if I could leave 10 stars for Honest 1 service center I would. My F150 with almost 170,000 miles started giving me problems on a Friday, days before I needed it for a trip with a ski boat in tow. I had a carrier bearing on my driveshaft fail, rear seal on my rear end leaking, along with brakes needing work. I was told it would likely be Tuesday before the job would be completed, but the staff at Honest 1 went out of their way, and had it done on Saturday!What the guys do not know is that I have had an issue from day of owning this vehicle of a shutter at taking off from a dead stop. Ford could never solve this problem, and after 170,000 miles I finally have a truck that I no longer have this issue going on! Brand new complete rear drive shaft solved this issue. This was an issue from day one of delivery, and I m so happy to have a truck that drives better than new now! I also have a piece of mind knowing that I have a 36 month 36,000 mile nationwide warranty no matter where I go I m covered on repairs done to my truck! Thank you, thank you!

I highly recommend H1 for your pre-purchase inspection!They performed a thorough review of the car, and provided a comprehensive digital report with images to document each point of the inspection. In my case they found a significant defect, and provided estimates for the repair which I was able to use at the dealership for negotiating.The staff was courteous, professional, and patient in answering all of my annoying questions. Excellent and knowledgeable service advisors, and the mechanics do great work. I love the multipoint breakdown sent digitally with pictures of exactly what they see. And the cookies waiting for you in the car make the kids happy.

I do NOT trust Honest 1 with my car repairs. After coming home, my check engine light went off and that wasn't the problem I went in for, what I went in for was not resolved. I don't believe they were truthful with the diagnosis of what was wrong with the charges and it was way higher that expected for a easy/simple repair.I don't plan on going back. I feel like it's ones of those places that that break something else to bring you back again.

Last year they replaced my radiator, day after dumped all fluid because of a hose not properly attached, mean while those nice picture diagnosis they send you they changed the original photos and tried to blame it on my wife and recharge us...After I told them I screenshot the original diagnosis and told them they changed it than they agreed to fix it without charge!! Honest 1 is Honestly the worst mechanic I've ever dealt with street mechanics are better. Don't trust them this is only my first story UPDATES Coming!!

They completely reset my car to factory settings on the module when all they had to do was reset my oil gauge. I lost all my preferences, users, garage opener, and phone connections.

Recently took my car for Front rotors and brake pads replacement I supplied my own parts. I was was skeptical as I am real picky where I take my car, but I picked up the phone gave them a call. The person I spoke on the phone was nice and was able to get me in within 2 hrs of the call. When I finally went in everyone there is nice they tell you everything you need to know about your car service and also provide updates via email and text. The service done on my car so far so good on the drive home no issues yet whatsoever. Great honest people, friendly and fantastic fair prices. I will definitely return in the future Thank you honest-1.

I'm to buy a second vehicle soon. I got a general pre-purchase inspection done at this shop, mainly because it's right up the street from the car dealership I may end up buying from. The inspection cost was nearly double that of a few other shops that I'm familiar with outside of the area so that was a little disappointing, but the staff/technicians were knowledgeable, very friendly, professional, and they provided great customer service. Aside from their steep prices, I'd give them a thumbs up.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

HORRIBLE! I CAME IN ON A REFERRAL TO GET A FREE INSPECTION AND I WAS GETTING CHARGED $159.00 . THEN WHEN I SAID SOMETHING- THEY CHANGED IT TO $30.00. AND THEY STILL DIDNT GIVE ME A FULL INSPECTION. THEN THEY HAD TO HEAR BACK FROM ME TO PUT THE CAR PIECES BACK TOGETHER. AND WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE CAR- I HAD A GIFT CARD AND THEY ALMOST DIDNT ACCEPT IT! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. THEY ARE NOT HONEST- THEY ARE A RIP OFF! NO ONE GO THERE!

Took 2 days to do a brake pad and rotor job..Left it there because the parts and labor were under warranty definitely feels like it's a burden to explain this to a tech especially after being called back to be explained that "We'll see if we can get this done.."Other than that the job got done and well..The all around point inspection is very helpfulWe noticed that other small things that needed replacement and realized that it was pretty expensive for small job

I was ready to leave the house, hopped in the car to find out that it wouldn't start. Honest one got my car in right away , had it fixed in a few hours and I was on the road again. I will take my vehicle there again.

This is the second time I brought my vehicle there and honestly I love this place I'm new to the Elgin area and I would not bring my car anywhere else I have done several things to this Honda and every time I come here I'm amazed with the service big shout out to Josh he's really helpful and the people are really nice I was in and out and I had a lot of things done today and I recommend this place to anyone that needs a good service and a timely manner and the job done great thank you guys you do a great job

Talk about honest! Our a/c gave us trouble and of course it worked for them!! Excellent and professional experience at all levels especially Ramon. I wouldn't take our cars anywhere else. They take the Honest part seriously. Top notch!

I brought my car in, do to it overheating. Told them, I think it could be the thermostat or maybe it's a head gasket, I also inform them of other little things. The fella at front went straight into a test i should take, I asked the fella at the front desk, about the test he recommended i should get, hey sir the test you recommending i should get ran will it find out what the issue is including head gasket? He look me in the eye and told me yes. I then asked him how long would it take, he told me you get the car here today, we'll have your car ready by tomorrow. I dropped my car off that day they had my car for 3 days.I call and call then was told I'd get a text and email that I never got, till I came in and got my car.( If I'm not mistaken I received a text message & email the day after I got my car)So once I get there they told me.We didn't find any issues with your car at all no leakage fans running as they suppose the cooling is flowing good the thermostat is doing its job, we ran your car for 45 minutes and no problems it never overheated.I ask them did you all actually drive the car, It's not going to overheat sitting idle,he then tells me we run all types of tests as if it's being driving it's good to go.I then proceed to ask so it's not a head gasket problem no white smoke no mixture with the chemicals that gas the oil,Them no none of that, we highly doubt if it's a head gasket.I take my car from there shop drive it for 10 minutes to my home, right up the street from where their located.. my car go straight into overheat when i pull in my drive way. Call them back let them know the next day, then they tell me I have to take further diagnostic test for the head gasket which probably's going to run to a $1000 plus just to see if that's the problem.So I take my car to another shop, they ran the same test.. Had my car ready the next day, as they said.. They results to the test was your thermostat is not opening and closing correctly and your fans are running slow.. So I'm not sure what test Honest-1 did but it's not what they said. And the communication with them was clearly we don't care what the problem is, are you spending money with us or not..I Feel I should be reimbursed plus more for that bogus diagnose test my time and paying for rides back and forth to work plus so much more I will not say on here...

I feel very confident that my car is being serviced properly as Honest-1 is looking out for me to have a safe driving car. So glad they were able to clean my brake System so my brakes will work properly. I must commend the people I have come in contact with there. Very knowledgeable showing me pictures of where & what my problem was and friendly. I have used their service for three years now. I also appreciate their Shuttle Service to & from my home. Bad, very bad. what the monkey business for the place that i have trusted for all this time.Problem Details:I had control arms and ball joints replaced, after works were done they found another problem that they cteated and wanted to charge us more then $500 extra. car was driving real bad just enough to get to another shop for a second opinion. Sure enough, they said the technician who worked on our car with no experience used so much force and damaged drive exle which they wanted us to pay extra for it. do not take a risk going there. I think they have a new owner that hire real cheap technicians. if you go tere, good luck...Service: General repairs & maintenance

Not impressed by their diagnostic abilities. We took in our vehicle which was making this super obvious vibration when making a left turn (almost a rocking back-and-forth type of motion) and their mechanic could not replicate the issue. However, this problem is super obvious to my wife and I. Not sure how they could not replicate the issue.We did pay for a full vehicle inspection and they did find a ton of other issues with the vehicle which we did not bring in the vehicle for. Another thing that was a little weird, was that when I called in to get an update I was told that they will call me back (they didn't call back, I had to call in again to get a status update) as they are "putting my estimate together". Why is there an estimate, shouldn't it be just "total"? I just went in for a simple oil change and to fix that left turn issue (which was not fixed). To me this sounds like they wanted to stick me with other services that I did not need or ask for.We will be taking our vehicles to more competent mechanics that can properly diagnoses the problem and most importantly fix it. I wish I could go back to my old mechanic, they were a no-nonsense knowledgeable group of people with upfront pricing and their customer level was truly amazing. We recently move to the area and will keep on looking for a no-nonsense, reliable and knowledgeable mechanic.I would have rate them two stars, but they left a bag of cookies in the vehicle as a thank you and who doesn't like cookies? Just for that I will give them an extra star. Good one!

It was time to do a few of the routine maintenance items that come with a vehicle with 131+ K miles on it! They were able to run me home as it was going to be a 5+ hour appointment and pick me up. They finished earlier than promised and everything was as promised. Including the estimate. What I really like about Honest 1 is that they are very thorough and do excellent work. Their mechanics are very personal and are very detailed in explaining what needs to be done with your vehicle. Most of all they don't make excuses. Dan the service manager was super helpful and was very professional. I had two struts and a rear control arm put in and I was back on the road in less than a day! I recommend going there to anyone that needs repairs because they will not push any repairs that aren t needed at the time of service. Keep up the great work Honest-1!!!

This is a great car care shop. Since our first experience, they have been our go to service location. I cannot say enough about the level of skill and care the staff have and provide. Josh did a great job of communicating the issues and helping us to determine the most important items to take care of. We really liked the ability to see photos of the problems online as the work was being done. Josh stayed an extra 1--15 minutes late to enable us to pick up the car at the end of the day.
