Steve is a great person and has great talent working with him. He specializes in mustangs but knows how to do much more than that.I've gone to a couple mustang shops prior to this which I stumbled upon this shop when I moved to the area. I would never go back to the other ones given the excellent satisfaction I've had with Steve. If you have a mustang I HIGHLY recommend you come here. Both you and your car will be taken care of.

Ima start off by saying if you have a mustang come to untamed, cuz there tuning on mustangs is truly optimal performance you will fall in love with your car even more, story is i was tuned by a different tuner and i hated my car and just getting revision after revision i got tired and i was about to sell it but i decided ill give untamed a shot since my buddy marcus also has a mustang and he referred me he and I decided ok ill give it go i got there and steven took care of the rest he has 30+ years of experience on mustangs really knowledgeable on cars and it shows as he drives a procharged 5.0 pushing 850whp and has about 84k miles with that being said he made sure i was satisfied i got a 93 fbo tune and he made sure i was dialed in. I once again fell in love and decided to not sell my car, so thanks to steven and his team. In conclusion if you got a stang come to untamed they will set u right. I def will be back with my other mustangs

Once again Steve at Untamed Auto was able to help me out and fix my truck. A little back story I bought my 2010 Ford F-150 used and the dealership gave me an aftermarket warranty. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle my transmission started slamming and bucking. I took it to Steve and he was able to diagnose that I needed a new transmission. Thankfully he was able to work with the warranty company and I got a new transmission installed in only a few days time, would definitely recommend Steve and his shop to others and will be going back for all my car needs!

Took my mustang here a couple times now and every time Steve does an amazing job. No matter what you need done he will not only get it done but help you in deciding what parts you need. He and team go above and beyond what most mechanics will do; sending videos, pictures and showing you every step along the way. Steve from Untamed Auto is a stand up guy! He was able to diagnose a wheel wobble that 2 other shops missed. He road tested before and after the fix to make sure that it was gone. He even called me to follow up after I left to make sure that I was satisfied. If that s not customer service, I don t know what is. Thanks Steve!

Will highly recommend taking your mustang to untamed auto for mechanic job or performance. Took my mustang to get a short throw shifter install , and it was done right /done same day . Steve from untamed auto and performance took great care of my mustang, went in for header install and some tuning and he got me in and out in a timely manner and kept his word, sent pictures during the entire process and even informed me about damage I had to the car that I already knew about. I would definitely go back and recommend anyone else to go if they want to be in great hands

My Subaru WRX experienced a spun bearing, so I connected with the owner (Steve) about getting my motor rebuilt with a stronger block. The initial experience speaking with him was excellent. He layed out all the pricing of the parts clearly. He was very knowledgeable of my vehicle and gave me recommendations for upgrades and maintenance that could/should be done while the motor was out(Saving me money on labor in the long run).I decided to go with an IAG Stage 2 Tuff block.. IAG blocks are typically made to order (on backorder). So there was a bit of a wait.. While waiting for the part, Steve constantly followed up with the Vendor to push them to get the block shipped ASAP, he always kept me in the loop.After the short block, clutch, timing kit, etc arrived, Steve and his team worked day and night to get my engine reassembled and get my subie back on the road. I believe it was only like 3 days after everything arrived, I was picking up my car from them.They with everything with a fine tooth comb. It is almost 6 months later, and my car is running better than ever.Everyone on the Untamed team are extremely knowledgeable and talented. They are always willing to answer any questions you have. There labor prices are beyond fair. Overall it was a great experience. I will be going here for any major upgrades or repairs that need to be done to my Subie.What more can you ask for? Quality fast work, with great customer service.

I found Untamed via a Google search--great ratings so I thought I'd give them a call. I had a check engine light come on about a week ago. O'Reiley's ran diagnostics on it which indicated it could be a coolant thermostat issue. I took my car to pep boys and they quoted me $288. When I called Untamed they quoted me a much lower price based on the problem I described. I called on a Thursday afternoon and they made time for me ASAP on Saturday so I wouldn't have to miss work. When I brought my car in I was blown away by the honesty and personableness of Steve and Ron the owners. Both of them helped to run diagnostics on my car and talk to me about the potential problem. Crazy enough, the check engine light went off right before they went to run the diagnostics. They still ran them, but then left it up to me if I wanted to proceed with changing the coolant thermostat or not. I drive a 2003 Ford Focus so the part was 15 years old at this point and I have emission testing coming up so I didn't want to risk it going back on. I'm an "Ounce of Prevention" type so I told him to yes, please go ahead with the repair anyways. He quoted me a MUCH better rate than Pep Boys--considerably lower to my astonishment. Steve and Ron moved 3 other cars they were working on out of the garage to get my car in and up on a lift. Steve took care of the repair in about an hour and even did an oil change I asked for at the last minute. After that, he showed me the undercarriage of my car and explained it still looked to be in pretty good shape. No major leaks or damage. I told him I just got my muffler replaced somewhere else back in November and it had cost me about $1000. He advised me that I may have been charged the maximum price for the parts (parts alone totaled over $700). He thought the job could have been done for somewhere between 500-700 total. Wow. These guys are the real deal! Honest and knowledgable. I learned so much and I really appreciate the time they took to talk to me and explain everything to me. They didn't sell me anything I didn't need and didn't "coincidentally" find more things wrong with my car. I brought my Dad with me in case I would have to leave my car at the shop. When my dad had questions about his own car (some interior upholstery stuff and a scratch on the front end), they took the time to look his car over and advised him on the most cost effective route (which they were honest and told him they didn't specialize in that and he could get a better deal elsewhere). Just A+ service all around. Kudos to operating your business with honesty, integrity and true passion for mechanics. Will be coming back to see Steve and Ron for future repairs and I highly recommend to anyone who is reading these reviews and considering Untamed for their auto repairs. (Notable to mention that I live in Elgin and it is well worth the trip for me to come back out and see these guys.) Thank you for your help, Untamed!

Untamed Auto is amazing. They preform honest and quality work. They are capable of anything from basic routine maintenance to the most extreme performance mods. After finding Untamed I won't go anywhere else.
