Awesome staff, super knowledgeable on Sweedish cars.They took care of my Saab and she's running good as new. They are affordable, and super fast even though they are always full.Unbelievable service! 5 star

Petersen Automotive is the BEST! They have come through for me time after time and continue to be an honest and the most completely trustworthy shop to take my car. This is my second Saab I ve owned and they truly are the experts as you will be able to see the love they have for Saabs upon walking into the shop. Ian has spent countless hours helping me figure out various issues and concerns that I ve had regarding my cars, including my Toyota I recently had (with the sweetest patience :). They re always super willing to help in any way they can and literally go the extra mile with 100% sincerity. Tyler who owns the shop is an amazing guy as well and will give you the time you need to feel secure about what s going on with your vehicle (as will all of his other mechanics who work there, most recently thank you to Brian!). I love these guys and wouldn t think of taking my car anywhere else to be so well taken care of. 1,000,000% highly recommend! Thank you Petersen Automotive and staff for all that you do!

I went to see these guys for a transmission service and a diagnosis for a vibration. I did not mind paying for diag. They did not charge me diag fee. I m going to give 4 stars for the fact that it was a major issue for me (the vibration). That s why I drove 50 mins to see a Saab specialist. They did my trans service but really didn t investigate my vibration in any detail other than road test/visual inspection. I was expecting them to know my Saab better than a standard shop. Also my car is not perfect condition. There was no upsells or service recommendations on my car. I know of 2 issues on my car that should not have been missed from a Saab specialist.

Fantastic shop. Peterson is staffed with top notch technicians who care about the work they do. This is the only shop i've ever been to where I'm 100% confident in the work they perform on my cars and they stand behind all of their repairs. Great communication from the front of house staff as well. They don't sell you services you don't need and the work is always done on time. Peterson should be the model for how to properly run an auto repair business.

I have taken my 30-year old Saab for many years to Petersen Automotive and could not be happier with the service and care the team has provided over the years.They truly understand cars and are invested in keeping my classic Saab well maintained and running without trying to add on services that are not needed.Their work is timely and Tyler and Ian do a great job communicating and expediting any necessary repairs. They are a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive!

My car had vibration, alarms that went off on their own, and wiper chatter. Despite bringing these issues to another mechanic, I was unable to resolve them. Their response was that they couldn't do anything else. That's when I took it to a Saab specialist. Ted helped me through the entire process by answering all my questions. It's all thanks to the experts at this shop that my car runs smoothly. In addition, they installed hub-centric spacers for me. While my car was being repaired, I was able to borrow a loaner car. The overall experience at this shop was excellent.

I don't have any sort of exotic car, but I came across these guys looking for a repair shop close to my work and I'm really glad I found them! My car is old and has a list of problems. After the diagnostic, Tyler has worked with me to identify the most critical repairs and plan them in a way that works with my schedule and wallet. I'm very happy with the work they do and the prices are fair in my experience. Everyone I've met at the shop has been friendly and approachable and NOT condescending (which is unfortunately rare.) I feel like my car is in good hands with these guys.

Trust worthy, Honest, Outstanding mechanics! And really nice to boot. They ve serviced all 4 of our families vehicles for years now. Domestic and foreign. They re all in tip-top shape thanks to Petersen. These are car guys. They love what they do.

I take all three of my European cars to Peterson. Great people to deal with, quality work, rapid communication, and they ve been able to give me loaner vehicles since I don t live nearby. You shouldn t hesitate to take your car here

I've been a very satisfied customer of Peterson Automotive for several years. Finding trustworthy car care can be tricky, especially for women, but I have complete confidence in Tyler and Ian and everyone else who works there. I always know what it's going to cost before the work is done, and I know it will be done correctly and not have to be redone. The icing on the cake is a CLEAN waiting area and bathroom!!!

This place is a hidden gem with cheerful staff and manager. They did an awesome job on my van and performed services that was asked. After an initial inspection, they called me with a quote so there aren't any surprises. The prices were pretty reasonable and service was Great.

These guys are the best.... An amazing experience received getting my classic Saab 900 converted from 3 speed auto to 5 speed manual. Everything done right by a team that care. Kudos to Tyler & Bryan...

They gave me an honest diagnosis of my car and what the problem was I appreciated that they were honest with my the whole journey i had a oil leak and i didn't know where it was coming from and it took them a few days but they fixed for free!!!! And my car feels like a brand new car and recently I went back for an oil change and my car just feels like a brand new car granted it is a 2014 chevy malibu I'm so grateful to have found this shop they're upfront and honest which not a lot of mechanic shops are not for a woman so when you go here just know you can trust them

Very thorough in all aspects of the repair. From listening to the issues of my concern, letting me know what the problem could be, and fixing everything to perfection, Petersen is the best place to go for Saab care.

I took my 2005 Honda Civic. Tadd was great at explaining the problem and resolved it within the day. He even went out his way to retrieve the OEM part I had asked he use. They provided a detailed description of the repair and photos to go with it along with photos of the vehicle damages and necessary repairs. Work was done and my vehicle passed inspection. I think they re going to be my go to place for my automotive repairs. Fair pricing, honest service, and quality work. That s exactly what I was looking for over 25 years.. sad but true.

Brought in my 2008 Honda CRV when the check engine light came on (which is always a little stressful), and they quickly found the source of the problem. It didn t need any repairs done, just some codes switched off for now, and they didn t charge me at all for the labor or diagnosis. Totally unexpected and very very appreciated. Will definitely be coming back when my car inevitably has more issues!

There are very few shops capable of diagnosis and repair of the SRS system in a SAAB 9000 - fortunately, Petersen Automotive can!

Superb service, great expert repair, very reasonable prices. The mechanics at Petersen fixed my '93 Saab 900 when no one else in Chicago knew what was wrong with it.Ian and Tyler were both great: SO helpful and considerate. They even took my car to the body shop for a necessary repair and had a loaner car for me to borrow.I can't say enough great things about Petersen. These guys love Saabs and are true experts. I'll never take my car anywhere else!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Air conditioning

Consistent integrity. Rare in auto mechanics. I drive my Saab from the Southside of Chicago to Skokie because Petersen Automotive goes above and beyond to make sure that I'm safe on the road and doesn't take advantage of people. They are a nostalgic presence that reminds you that business isn't just another economic transaction.

They are fast, kind, honest and have great people skills! All 4 dudes I interacted with seemed like genuinely respectable people. Very clean lobby with phone chargers to borrow, nice books to look at and coffee to drink while you wait!

Very communicative and straightforward customer service. Inspection was very thorough. Little bit more expensive than I initially thought but that could just be me. VERY FAST turn around. Dropped it off and got it back in less than 3 business days! If you need work done on a European vehicle and you're in the Chicago NW side or NW suburbs these are your guys.Service: Steering & suspension repair
