Green Toyota is absolutely horrible for service and green for life warranty. Will not honor oil changes done by owner with records and parts purchased from them. Kept my vehicle for several months for sunroof shade replacement and damaged interior ceiling left grey ceiling with grease spots and hand prints all over the ceiling. Then they busted my winshield and said it was already broken. They had to replace that because I had pictures of when I dropped it off. The GM finally got involved and replaced the ceiling. However they did not put sunroof back correctly as recently we we had a rain storm and the roof leaked and poured in while driving. Used drop-off and next day service a 1 yr old battery was completely dead. Purchased from WM in Jan 2023. Prior to taking to Green vehicle started everyday no low voltage at all. Went out of town for week and half car started right up no problem. But one Day at Green Toyota battery completely dead. Tried to jump for 30 min with other veicle at dealership. They waited a week to tell me they not doing work because I didn't sign the folder. They did attempt to call me but left messages with my son who has same name and lives at same address but different area code. Right now I'm at Walmart getting battery charged or replaced. Best part is they won't honor Green for life warranty if you perform your own oil changes. This goes against the Magnusen Moss Act. That states consumers can perform thier own oil changes. I even purcased my oil filters from Green and each time had them add it to my account for reference. When inpurchased the vehicle the service manager informed me that if i keep records of when i did my oil changes and only used VW filters that would not void my warranty. Theyndid change up until i needed to envoke my warranty after it sat on thier lot fornover 4montsh. After a month they finally gave me a vehicle tondrive. But i had to come bace several time for the same roof issue. I found out that they will approve and have approved warranty service work for some customers thenperform thier own oil changes. The mechanic informed me it was warranty work on vehicles he itself worked on. That absolutely was disturbing to know it was for select customers. The service Manager is absolutely horrible they need to get rid of him. I have communicated with old employees that currently work with me at my current place of employment. This is how I have to get my car off the lot at GREEN TOYOTA IN SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS. I will be posting later my correspondence to and from the warranty company and thier denials of my warranty claims on this site for others to see how Green Toyota handles their warranty service. They want you to bring your vehicle to them specifically for all work or they void your warranty. Also if you track your receipts and frequency of oil changes in Excell, tat is not considered proper documentation and recording of mileage.

I called with a question about a headlight on my Toyota. The woman who answered refused to provide any information and said I had to pay $130 for a diagnostic fee.I then called Crown Toyota in Decatur, and they connected me to one of their car mechanics who answered my question, provided an estimated cost + labor, and didn't force a $130 diagnostic fee.Why would anybody come here if this is how a customer is treated?

I had given Green Toyota five stars based on my buying experience and my first couple of service visits. There were a few frustrating visits after but they have stepped up. They're beginning to earn my trust again which I am very happy about. I hope soon to be able to go back to five starsUpdate December 2021. Took car in to get flat repaired. Was told it was not repairable and a new tire would have to be ordered. Said that was fine. I've got the tire road hazard warranty that I purchased through the dealership. At that point they told me I had no warranties on the vehicle that all my warranties had been canceled. After 2 hours on the phone with the warranty company it was established that the dealership inadvertently canceled my warranties and that they would reinstate them. They refused to give me anything in writing for peace of mind. Said they could give me new copies of the reinstated warranty paperwork once it processed. So basically I have to take their word that they'll do what they say. Here's an example of how trustworthy they are. They say they did it but in reality they didn't.
