My children and I were visiting Springfield, IL and our alternator failed rendering our van useless. From arranging a tow promptly, moving the shop schedule around to accommodate us, providing a courtesy ride to an area restaurant/store to keep my kids and I busy, and replacing our alternator within hours, Steve went above and beyond to get us back on the road. We appreciate everything that Jack Stoldt Auto Service Center did for us today; we cannot recommend them enough! If you live in or are visiting Springfield, IL and are in need of routine maintenance or a repair, you will definitely be in great hands with Jack Stoldt Auto Service Center. I have a lot of respect for these guys! They have done a few little odd job's for me and it's always been fast and reasonably priced! Jack Stoldt treated me with so much respect in my time of need. My husband is gone all week and I was left to deal with a bad situation as we are currently a one car vehicle and that vehicle was broke down. They communicated with me every step of the way which was so helpful. Thank you for making a normally anxiety producing situation very comfortable. 5 stars and I am definitely going to be a returning customer and will recommend to anyone.

Great people! Great Service!! We broke down out of state & these folks saved the day with professional service and fair pricing when we were totally at their mercy! The people of Springfield, Illinois are fortunate to have such a great auto mechanic in their town! We would give them a higher review than 5 stars!!! I purchased a remote starter for my vehicle. I was able to get in right away and it was priced reasonably. The staff was courteous and professional. I will definitely be returning for any future auto related needs I have. Highly recommended!

New in town when a wheel bearing went out on my SUV, I visited Jack Stoldt's based on Google reviews. SO GLAD I DID! Steve evaluated my car quickly and kept me updated all along the process. He quoted me a reasonable price, completed the repair and changed my oil (at my request) in less than 6 hours. Additionally, checked on another issue, which only required a quick reconnection of a windshield washer line--which he COULD have recommended a more expensive replacement of--but he is obviously way too honest and ethical to do so. ALSO, this shop is immaculate--clearly they all take a lot of pride in their profession. I will definitely return when the need arises.Service: Oil change

We came up for the Brantley concert. The next day when we were getting ready to leave we had no brakes! We called Jack Stoldt s auto service. They quickly got us in and a break line repaired. They all were so kind. They were honest, quick, and empathetic to our needs. I highly recommend!

I went to get my brakes fixed and cost me over $300 and the brake light was on a month later. They have waisted my time and money and had I will not be going back. I recommend everyone else to do the sameService: BrakesService: Brakes

Under no circumstances should anybody ever take their vehicle to this place, You will not have the same wheels and tires on the vehicle when you get back if you do.my vehicle was sent there for diagnostics amd long story short, my vehicle geta totaled and before the insurqnce company oicks it up , the original wheels qnd tirea were takennoff by someone there and replqced with cheqp ahitHorrible experience horrible customer service that's all I have to say

I would recommend Jack Stoldts to anyone needing auto service done properly and quickly. I have had all my family's vehicles in for service over the last 10+ years and and always get quick, accurate diagnostics with almost all our repairs same day. They also provide courtesy driver for pickup and delivery which is greatly appreciated. I do most maintenance and light mechanical repair on our vehicles, but when work requires more than my ability or tool set, Stoldt's is very reasonably priced for their excellent knowledge, experience, and speed of repairs as well as friendly customer service. thanks Steve and crew!

Their prices may be higher, but that's because the quality of their work is unbeatable. These technicians know what they're doing and have been working on our family vehicles for more than twenty years. I would not trust our cars and trucks with any other shop, especially now that our son is driving. I have to know that his car is safe and reliable, and I do have that assurance when Jack Stoldt inpects and works on it.

My son had some trouble with his car--it wouldn't start. He took it here and asked them to diagnose it. Without alerting him of any potential charges to him, they discovered the head gasket blown, and estimated possibly $1,500-$1,600 in repairs to get it going again. That is fine, but they charged him nearly $140 to do this. If he had known it would cost that much to estimate, he would not have had them do it. When asked for any discount on this fee, they held firm. As has been seen elsewhere, it seems their prices are high. They might do good work, but honest communication is necessary, too.

Y'all really do need to work on your communication skills I called and asked how much it would be to get my car looked at y'all told me $40 but then when you called me you said it'd be over $90 or $100 with the extra cost of the work getting done with it too to diagnose it like I don't get it what's the $40 for that y'all said it would cost to look at my car but then you added like an extra $50 to it or whatever for an hour diagnosis I don't know whatever anyway y'all need to work on your communication but so far the work has been great I haven't had any issues will definitely keep coming here and may change my review to a better one as long as things keep going well!

I had an ignition problem with my truck and they are notoriously hard to diagnose. My truck spent 4 separate days there getting scanned, with them trying to replicate the problem throughout the day. My bill for all that work was extremely reasonable. My experience was positive enough to convince me that this will be my garage from this point forward.
