Services were fine until we moved. Now, we can t get recycling picked up. We call week after week, they claim they ll send a truck for the missed pick up and then they don t show up. They ve said they re escalating it to management and still, we hear nothing back and the trucks never arrive. This last call, whoever we spoke to said it s probably because there s only two other people in our area who get recycling pick up. Who cares?! We pay you because your services include recycling, so how about doing the second half of your job? This has been going on for THREE MONTHS and there has been no change. It s absolutely ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company. They re not worth a fraction of what they charge.

I have to call constantly for pick up. They changed out pickup day from Thursday to Friday. I called for pickup no one came . It's now Saturday and our cans are full. We have back door pickup. Why is this constantly happening? The drivers have been nice. Why can't your company get this straightened out? Your people on the phone constantly apologize. This should not be happening every week. I pay for pickup please correct this problem.

I waited for our guy on our route and cleared up the non-pickup at the address. So far so good, he placed stickers on my cans, picked up the day we spoke and continued with regular pickup after. I will update this review as soon as I see the next bill and it aligns with service rendered.

Since WM is no longer picking up anymore in our town, since February 1st I have called numerous times for them to come and pick up our trash. It got so bad that we didn t have anywhere to put our trash besides in back of my truck and have to take it to trash place to dump it. I finally gave up on calling them when they said we will be out tomorrow. They even told me the driver said he had picked up our trash. I said we have pictures with date and time stamp that will prove he didn t and he is a liar just like your company is. So I finally loaded up their trash bin with my trash in it in my truck took it out to the local office to find out the local staff is all working from home, and dumped it on their doorstep to let them know how it is to have trash setting out on their property for a changed. I called the numbers on the door since they are all working from, which no one answered to tell them I want my service cancel and if they try and charge me for their service, I will see them in court. They called me back and asked me why, I said because your company is by far worst in town for service, next to Pool Center, and asked them how can you manage a company or your employees if you are working from home? Let s just say they never apologized or say sorry or anything. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! Other companies in town that treat their customers like how they want to be treated!!

We just recently got new service by Republic. My trash can is on wheels and was expensive. The guy comes to the back of our duplex to pickup our garbage we are all senior citizens. Because the previous Waste Management would use my can on wheels to throw everyone else s garbage can since mine is on wheels, I got magets in mine which I always kept it clean. So, I secured my can to my fence using zip ties and hung a sign on my can:PLEASE LEAVE CAN HERE. THANK YOU. Our first day with Republic, and the kid rips the zip ties off the fence, takes the can and returns it with the sign ripped off too. How rude! Plus, that is destruction of personal property. I m going to attach the can to the fence again with heavy duty zip ties and put another sign out. If the kid rips it off again, I m calling and reporting him.Why don t they take their own can with wheels that they have on their truck, wheel it to the back and get people s trash? That way, they re only making one trip. I keep my trash can clean and neat. Always considerate of the trash people. Why do they feel the need to destruct my personal property?Angry at 3303-3305 So. Well if they decide to pickup your recycling after bad weather your lucky...it's been 3 weeks since my recycling has been picked up. Called 3 times to report it but still no pickup. Gal told me you're on the schedule, lol what a joke! I understand part of this is the weather plus a water main break but nothing was in the way of their pickup of recycling. So still waiting...going on week 4 soon...lol

I wouldn't give them no stars if I could. Prime example of a ghetto company and people getting hoodwinked right before their eyes. I signed up for WASTE MANAGEMENT not REPUBLIC. My trash was scheduled for pickup today & they were so petty they left a small box sitting out there. Normally when I have boxes that don't fit in the trash can WASTE MANAGEMENT will pick those up with no problem. I called REPUBLIC and they told me to call habitat to pick up the box . Appalled is an understatement. They also are supposed to pick up yard waste in my area & it took them 4 wks to do so & I had to call numerous times. Then when they did theu left a huge branch out there that did not fit in a yard waste bag. REPUBLIC is a rip off. Do not go with republic for trash pick up. You'll be sorry.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We loved WM, but ever since it switched to Republic, our trash has not been picked up. It will sit outside on the curb for days and when we call nothing is done about it. We finally called and they said they could give us credit instead of a refund. We are demanding a refund and switching to another trash service. Republic is TRASH, no pun intended.

What a joke of a company! They took over for wm in February right after we paid wm for 3 months. Then for 2 weeks of trying to get them to pick up our cans and they kept saying they will pick them up but never did. So we canceled service and asked for refund and someone said it would be mailed out. Then 2 weeks later no refund so called today and they said no refund is owed and to call waste management for refund .stay away from this joke of a business

Have had excellent service with republic. Can pay bill online quarterly and they also do text updates on delays on pick up. If I've ever had issue, customer service always answer their phone and have dealt with any issues and pick up trash weekly. You have option to have trash picked up one or twice a week.

I am considering getting a different garbage/recycling service. Every since the change over my recycling have not been picked up. Called 4 times and it's frustrating. They say they will fix the problem but nothing happens. It's been 6 weeks now and my recycling is still on the curb

Sketchy company. One of the customers that wasn't notified from the waste management takeover. Been problems since day one. Trash left in can recycles not picked up. Once you fine folks at republic decide to wake up and do your job you can come get these cans. Your fired

I wouldn't post this review but I was just blindsided by this outfit. I lost my grandma a few months ago and have been dealing with family matters. I woke up to pull my cans back to the curb only to realize they were taken. I never got a call or letter in the mail but I just spent almost 30 minutes on the line with someone waiting to be told they no longer service our area. despicable actions from a good provider. I expected better considering I usually got top-notch service.

Signed up for services, no trash cans delivered. Called about the trash cans not being delivered because they sent a bill for trash they didn't pick up. So they refunded that amount and told me that while I wait for the cans to arrive that we can just put the trash out on the curb and they will pick it up. I did that. They didn't collect it. 3 weeks now they haven't collected my garbage. Every time I call the wait time is long to speak to someone. I just moved into this house and I'm sure the neighbors are talking about the garbage piling up at my house.Update... emailed republic, as was described to do on my first review here. They email me back to call them.Call again. Waited at least 30 minutes on hold before I could talk to someone. This person stated that the trash cans are back ordered and this is why we don't have any trash cans. Still she made a note for the garbage to be picked up by hand... Thursday one of my neighbors contacted me to see if I wanted to put my garbage in her can. Put what would fit. Friday morning rolls around and they would have not picked up the rest of the garbage if I hadn't ran out of the house (barefoot) to stop the truck before it passed by...Update- the garbage person was super nice when I ran out to make sure they collected the garbage, and later that day he brought by my trash cans. Haven't had an issue with the service since then, they have been great.

We had lots of issues with our trash pick up. Got to the point where I wouldn t even move my can from the curb because the driver would claim it was never out. Then I woke up to my can gone. No letters, no notice, nothing. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I do not recommend this company at all. They make excuses and never communicate with the customer. It s always our fault on why our garbage was never picked up.

This has to be hands down, the worst garbage disposal service ever.........they don't want or have to get your garbage if they don't want to. And then they will charge you extra money. To get garbage they didn't. And if you call them to complain, you're directed to someone out of state, like Texas.

I contracted with Flowers just before the buyout and was told this was the last Flowers service as they had been bought out. As usual they delivered promptly. With my project now over, I called for removal and that s where it all went wrong. I called the Flowers number for pick up only to get a recording from Republic that hangs up on you after 6 minutes. After a week of trying I finally called Republic directly. The person informed me there would be a $235 pick up fee. Flowers never charged that. They said there is no record of me being a Flowers customer and I have a Republic roll off. The picture attached proves them wrong. The complete lack of customer attention from an automated system when calling the Flowers number is unacceptable. I was told when ordering this service that it would be my last one with Flowers as they had been acquired by Republic and starting the next week they would be part of the larger company. I have no problem paying Flowers fees for this but will not be paying Republic fees as I did not contract with them. I understand growing pains but this is as poor as it gets when it comes to handling this situation.Service: Junk removal

Can t pick up yard waste on the schedule. I have to email almost every week for them to do their job. It s ridiculous they respond but why they can t just do what they re supposed to do without me having to tell them they missed my area is beyond comprehension. Over and over again- omg.

Leaving one star because I can't leave 0. It took 3 separate calls to get my cans picked up after I cancelled service. I cancelled service because my trash would routinely not get picked up on scheduled days. Save time and money and avoid these guys at all costs.

Its has been more than three weeks and they still haven't come to pick up the trash at my house and my mom house. I called them multiple times for them to come and they said they'll come but today is a no show again! come and pick up my trash!

On hold for hours trying to pay a bill and cancel services. This place is a joke. They constantly increase bill and add late fees but can't answer phone would give zero stars if possible

We switched from Republic when I called to switch my account address but found they never officially switched it, and then charged me almost $300 for a trashcan at my old address that didn t even exist. Then it took me 8 calls to get them to figure it out. We switched to another company that got bought out by republic. And then then jacked up the prices $8/month within 8 months without any notifications. Stay clear of Republic.

I would strongly recommend NOT using this horrible company. First, I just found out that Bill Gates owns over 1/3 of this company and I have no intent on supporting a communist globalist agenda.Next, they are thieves. They have been buying out every small trash company they can sink their teeth into; they are trying put all of the local small guys out of business.My trash company, before they sold out to Republic, had been wonderful. I owed them $90.00 in an agreement I had with them but, I never got a chance to pay them because just overnight they sold out and were gone. Then, Republic came along demanding I pay them the $90.00 which, they never earned and never rendered any services for. I have argued with them from day 1, telling them I'm not paying them a penny for services they never provided. The customer services representatives I spoke with about it repeatedly told me they would remove the charge from my account. Apparently, they just lied to me though, because they just canceled my services over the $90.00 they are trying to steal.I told them I will NEVER pay them that money because they NEVER earned it. I was already thinking about canceling them and, then after this combined with the fact I just found out Bill Gates is a huge owner of the company, I would NEVER do business with them.Be advised; I suggest everyone cancel their accounts with Republic Services because otherwise you're fueling the globalists who are trying to destroy us.Service: House & garage cleanouts

Customer service people on the phone are very nice and try to be as helpful as they can. However I ve been having some problems with these guys picking my trash up. They have picked up my trash 1 time since I got service almost a month ago. My recycling bin and trash bin has both been full and out by the street for weeks now. I have not brought them back up to the house I have made several calls letting them know it s out by the street and they have skipped me. I got a message saying it wasn t out by the street when I have a camera showing it s been out there for weeks now. They are lying or going to the wrong location which doesn t seem right. I like how nice these people are but I think I will have to change my service soon. I don t want to but I m getting very tired of making calls everydayService: House & garage cleanouts

Our rates increased 214% since we started the service in 2016. Rates increased 74% since March 2020 and 18% since December 2021. Bill for 3 months is currently $481.02 for 1x per week household container and 2x per month recycle pickup. Called to cancel today as we've already chosen a local company with substantially lower prices. We'll sort and take our own recycling to drop off each week. Republic said we should have talked to them first because they will price match. Too late. They should have competitive prices without asking. To top it off, they said they'll send us a bill to have their carts picked up in two weeks. We told them we can drop them off but they said they aren't currently open to the public. Told them they better not send us a bill. Service: Trash removal & disposal

Have had a commercial Republic Dumpster for 10 years. My rates go up all the time. I'm currently paying $220/mo for a 2 yard dumpster picked up every other week and 2 recycling bins also picked up every other week. In August I called Lake Park Recycling just to check their rates. they will provide same size dumpster with weekly pick for $65/mo. Recycling is brought to them. I emailed Republic to cancel twice in August. Got busy, never heard back from them. Kept paying their ridiculous price. From the beginning of December until today I have called them approximately 9 times asking for my service to be cancelled end of December. they will not cancel my service or call me back. they keep billing me and refuse to remove their dumpster. Lake Park will not start service until republic's dumpster is gone. They are essentially holding me hostage to their $220/mo or they will ruin my credit. They show I now owe close to $500 for January and February(rates went up again). I am so furious I do not even know what to do. I have filed complaints with the attorney general's office and with the BBB. I called the police to see if they could help me get the dumpster off my property but they can't help. I guess my next step is to contact the state's attorney. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! It is a total nightmare. I've paid $750 extra since I first started trying to cancel my service with them. I am also getting harassing phone calls and emails from them to pay their bills but no calls about cancelling my service.

Had this service 4 years ago quit them because every other week they missed my pickup went to waste management had no problem now they have been bought out by republic service and second week into there service I get no service have to wait till next week this place is a complete joke!!!!

After recently dealing with the a dominate waste competitor out there, I appreciate the service and customer care that Republic Services provide - especially their local rep. Jeff H. They are reliable and actually have knowledgeable people on the other side of the phone line! I understand that this is also a large company with many locations but they do their job. I fear that one day we will find out that the largest waste company has bought out everyone else - leaving us with with below average service & forced to pay what they set etc.Service: Construction debris removal

Getting republic in place of waste management is absolutely awful. I have only had them for about 3 weeks and each and every week I have to fight to get my trash picked up.
