Excellent service. Necessary repairs were completed successfully. The work on my car looks great, it looks like new! It was also a nice surprise to see that my car had also been vaccummed. Staff was very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Thank you!

Just went there to get a insurance company required estimate. Took care of me right away. Tino and I went out to look at the damage to my car. He was friendly and through in the inspection. Went inside ask me to have a seat and give him 20 minutes to put together a estimate. Roughly 15 minutes later Tino came back with the estimate. I've have not had any work done there, but my daughter has and very satisfied with their work.

Trashy places if you want your car fixed don't go here unless you want to wait forever. Good Customer service must not be included in the job description since everyone especially the lady at the front are rude as hell even if ur nice before the rude attitude your given. I would rather let a homeless man work on my car before coming here again!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Not a fan. They did ok work in past on envoy. Called on a suburban front bumper nothing fancy. A 250 dollar part. She wanted me to take off work, bring vehicle in for look at it. It's a body shop. How many suburban bumpers they do in their carreer that they can't come up with set price?? Give me a break. Honestly you have year, make and style off road or not etc. No good bye, have a nice day, thanks for calling just a slam of the phone. Cappooooie.

I was very happy with the repairs done to my vehicle. After the front bumper was removed, the damage proved to be much more extensive than originally thought. They kept me informed about the progress, and even paid for my rental, for the days beyond the amount insurance carrier provided. My car looks and drives like brand new. Excellent service and very polite staff. Toyota owner here. I recently had an accident that left a pretty large dent on my car. A few minutes with Andy over the phone, I had an appointment scheduled the next day. Repair duration was accurate, without any delays in service. The dent was fixed, almost close to factory spec! They also polished the car and cleaned the dashboard. God forbid I get into another accident, but if I do I know where to go!

They did an amazing repair job on my car, it looks fantastic. The staff was so friendly & kept me updated via text on the progress of the repair. And when I picked up my car it was super clean, inside & out. It looks like it just came off the show room floor. I highly recommend this place of business.

I have had to use them for repairs on 2 different cars. The work gets finished quickly. They always have done a great job restoring the car back from accident. Scheduling is not a hassle and if needed the rent a car companies are willing to pick you up and a few allow you to leave your rental there once your car is finished, if you are going through your insurance company for payment.

Do not go here if your car is actually damaged. They do nothing. #1- I had to buy a new car even thought I paid for the new parts to fix my old one. #2- they told me to get a new car because they would not cover the slight damage that my insurance fully paid for. #3- they never called back but only once to tell me to screw my car and forget about it. There might be good reviews but if you actually want help find a new place.

My car was recently involved in a collision at work. This was my first time ever dealing with a collision so I was a bit timid to go through the whole process. I decided to take my car to Gerber in in South Elgin based on their Google reviews and was so pleased with my experience. I brought my car in for an estimate on Thursday and had my car in for service Wednesday the folllowing week. From the very beginning, the manager Chuck and his team were all so friendly and helpful. Everyone in the shop greeted me when I walked in first thing in the morning (which was a big deal to me). They called Hertz for me on the day of drop off to make sure that my transportation was scheduled to bring me to my rental car. Throughout the process, I got text message updates on the progress on my vehicle repairs. My car looks fantastic and I am so happy that I chose Gerber South Elgin for my repair work. I highly recommend this shop and would definitely return for any repairs needed in the future.

Came here for body work, left with damages to the inside of my vehicle. After the manager, Joe, said he double checked everything himself. There was scratches down the tint of the window, scratches on the leather on driver side door panel, missing pieces to the door handle, found a large speaker under driver s seat, smaller speaker on drivers door was not connected and a tool with a rag was found in the trunk. After 10 days with Gerber, I had to take to another body shop to correct everything. The manager then tells me another fib as he claims he would go himself to the other shop to make sure everything would be done right, when he did not even call the shop to make them aware of all the mistakes that were made nor show up like he said. I m so disappointed for the careless treatment. Just go somewhere else!Service: Body & Trim

Unfortunately I have had more contact with Gerber than I really wanted to have, however, my experiences have been 5 stars! I was hit from behind twice in less than 6 months. The staff was very pleasant and supportive. The colormatching has been amazing! They keep you informed of their progress so you can plan ahead. They take the time required to do the job CORRECTLY the 1st time! I highly recommend the Sundown location in South Elgin.

I was side swiped by another driver who's tire heavily rubbed my rear door, quarter panel, and rear bumper. The other driver at fault and willing to make it right. I had to get estimates for the repair and got 3 quotes, couple at $1600 and one at $1100. When I went into Gerber to get another estimate, the General manager came out and suggested buffing it out and make a decision about the repair. Surprisingly the buff job he did removed the damage and scratches are not visible to me. The General manager did not charge me for the buffing he did, 3-4 minutes of his time. That's the kind of service and help you don't see everyday. So many others focus on taking your money. No doubt I will be back to have any work done to my car. Appreciate the integrity from Gerber.

My car had a minor accident and i decided to work with Gerber Collision (South Elgin). The level of services they provided me throughout the repair was outstanding, especially Charles, he is the best person to work with and I will definitely recommend this location if your car needs any kind of repairs.

This business is AWFUL. I expected some form of cleanliness when I arrived but there were rats EVERYWHERE. It was traumatizing, horrendous, I cant even put it into words. This is a note to the owner or worker: Ive been scammed not only of my car-which I had to buy a new one because it was not repaired correctly, and I have not seen a clean work surface ever. I do realize that this is a working area but I saw mice and roaches crawling by the garbage cans. NEVER GO HERE

Great place. After getting re ended not too long ago, Gerber and all the workers here went above and beyond in order to make sure I was taken care off and I was in the mix of what was going on at all time. Any changes or updates I was notified as soon as it happened and in a very friendly matter. Thank you Gerber south Elgin for making my tragic incident a very easy process!

Had windshield replacement through insurance claim, the scheduled time was changed last minute resulting in waiting all day and the being canceled and rescheduled. The service guy kept complaining about being overloaded with customers to see and I then get a call weeks later threatening collections because they never did a confirmation that it was done with the insurance in order to get paid like somehow that was my fault. Only reason I dont give one star is the windshield appears to be sufficiently installed although the trim doesn't look the same that it did.

Don't recomend this place to anyone my car was in the shop for almost one month for a minor accident. Had to return the car to them twice because the job they did was horrible. This is the first and last time I take my car In they charged 2800 to fix it and didn't get it right.

they gave me the car is not fully repaired, saying that it is not a consequence of the accident, while before the accident my car was completely intact. Instead of in the process of asking for authorization from the insurance and to complete the work, as usually done in other places, they gave me car unfinished

One of the most top rated body auto collision shop that you can have for your vehicle repairs being in an accident they are very thorough very detailed and very experienced you will not go wrong with them getting your car repair back to New almost!!
