I never write reviews, like literally never no matter how bad the experience is but I feel that I have to this time, Had my son s car towed there because it wouldn t start. I spoke to Israel who was very nice which is why I chose this shop. They called and told me my parts were exactly what it needed (I had spark plugs and coils in the car) and they got it started just fine but failed to tell me that once you turn it off it wouldn t start back up. Also, they told me the water pump was bad and that s the reason it was over heating and that would be $1480. I asked other than this can they tell me if the car was worth keeping and asked about the engine, trans, etc,. And he couldn t answer my questions he just mentioned the water pump. I asked them for a full inspection because I would rather cut my losses then to keep putting money into the car. I had to tell them to give me an oil change to which they replied I m glad you said that because it was really dirty. Got there to pick it up and they asked me did I need them to jump start it. Baffled I said yes but asked why wasn t I told this over the phone. He then said the battery was no good and I said had I known that I would ve told you guys to put a battery in it. The guy who was checking me out said he was the owner but acted like he knew nothing about my car and said the guy that worked on it was now on vacation. He was very dismissive to everything that I asked him and was trying to figure out. I m a single woman and I know nothing about cars so I was looking to him for some guidance. I understand it was 15 mins to closing time but the fact that I chose this shop when there s literallly 20 shops in a 5 mile radius I expected to be treated with more care and concern than I was. Definitely will not be returning. Took my car to two different shops close by and they told me it s not the water pump that s causing it to over heat. My car is now completely fixed for $1000 less than what they quoted me.

i took a car in from a dealership for an inspection and they were more thorough than any i ve been to for this reason so far. an employee even sent me 20 pictures from his personal number of all the things they checked out just to go that extra step, and then they sent me an estimate of the potential repairs needed for free. great place !

Massive thank you to the team at Express Auto Repair!!! Husband blew out a tire on 290 about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. No spare or lug nut thing. He has a set of summer tires on rims at the house, so I brought one to Express and waited for my husband to arrive with the tow truck. Tow truck through Farmers never showed! All other trucks were an additional 3-4 hours. It was now almost 6. The team at Express (who we ve never worked with before), said We ll get him . They actually got in their truck, drove to my husband stranded on 290 and changed his tire! AMAZING!!! They really are HEROES! There was no discussion about payment, they just wanted to help us in a tough situation. We emptied our pockets with $65 and gave them every dime. We ll stop in later and settle up. Thanks for the reminder that good, honest and caring people are still out there!

Best shop around hands down has very knowledgeable people working there took in my car for a diagnostic to figure why my car was overheating not only did they find the issues other shops hadnt found but they fixed it fast and at a very reasonable price. Very grateful for Israel and Nelson for restoring my car to its best condition. Would recommend this shop 100 out 100 times best staff when it comes to customer service and knowledge.

This is a great place to go to. I had some emissions issues and Jc Guzman fixed it for me asap! Such a wonderful person. I have been having money issues and alot of past repairs and they worked with me. I will recommend them to anyone! Very great people! 5+stars!

Very fair prices and very nice people! If you need something done to your vehicle they can do it all! I ve been a customer for 2 years now and don t plan on switching.

I called this shop because I needed to get back up n running the owner is straight forward and will tell you exactly what it is you ll need and also reasonably priced. Reminds me of my mechanic will definitely come here again to get work done in the future if I need it. And a plus they are open on a Sunday

Amazing experience with this place and have been having auto service repairs done by them and their team for the last 2 years now. They've been really good in servicing my vehicles and they have had the best and favorable pricings for oil changes! They've given me a great pricing after repairing my headlight on the passenger side. Excellent place and staff especially the gentleman at the window that services the front desk--great conversationalist.

I recently had my car towed to my house, and I am thrilled with the service provided by Mike. He was punctual, skilled, and ensured the safe transport of my vehicle. Mike's professionalism and friendly demeanor made the experience even better. I highly recommend this towing company, especially with Mike on board. Five stars!

I got a Complete Vehicle Inspection from Firestone where they told me I needed my control arm replaced and both a front and rear brake job ASAP, totaling up to $2125 in costs from them! Brought their inspection list to Scott who ended up taking a look at my car, he found that only a rear brake job was needed and that Firestone lied about my control arm, it was perfectly fine. Scott charged me a very fair price on the brake job, $200 less than what Firestone quoted me for, and ended up saving me almost $1800 compared to what Firestone was willing to charge me. Definitely come here if you want an honest, reliable, fair-priced auto shop you can count on!Service: Brakes

I've been coming to this shop for 15-20 years. I know this because they've kept my car running for this long (20 years next month, 96k miles). I keep coming back to this because it's a quality auto repair shop that has honest owners/workers. At this shop they will be honest with you if your brake pads still have a few thousand miles on them. They've installed parts I ordered myself and just charged for labor. They've even helped me with random miscellaneous things and didn't charge me. When my car has had issues, they were diligent in trouble shooting and would call me back with updates. The after night drop off is nice too. (just park in their lot and leave your keys in an envelope with a note/contact info) and they can get to work.For their quality service, I tell everyone I know to come here and have convinced my family to switch here too. I haven't lived in the area for 15-17 years but purposely come in from the city to bring my car here where it has issues or when I need an oil change ($20-25 for my car, very reasonable and affordable). Cannot recommend enough!Update: 01/06/2024Like all things, the cost of everything has increased. I needed an oil change and it was $45.39 all in for synthetic 5W20 oil & disposal. There is an $8 non taxable charge included with the oil change that I couldn't figure out because there was a separate $2 disposal fee.Scott is no longer there. I believe it is a new owner, Israel (president from his business card). I went on a Saturday morning and they were busy. I opted to wait in person. I also noticed that they no longer have guest WiFi that they did previously when Scott was there.

Nothing but quality work. The prices are extremely friendly. For the past 10 years I have been coming here for oil changes brake jobs pretty much anything that my car needs. This is a One-Stop shop for everything that you need done mechanically. Highly recommend coming here for any kind of service work and major repairs. They will work with you on the price as well just have to talk to the owner.

Have used these guys a couple times... They are directly across from my company.... QUALITY WORK EVERY TIME AND THERE PRICES ARE BETTER THEN FAIR.... 100% RECOMMEND THESE GUYS .

I was on a weekend getaway with my son and my Jeep blew a water pump. This happened on Saturday afternoon and I thought I was going to be stuck in Schaumburg for the weekend. Also, Monday is a holiday so I very easily could be stuck until Tuesday at the earliest. Anyway, I called Express and spoke with Scott...I think...I'm so bad with names but I explained that I was panicking because my vehicle was dead, I thought it was the water pump and I was 300 miles away from home. He got me in on Sunday, did great work and quoted the price before he started. I cried. So, honest and compassionate are understatements and I highly recommend.

8/22/23 - Oil change, I have been a customer for about 4-5 years. They have serviced and repaired both of my cars. The service is great and prices are fair. Technician Chris & crew are awesome. Thank you, Scott, for having good, honest employees. I recommend this place to everyone.

Failed emissions due to my dlc connector being out of the bracket. This place was 2 minutes away and had it fixed in no time flat. HIGHLY recommend for repairs, emissions or not. Really great guys, quick quality service, fantastic shop.

My truck had a major transmission leak and i knew of some friends that took their vehicles there. They were awesome had my truck diagnosed in the same day. Unfortunately they had to order my parts not their fault. J.c was very nice and professional. My truck was finished the next day. Highly recommend them to anyone. I've taken my truck there 3 times now for repairs. Every time has been a good experience, they are helpful and explain what is needed for the repair and are always good with their estimates.

Auto Express is a great place for car repairs! The owner Scott is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and more importantly he is very honest!!He does not do "extra" work to get a few more bucks from you.He explains things to you in a kind gentle way that you can understand! And he gives you options to choose from !My family and friends have been blessed to do car repairs and oil changes with Auto Express for many many years. And we look forward to many many more years of Rock Solid car repairs and oil changes in the future!Earl

I should start off by saying I NEVER write reviews but I've never been so impressed and happy with a mechanic in my entire life! 5 star service all around! I live 3.5 hrs away and we had to have my car towed to them in the middle of the night. The next morning we came to find out the tow company sent my car to the wrong address and Scott was amazing. He literally went across the street and found my car and was able to get it to his shop saving us from having to get another tow! The service was so fast and efficient! Scott had my car done within a couple of hours just in time for us to get it after our bridal shower! The price was more than reasonable for all the work we had to have done! I would highly recommend Scott for any car needs! His customer service and efficiency was the best! Thank you Scott!!!
