out, walked us through what was going on with the car, and took time out of his evening to diagnose it. He also was very communicative and called us with updates regarding the repair process so we knew exactly what was going on and if he found anything else going on. The repair was a large project, but he had us on the road late the next day. My partner and I are incredibly thankful he took the time to help us. Absolutely recommend! Had a bad blowout late in the evening and called to inquire about a replacement tire. Arthur met me at his garage and had my old tire off the rim and the new one mounted and put back on my car in about 15 minutes.

STAY AWAY! This business stole my new car parts and replaced them with used junk! The work was never performed, I had to get my car back, and only to find out my new car parts had been stolen and swapped for junk then put back in the packaging. A police report was filed and I hope I get my day in court with them! Do yourself a favor and find a different place. You have been warned! A $300 dollar alternator was stolen and replaced in the box with an alternator that doesn't even go to my car!Service: Electrical repair

UNRELIABLE- we got a flat tire and needed help with a replacement tire. He asked for the tire size and said he would look for it and call us back, which never happened. Because we would drive by anyway, we called again 1,5h later, he asked the same question and said he would be in the store in 30 minutes, but he never showed up.

Open on Sunday!!! Thank you Arthur and mechanic Allen! We broke down on a Sunday morning after traveling almost 200K from Utah, we were moving to Ohio.........Arthur is the only Mechanic open in the entire Capital City of Springfield Illinois We has a melted fuel pump. Master Mechanic Allen was able to make the replacement as we were working under Arthur's shade tree. A little sketchy since I was granted permission to drive his Durango to O'Reillys and autozone to buy my own parts.........but I was desperate.......and it all worked out in the end. Keep up the good work Arthur!!!!
