I want to express my gratitude for the assistance I received at the Springfield, Illinois store this week. I was looking for an unusual battery terminal clamp for a 2012 Lexus CT200h. This is a JIS battery and are difficult to find around here. The small pencil post on the negative terminal of my bad battery broke off while attempting to remove the cable due to heavy corrosion. I finally found a battery, but no one had a replacement clamp. I called the Lexus dealer and they told me only two were available in the whole Country - and they wanted $45 for it!I stopped by Continental Battery in Springfield and spoke with Spenser, who offered to fabricate a clamp for this battery. He made a great clamp in a couple hours that was a far better quality than the factory clamp and fit great on the battery for NO CHARGE. I am now back in business with my car!It is awesome to find employees like Spenser, that go above and beyond their typical duties and are very rare to come across in today's world. His service was greatly appreciated and that's one of the reasons I have supported this business for nearly 30 years!! Thank you Spenser and all of the staff in the Springfield store!

Why go anywhere else! They tested the old battery, removed it, and installed the new one for about $100 dollars cheaper than auto parts stores want, and I would need to do the work myself. Then, run back to town for a core charge refund. My family has been with them for years and still great service.

Absolutely amazing place to get a battery. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. They took care of me and was helped with barely any wait at all. The price and service is excellent. If you want a great price and good service visit this place. They are by far the best. No doubt I will suggest this place to friends and coworkers. Thanks again guys!

Long story short, got stranded on the way from Michigan to New Mexico on the way back from leave. With limited options (road side wrenching being the alternative) they were more than willing to get me in and change the alternator for me. Friendly service, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!!

I've been going to this place since I was a kid going with my Dad. My family has bought countless batteries from here and only one time, that I can remember, did a battery not last the entire time, and they honored the warranty without question, as a matter of fact, they apologized for the battery not lasting the full 5 years. This is a family organization that is a staple of Springfield, and will continue to be because of their excellent service and knowledge. Don't be swayed by the building or the location, you won't be disappointed.

Cold weather drained my battery! Went to start my 2011 Camry and it was dead. Jumped it and drove straight to Springfield Battery. They were pretty busy, but I was there less than 30 minutes. $92 with Two year warranty. Warranty is on the battery so i dont have to keep papers. I highly recommend.

The guys here are awesome !!! They helped me get my plates on just being great guys and also put my bulbs in for turn signals and such for nothing anytime I need a battery alternator or starter I definitely go here as well as my friends they take Care of ya and go the extra mile !!!!

Less than one star. Long story short, they didn't fix my car and I paid them $195 for a starter (which was fixed) but next day, car stalls in mid traffic and battery light is on, $45 tow, they check it out and say everything looks good, they don't know why it stalled. Next day, stalls again, battery light again, I call and ask what it could be and they reply, " probably your alternator"...OK, well 24 hours ago you said my alternator was fine??? Now, $50 tow, back into SB and they look at it and say, its the "alternator brushes". So, $75, alternator brushes fixed-OR NOT! Two days later, mid traffic again, car stalls. This time, I get it into Firestone, who is usually who I go to and trust with my vehicle, and they let me know that it was my alternator and not only that, the supposed work that was done to my alternator brushes, didn't happen!! The bolts that would have had to been touched to get to the brushes clearly hadn't been loosened. So, I paid $75 for them to do nothing and paid for two tows that to me, they should have paid for because they didn't fix my car correctly. VERY UNHAPPY!

They do not honor their warranty's and are INCREDIBLY rud . I had my battery for 4 months and twice I had problems with it completely dieing for no reason then when it got cold out it quit working altogether so when I went to take it back they told me that it voids the warranty if the battery freezes. I have never heard of this because that s why I paid extra for a 10 year warranty, I am not taking my car battery out after every use are you freaking kidding? Also, EVERYONE I know has batteries that work just fine despite the weather so they just must have a shoddy product

I've come here for many years. They are always a great place. Fair on prices and friendly. Everything from car to motorcycle batteries have been taken to them by me.

If you have any kind of electrical issue with your auto, this is the place to start. Have done business with them for years, batteries, alternators, cables, weird electrical problems and they have always been able to come up with a solution that didn't drain my bank account.

Nate was awesome. I ended up having a bad cell in my battery and Nate got me a rebuilt battery and back on the road, for our family trip. Thank you lots Nate.
