We have been bringing our cars to Phil for over 13 years. I still drive my 2001 BMW because Phil keeps it in such good shape. We have 4 daughters and have purchased several used cars from Phil over the years for them to drive and those cars have always been incredibly reliable. I always feel the work has been done conscientiously and in a timely fashion. Phil is not the least expensive service provider you can find, but he is arguably the best, and worth every penny to me. Phil provides accurate estimates for his work and he is a fair and ethical business person.

I have been going to automotive Body and Tire for 35 years and never had a problem. I recommend anyone that is looking for a reliable mechanic to give them a try. You will be totally satisfied when your vehicle is ready.They also do towing and body work.I would not even trust the dealership with my car. Once you try them you will continue to return.

These guys - and especially Phil - have been my go-to for almost 30 years! Never steered me wrong, never overcharged or over promised, and never, ever once acted dishonestly! They are the VERY best at what they do & have delivered every time - you'll never be disappointed by their service and their work!

Phil is a legend. Very trustworthy, wont oversell you, knows his stuff. Definitely take your vehicle here. Call ahead , hes busy because hes so good.

This service center is the best!! I am planning all my service maintenance for this garage when I come to Chicago from Cleveland to visit family. You don't know how lucky you are in Skokie! I only wish I knew of a garage half as good and trustworthy where I live!6 or more months ago the local Toyota dealership told me my calipers were worn and other such stuff, that I would have to replace my brakes in the winter. I could wait, they said, but really, it would be much better if I did it immediately. Didn't I want to do it immediately?No.I scheduled with Automotive just after Thanksgiving. When they looked, the brakes needed cleaning up but probably had another 2-3 years! Automotive did a thorough job, communicated beautifully on the invoice they gave me (I can even understand what was done), and the car is running tip top with great gas mileage. AND Phil will explain anything; he's a good teacher. They are honest, fair and have great integrity in my experience.5 thumbs up to this family business!

Overpricing!!! tried to sell me one tire for 250$ and because I can t drive they thought I m going to pay them. So if you have needless money you can fix your car here

I always get great service here. Phil always takes the time to explain the work he does and lets me know when to expect future maintenance. You won't find this level of service at other shops.

They were available right away to fix two low tires - turns out my tires were over 5 years old and needed replacement! Had what I needed on hand and was able to get it done quickly. Fair pricing and best part is nearby our home in Skokie, will definitely be back!

I drove in from out of town with liquid leaking on my foot by the gas pedal. Not only did the owner take the car in the next day, diagnose the problem and go above and beyond fixing and updating things, he ran a routine test that saved me from being stranded somewhere with a dead battery!I took my car in to the local dealer religiously every time the maintenance notification came on. I JUST had the car in within the month and the Toyota dealership mechanic "ran a full diagnostic" at which time they tried to upsell. But they DIDN'T find the low battery or system faults, one of which meant my low tire pressure light wasn't coming on. All 4 tires were at 29 instead of 35, but I thought everything was fine because the icon wasn't lit.Bottom line, this shop is knowledgeable, honest and does great work! Wish they were in my town!

It is not often that I can genuinely trust a car mechanic, and in the past 12 hours, I had a fortunate encounter with Phil and his towing and repair shop services. My car had a flat tire when I was driving late one night in the rain. He came by and got the spare tire on my car and was very kind and sensitive in my time of need. The next morning, I came into his shop at 730,and here he was again, working. He kindly guided me through the process of my tires, and was very helpful in giving me future advice about my current car, and how to take care of it. The service ran longer than expected but he was transparent about the process and showed delicate concern about making sure that my car would run smoothly. This is a family owned business and I highly recommend his service.

DO NOT bring your car here, he charged my sister 189 dollars JUST to look at her car, his estimate for her was double what the rest of the automotive shops told her. And he was extremely rude and disrespectful. Save your time and do not go to such an awful place who rips people off.

My girlfriend needed to get her bumper fixed after she accidentally ripped it off lol. And this place is straight to the point no hidden fees and shows you everything upfront before you go on with fixing your car. Phil,the owner, is intelligent, honest and fair minded. He will tell you in advance what will need to be fixed so you can plan for it. He also sells cars, and we'll never go anywhere else.Your in very good hands....look no further, Phil's your guy!!!!

Highly recommend, was able to get an accurate price over the phone for swapping tires and toms sensors. Work was done within the timeframe given. Honest family run business. Will use as my go to mechanic.

Very honest shop. If work isn't necessary, they won't recommend it be done. Also, if unable to complete job right away or if you're dropping the car off for repairs they will drive you home and then pick you up upon completion.

This place provides excellent service, prompt towing services, and perform repairs with integrity. They completed replacing ball joints and a drive axle assembly on the same day. I definitely would recommend this place to family and friends.

Very trustworthy. He clearly explained each issue and pointed them out in the car, he also explained how long I could go without fixing them and which ones probably weren't worth it because of the age of the car.

Not free check. Charge $99.75 for checking control arm and sway bar condition. For other shop that's free. I would never go again and neither recommend this shop to any one.
