I always do my research and read the reviews before I decide to do business with someone. And reading the reviews here and a few other places made me feel that this shop and the mechanics would be different than others. I thought I'd be able to get my car serviced and get some honest help. However that was not the case. I wish I would have had the same experience other customers have seemed to experience. These kind of experiences are the reason it's hard to trust mechanics.

DJ has always been very car knowledgeable and he made a career out of it, not to get rich but to help the small blue collar guy. He s smart he cares and he will get the job done. Best thing about him and his business if he can t fix your car he s not going to let you dump a bunch of money into that car no matter how bad you want it to work out. He s honest so when he speaks you should trust his words!!

If I could give this place Zero stars, i would. This place and the N. Dirksen NAPA are a joke. The owner got pissed because I checked on a part at Napa. Napa commercial on Dirksen choose to call the garage and inform owner. I know, that's just wrong on their part in all ways.The owner then called me and chewed me out. Again, what a joker.Found out he had even ordered wrong part. Lol. Part was only available thru dealer.Found a more professional shop with cheaper prices.You just proved your ignorance with that response. Part was dealer only part. Napa couldn't get part.Wow, Then you call me on the phone and cussed me out this morning and then sent me a hateful text. You need a anger management classes.

These guys were great! They did excellent work, didn t try to sell me anything I didn t need, didn t try to rip me off. I had heard good things about this place so I gave them a shot. They lived up to their reputation. Hey friends!! If you are ever in need of a great mechanic, I HIGHLY recommend 11th Street Garage!!! I had to take my truck in for some work and the guys at this shop were amazing! Honest, reliable, informative, reasonably priced and don't cut corners!! From the first conversation I had with them to when I picked up my truck, they made me feel comfortable about the job they were gonna do and best of all, not one time did they treat me "less than" or try to take advantage of me because I'm a woman! You all know that stereotype exists!! Their shop is CLEAN and they took the time to clean under the hood too! I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience and I would most definitely go back for any mechanical work needed in the future!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!! I was beaming all the way home during my drive!!!!

My boyfriend left his car there for 10 days to be repaired and they were in and out to test the vehicle after the repairs were being complete and not once did they lock his vehicle. While his vehicle was there, it was ransacked, trashed and stolen from. The shop had his keys the entire time.

The guys at 11th Street are more than fair with prices and service. Took a car to get it checked out and they helped me get it to the dealership and were more than fair.Let them work on a beater truck I bought, gave it a once over, caught a couple critical things that were important and saved my 4wd. Brought it back to check for a power drain and they took care of it for a very fair price. They're my go to from now on.

The price was affordable. The only issue is that they should have had my battery on a charger during the alternator belt replacement. They had to give me a jump start before I could take the car.Edit: They think my battery is bad but I do not agree with that. The battery was just tired after several drains in a single day.

They do an awesome job working on my truck. They have fixed my brake booster. They have put in a new wheel bearing and ball joint on my driver side. And just two days ago they put a new alternator in my truck. If you're looking for work to be done on your vehicle this is the place to go they are friendly, nice, honest and get the job done right the first time.

I live out of town and had to have my daughters car a/c repaired and they got it done quickly at a a reasonable price! Both me and my daughter are happy thanks to the staff at 11th Street Garage!

we live over 2 hrs away and dont know any good garages in Springfield Our daughter was recommended the garage by a co worker she was having problems with unstable driving. I spoke with mechanic over the phone about my daughters car it has alot of miles on it and it older but he said the repair is easy and safe, which I so appreciate being so far away. As a female, I used to get anxiety over having to take my car to the mechanic. The guys that run 11th street though, have always been wonderful! They are honest, they work quickly, and they charge very affordable rates. My dad used to work as a mechanic so anytime I need something done on my car I always call him to verify what I m being told by the mechanics and I have always found that 11th St has recommend exactly what I need and never tried to add in any additional services. I recommend these guys, hands down! You ll be glad you ve called them!Services: Transmission, Brakes, Oil change

They have poor customer service skills and act as if they really don't want to work on cars. There was over 20 cars on their lot waiting to be serviced. They asked me to leave my car, but when I got there, no one would even talk to me, they looked me dead in the face and left me standing there. No acknowledgement of my presence at all. Then I called back later and the guy told me to take it somewhere else if it's a problem with his staff. Say less, cause that's exactly what I'll do!

I was recommended to this Mechanic by Word of Mouth. Upon brining my car to the shop after initial review, they found a issue other than the main issues I came for that needed to be fixed. I told them this was fine as long as it did not set back date for me to get car back. They had my car for over 2 weeks and each time I checked in on car there was always a new issue that he need to fix.I went to check on car today and the mechanic began to curse about how frustrated he was with the difficulty of my car. I asked him if he knew he was unable to fix my main issues, why keep my car and find other things to get paid for. I told him that from this point on I will be keeping documentation on our conversations and exchanges and will also be finding another mechanic to ensure all the work has been completed that current megabit claims to have done. The mechanic then told me he is done and I can take my car as is without payment because of my statement. The mechanic stated he does not work with people who go back and double checks his work.

My truck needed a lot of routine maintenance done. Justin and staff went above and beyond to take care of all of it and in a timely manor! I ve taken other cars here before and every time they are great! I ll keep coming back!

Great Service, dependable, and honest. needed to have my starter replaced and struts replaced as well, they had a quick turn around time and was courteous and honest from beginning to end.

I had issues with my power of steering in my car now granted my car is older it s a 2005, but I had to take my car into this place three separate times each time being the same issue, my power of steering going out and spilling out fluid. First time I paid 400$ to replace the pump ignoring the two damaged hoses, second time I take it in they just reattach loose hose saying that s the cause of the leaking they do this for free. Third time I have to pay 60$ for a new hose and am told I should had no more issues. A DAY LATER the fluid leaks out and I m having issues again I have someone I know who looks at cars come see mine, they replaced only one of the hoses completely ignoring the other damaged hose. So this is FOUR times I ve had the exact same issue with my car.

When my sister and I were visiting Springfield, my car warning system came on, so we were recommended to 11th Street Garage. They were friendly, honest, efficient and affordable!I suggest you give them a try, your regular mechanic may not be happy, but I bet you will!

Flywheel and another part bad in our van. 11th Street garage to the rescue. So knowledgeable and very professional. Our mechanic recommended them. Can't get better than that!

Justin treated me like a friend. He tried to remedy the problem the least expensive way first. The service was fast and friendly. I will return for all of my car care needs.
