I scheduled an emergency appointment online for 4pm. Then once I called they said they were closing out early due to Easter. I understand it s Easter but I drove out of my way to get here for a quick oil change. I would suggest to update the website and person on phone was very rude. Over all bad experience. Prefer to go to jiffy lube down the street and it s cheaper

Called in with concerns and reqired maintenance requests, got an appointment for very next day, no wait on parts. It took a couple calls to get the links I needed for payment and for the customer tracking system to catch up with what where my car was in servicing, but would I return here? Yes. Would I recommend? Yes.

I called pep boys at 3:45pm today, telling them I have a nail in my tire. They told me they can t accept any more cars. They close at 5pm. Unacceptable. I shouldn t have called, I should ve just come in. Proper business means you stop accepting cars at 5pm. NOT an hour and fifteen minutes before you close, because you re too lazy to work past 5pm. Oof, what is this world coming to..

Ordered a tire online. Got an online confirmation that the tire was available for pick up. Took off work to come and grab it. Showed up and the workers told me they don t have it. Asked for a discount or anything for my troubles and was told NO to try and call customer service. So I did and they did NOTHING. Refused any type of discount or anything else to help me out. Finally e mailed corporate . And nothing again. Pep boys this is the last time I ever do any type of business with you!!! I wish I could give 0 stars!

I was sent over by the Milwaukee location because there wasn t any Techs available; however this location showed great service and was welcomed in at the door. I set up an appointment and in no time Pepboys fixed my car. Told them I was a first timer the perks helped out a ton. Super professional Super clean. 5 stars from me. Thank you Skokie

Awesome service at the Pep Boys in Skokie on Touhy! First of all as a woman going to a shop I am always worried I will get up sold for items. This was not the case, I came in with a nail in the tire and they were able to repair it. I spoke to Omari who was amazing. I asked him for other prices on items that they take care of and boy will I be coming back to do brakes, oil changes , tires, etc! Prices are very good here and they treated me and my young son so well that I highly recommended coming to Pep Boys in Skokie to everyone! You will be happy you did ! Thank you Pep Boys !!!

Worst place to take your car to.I came to the place with four lug nuts and one damaged stud to be fixed. When I came back to pickup the car, they fixed the damaged stud and I found another damaged one and a lug nut missing, when I asked the mechanic said: "you came in with only three lug nuts and two damaged studs" which is a complete lie. Lets say (in sake of argument) I came with two damaged studs, why you didn't call me and let me know that I have two damaged ones instead of one. How I came to you with four lug nuts and a damaged stud and leave your shop with four lug nuts and damaged stud, like nothing has been fixed!!

Very nice interaction, dropped off the car before work, had an issue with an order but they resolved it, installed 4 tires and oil change. Picked up before close.Would come by again.

Took my car in for a simple oil change. Less than 24 hours after picking up my car, while driving on the highway, the cover under my car and wheel well cover (a cm away from the oil pan drain), came apart because they broke it and did not screw in any of it after the oil change. As a result, it got stuck in my wheel while driving, threatening my safety. Upon speaking with 'manager' Anthony, he was extremely condescending, rude, and disrespectful. Would not handle or take ownership of the damage that was done by his location that he is responsible for. If you value your safety and have respect for yourself, consider a different option for any sort of car service.

I've booked tire installation from this location by using official Pep Boys web site day before my appointment. I've got email with confirmation number as well.26 hours after that and 3 hours before my appointment I've got a call from Mike and he said that they are busy for next 2 days and he can't provide that service as booked. He suggested to drop my car and take an Uber ;) Sure he would not pay for that.Poor guys don't understand how much money corporate office spending to involve new customers, how much efforts spent to build brand and reputation. I don't understand why do they running web-site with an option to choose available appointment witch is not synchronized with real schedule.It took them 26 hours to call customer to cancel appointment. 3 hours before my appointment I need to start looking for another place and change a lot of plans.Pep Boys - never again.

Staff were excellant but your appointment process was a waste of time. 1:30 appointment and car not look at until 4. Was told they were over booked because the system doesn't prevent overbooking and they had a Black Friday special and everyone wanted their tires installed and made an appointment. Just scrap the meaningless appointment process.

They took me right away, they had the part in inventory, they serviced my car and finished 1 hour earlier than expected, and they were polite. What's there not to like.

OMG!! In my years of dealing with auto shops - I have never been left a review on any auto shop. But I must. Because this experience was AMAZING. Every employee was great. All had an amazing & positive attitude and it was busy. Omari (I hope I got his name right) was outstanding. Talk about world class service. I only went in for a flat tire. - which they fixed quickly - I was expecting to be there for hours. Since it was busy. But they took take of my tire so quick. I appreciate it. They will have a customer for life. I don t need new tires yet- but when I do, I know where to go. Thank you Pep Boys!!

My visit was pleasant, and they were friendly during my visit on 12/20, where they installed four brand new tires on my vehicle. I left a happy customer. So much so that they almost received a good review, but I went out to my car this morning 12/22, and my tire was flat. It measured 9psi. I'm angry and confused as to how this happened with brand new tires.

This was my first experience with Pep Boys and it was a great one! I took in my dad s car in for new tires. There I was assisted by Sharon, who was very professional and knowledgeable, she made getting the tires and services we needs a breeze. Later when we went back we had the pleasure of checking out with Omari, who is full of life and an amazing person. He really made our checkout experience wonderful and guaranteed visit back. Overall, this team was wonderful from the moment we walked in to to moment we left. I will definitely be returning for future services.

I went in to get estimates and have work done on two of my vehicles. I had been there before for tire service and they were great. Omari and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the work was done well and on time and at very reasonable prices. I plan to go back for scheduled services on both cars since they are a full service shop and conveniently located. Thank you!

The overall service was good and timely.But it took me 20 minutes to clean the dirt from my steering wheel, ignition buttons, door handles ( Inner and outer ). Please see the attached photos.I am a repeat customer at this location and each time I have to go through the same unhygienic situation in this covid scenario It look like the mechanics are not wearing gloves while handling the dirty engine components.Other then this issue, I am happy with the price , quality and speed of this location.I hope I don't have to post the pictures again. Next time if it happens. I will give 1 star.

Customer service was great and they were very professional. However I took my car in just to get a part changed and they proceeded to do a bunch of services like oil change and tire rotation that I just didn t need or ask for costing me over 400 when if they had communicated with me more should ve been half that. Also when I got my car back it was a headache to clean up the greases. Im not saying they need to clean my car but a wipe down at least wouldve helped.

I went to Pep Boys in Niles to exchange battery was under a warranty a battery for my vehicle I asked the employee if they have the battery for my vehicle they check the computer and they didn't have any in stock and he said that he can order one for me and I will receive it the next day but I was in a hurry and I needed a battery he checked the other locations and made a few phone calls and found 2 in Pep Boys in Skokie and the employee gave me the paper with the stock number and called the Pep Boys in Skokie location to make sure they have it in stock and they assured me they do have it. when I got to the Skokie location I met one of the employees name (T**Y) its showing the picture I told him that I came from the Niles location and I needed the battery and I gave him the paper with a confirmation number on there without even looking at the paper he said they don't have it and there is no such a personcalled and he didn't even look at the paper or type anything on the computer he had the worst attitude and unprofessional customer service and had no manners after we told him we have the confirmation number. Went back left us in the front for about 5-10 minutes and came back told us to have a nice day to leave the store I will never buy anything from Pep Boys the worst experience and unprofessional manners.. when we asked for his name he told us his name was Tony but I don't think that was his name but I do have the picture and a video of him giving us the worst experience and unprofessional mannerism

I ve pointed out an issue with the supervisor but the mechanic found out and argued and yelled at me with bad attitude and swearing.I could not expect this behavior from a reputed firm like Pepboys.I am very disappointed.Mr. Omari and Ms. Sharon were very professional and helpful.

1st time here - Excellent: I made an appointment but dropped in to see if I could get in earlier, after discussing what I needed done I was told I could leave my vehicle there and they would definitely get it in and work done before my scheduled appointment time. So happy this could be done for me.2nd visit for ABS Sensor issue - POOR rating, left with issue still there. Was given a short explanation that it would take a "little bit" for the new sensor to connect with the car, "Chevy's are slow that way". That is so funny because I've had a sensor replaced before and did not have any problems. This time I get in the car and the ABS light and the scrolling warning the Traction Control is off and to service the stabilitrac system is still on. Called while on my way home and was told "this is what the tech told you would happen, it takes a little time". Next day I get in the car to travel 75 miles to a job location and I'm still experiencing the lights and the stuttering. I stopped several times to turn the car off and attempted to reset the lights, turned it back and I still have the warnings and light and still experiencing the stuttering when I step on the gas. In my opinion NOTHING was fixed and I felt it hazardous to drive. NOT HAPPY!

Had to go last minute last night for a nail in my tire, it being Sunday and being an emergency Amari got me in as fast as he could, I had my little boy with me so it definitely not easy. While there were a lot of people there for it being a Sunday after 4, I think the guys there did a great job, kudos to all three guys that were there this past Sunday!!!

Great service by Sonny at your Skokie location. His standards are very high. He apologized a couple of times where there was no need to, as I was completely satisfied. I don't know of any other place near me where we could have taken our car in for a flat on Sunday afternoon, had the right brand and size coming in next morning and got it fixed Monday morning. He even arranged a ride for me to get back to their garage as a thank you for being willing to wait until the next morning (which was fine for me anyway). I also appreciated that he kept the car in the service bay overnight, so that it was safer.

It's almost impossible to get anyone to pinpoint an appointment instead of a "timeframe/window", I've waited for my car to get done only to have no technician show up, and the hold/ wait time to speak to a person is ridiculously long or non-existent. I've finally given up on Pep-Boys, after having been a customer at one location or another, for over twenty years. Last week I went to Just Tires. I scheduled an appointment online, spoke to an actual person, my car was taken on time, and I'm happy with the work they did and will now be their return customer! Pep Boys, cutting down on employees/not being able to retain them, says a lot about your company.

The customer service experience at this place was pretty terrible. They called to confirm my appointment (that I set 5 days in advance) and acted like they had know idea why I was coming in. They didn't even know if they had my tires in stock. During my confirmation call , the night before my appointment, I told the representative on the phone I would be waiting with my car till the service was completed, because I don't have another mode of transportation. The day of my appointment the customer service representative at the desk asked if I could leave my car overnight, which he should have know I couldn't base on what I told them the night before. At that time he acted like it was my problem/ fault that they overbooked their appointments for the day and made me feel guilty by saying in a rude manor "well I guess we'll just have to work overtime and keep the shop open late for you". After the service was complete they still had an hour till their posted closing time. This was a bad experience, especially because I spent a lot of money there. I would not suggest going to this place.
