My car needed to have its exhaust checked out because it was very loud when I started it and the muffler appeared to be quite worn. This was necessary because of a warranty through Silverrock. The muffler looks great and doesn't need any work, according to a call I receive the following day. I then took the car to my go-to repair shop, and they just called to let me know that the muffler is bent up into my heat shield, which is what's causing the loud startup, loud acceleration, and mpg drop. My shop claimed they didn't understand how Carx could have missed the problem during their inspection, yet here we are. Pictures of what Carx claimed to be perfect are provided below. BEAU flatly lied to my face and claimed the muffler made a normal noise upon startup, so AVOID GOING THERE AND DO NOT TRUST HIM.

We took our vehicle to have repairs done and one of their workers over tightened the water pump/thermostat bolts and put silicone to try to hide that they messed it up and refused to correct their mistakes the worker name Jason got out of hand and kicked us off the property and refused service to fix what they broke. Id rate it 0 stars still no call back or answer on how they will fix the vehicle they broke

Update: It took 12 days for corporate to refund a biling error. It was refunded. The actual service at this location is good so now that i am made whole, i will update the rate from 1 star (corporate refund) to 5 star for quickly replacing a spare tire. ****Was charged $220.99 for service that was not done on vehicle, it was only supposed to be quoted for: differential service and fluid on October 11, 2022. It was supposed to be refunded. It is Oct 19, 2023 and is still not refunded. Was told corporate handles refunds. The shop replaced a spare tire (good service). The extra charge for service not performed (bad service).

Had a check engine light on. Was having issues with my exhaust for a while. Jason was able to finally get the pipe welded together. Overall good experience.

I had my girlfriend take my car for an oil change. They tried to charge her over 100 dollars. Called another carx in town and they said it should be $40. If you are a woman, STAY AWAY from this place.

Very poor service. I scheduled an appointment, waited all day to come. Walk in at the time of my appointment for the guy to tell me Sorry we actually don t have enough people here to do the service. It s just me. - I say Then how was I able to book an appointment? - Reply That s just a corporate feature we actually don t have control over the appointments. What kind of ridiculous situation is this? If you can t honor the appointment then DON T allow the website to schedule them at your location. Seriously annoyed that this was not transparent. The guy was nice but this is not acceptable. Have to cancel my trip for tomorrow now. Thanks.

Made an appointment to have front end alignment done at 1pm on Feb 3. Called on day of appt (1 hour before) to confirm before coming in and was told alignment rack not working.

We called the day before our service and scheduled an appointment. The gentleman we spoke to was extremely kind and walked us through the process. When we arrived to the scheduled appointments the men inside were so nice and friendly. They had us in an out quicker than we expected. Really phenomenal service. Scheduled my appointment with Bo! They got me in and out quickly. They didn t leave greasy fingerprints all over my door panel. Advised me of some upcoming mainland and the cost. Car X has always been great. FYI They have new management now. As soon as i called, Bo (the current management) got me in for oil change and new wipers right then. So convenient! He made it clear to me what service i was receiving and the cost i would be paying before i paid. I may've paid a couple dollars extra compared to Wal-Mart but so worth it. In exchange for trust, convenience, a healthy vehicle & still affordable! The only downside is no more TV in the waiting room & my daughter is "driving" me nuts! No pun intended! &&& they dnt have a changing table. But we made do...

Horrible place, completely unprofessional! Please do not believe the hype as they DO NOT live up to the expectations!!!First off I took my car here for a diagnostic check on something they were unable to service which was NEVER explained before having my vehicle brought in!!! Then after receiving my keys back they had my vehicle towed after lying saying they attempted to reach me! LIARS never once called me after I got my keys. I will NEVER ever take my car back nor recommend them to anyone!!!

First I want to say Jason was awesome. Super polite & helpful. However, I am a personal shopper through instacart & am a gold card member and was supposed to receive a discount through Caradvise which the "manager" Bo refused my discount whch is breaking their contract with caradvise & wanted to charge me $60 for an oil change. They removed the tires to do the oil change? But didn't rotate them? They also forgot to replace my oil service sticker. I did get $15 off because they asked my husband to give them a 5 star review for $5.00 & there is a $10 off coupon on the Car X website so definitely use that because they are very expensive. My husband said he will just change his own oil next time. They also didn't top off ay fluids and did something weird to our brakes.Service: Oil change

This place came through in a big way! My niece and I were on a Route 66 road trip when we had a flat. They didn t have the tire we needed, so they called around, found one at another company, had it delivered, changed the tire, and had us on our way in about an hour! Poor communication, and my vehicle was broken into and everything of any value was stolen. The staff said and done nothing to make it right, not even a sorry. I'd highly recommend not going to the Jefferson location as it's in a bad area of Springfield. The owner should really have a gated fence and security cameras around the business to ensure that costumers don't go through what I did. I will not be taking my vehicle there again.

On our way home to Oklahoma from Chicago we picked up a screw in our tire. We were so glad to find CarX and they were quick to get us fixed up and back on the road. Our tire was patched quickly and permanently! They were super friendly, too!

First time using there service on 11th street, wonderful service, everyone was pleasant and answered all your question professionally as possible, the most amazing thing I am grateful for was their honesty and truthfully about the problem with my car, it is very hard to come by that lately, so my first time was very well appreciated. I always come here for any needs! Even as simple as air in my tires! They have always done it free! Which is amazing! They have been nothing but kind to me! They are definitely all about there customers! You know mom and pop shops you go there because you get family friendly service! Had some warped rotors replaced, and brakes replaced. Friendly, no nonsense, sincere attitudes is what I experienced from a general manager and one other employee.I will definitely be coming back here when needed. Trusting atmosphere, I talked to Samuel the general manager, explained to me how he worked his way up from the bottom. Excellent first time impression for me!!! Great job CarX!!!! Plus easy access to parking lot, good location for Springfield

First time I used Car X on Jefferson, I had a great experience. Chuck was great and was in an out, even though they were busy.Second time I used car x...completely different company. I called this past Friday to see if I could have an oil change appointment for the following Tuesday. Whomever I talked to says it would be no problem. I asked if I could drop my keys off, since I have to work at 6 am and would pick my car up after 2 pm when I got off work. The person I spoke to said that would be no problem. Just leave your name and number with the keys. I then asked my car would be done when I got off work, and I was told it would. So, I dropped keys off and went to work. Fast forward 8 hours later, I arrive to get my car and am told that they haven t even started it yet. I informed the guy at the desk that I called the part Friday to have it scheduled for Tuesday and was told it would be done when I got off work. The guys response was well no one schedule an appointment for it . That s all he said...no apology...nothing. This place has changed drastically since chuck left. Needless to say, I won t be using car x services any longer.

I stopped at this auto shop on the way to work one day to get a plug in my tire. Never heard of the business name before so i didn't know what to expect really. When I entered I was greeted by a guy named Sam, he was truly a pleasure to do business with. Since I was treated so well, I asked him for a quote on four cooper stt pro tires. All it took was two days, and my tires were mounted and look fantastic. I told Sam that I had such a great experience that I am going to tell all my friends, family, and co workers about how great the customer service, how quick they worked, and the low prices were to me.I will definitely come back again if needed, and i will be requesting to speak with Sam!Thanks Sam and Car-X
