New to the area and was so worried when my check engine light, joined by a few others came on. Yet I was so blessed to have found this shop! I was so fearful of finding a new mechanic, as I have always known personal family and friends that I trusted. They made me feel like I was still right at home! They were extremely accommodating and provided me a lift back home for work. As soon as parts came in for my new muffler they worked late and called me at 8am on the dot next day for pick up. I an extremely grateful for their service.

Excellent shop. This is your classic small family owned business. All of the mechanics are friendly and reputable. They work hard. Their pricing is super reasonable.

Not really good mechanic. When I after service came to home, wrong level oil so much and coolant system haven t enough level. Bad:(

You will save thousands of dollars over the life of your car if you just bring it here. I meant to write a review sooner because this place is the best. I started going here when my regular repair place wanted what I thought was way too much for my brake work. This place saved me $1000, not kidding! Anyway, from then on I have only used this place for my car and my wife's car. Just picked my car up from CNS because it had an engine leak. Leak is now fixed and the price was excellent!Services: Auto water leak repair, Brakes, Oil change

I was several hours away from home when my car starting making an unsettling noise. I looked up the nearest mechanic which happened to be CNS Automotive. Based on the reviews, I decided to give them a call. They were able to get me in, scope out the situation, and hook me up with a temporary fix to get me home. I'm very impressed with their quick service and integrity. Grateful that they were able to get me in and back on my way when I needed it. Thank you!

I ve been using CNS for 20 years and will never go anywhere else for service to our vehicles. Bruce, Rob, & Wayne have provided me with professional service al these years. It s almost impossible to find an auto repair shop that combines quality, value, & professionalism all wrapped up in one. On one occasion last year, I needed extensive repairs on my car that I didn t initially realize when I dropped it off. Bruce personally drove me back to work 10 minutes away because the repairs would take longer than anticipated. This is a company that truly cares about their customers. They never sell you anything you don t need & Rob on many occasions told me not to waste money on a repair that I thought I might need at the time. This is a company you can trust & I won t go anywhere else. Other small businesses could take lessons from CNS on how to treat customers. I ve been using CNS for over thirty years. Their service is exceptional and they are trustworthy! Their prices are the BEST around! They always fix what s necessary and keep my pocketbook in mind. Their tire prices beat everyone even Walmart and Costco. These guys went above and beyond for me. I can't say enough good things about them. I had my motor replaced due to a bad oil change and the shop where it was brought to did the engine replacement but that shop failed to realize that the turbocharger and intercooler also needed replacement. That previous shop told me I needed a new computer. I ended up bringing my car to the guys at CNS who quickly discovered my computer was fine and that the turbocharger and intercooler were the problem. They had great communication and were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend CNS!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had a nail in my tire. Took it to a few other places and those places wanted way more money. This place is very reasonable.A little hesitant because it s kinda tucked away and all but the staff was extremely nice and the tires were fixed quickly.I have plans to come back if I have any other issues

It s true I do work here! HOWEVER, I have known Bruce for just about 35 years. He does all the service on all of my vehicles. CNS provides fair and honest and reliable repairs every single time! No high pressure add on sales. Honest, extremely competent, great communication, good prices. They eliminate the anxiety & doubt of keeping a vehicle in good repair. No unnecessary repairs, and they educate you on the foibles of your particular make & model.I have gone to them for over 10 years and they have helped me keep an aging and now ancient vehicle running dependably. Wish I could leave 10 stars!!!

I took my car to the dealership for my usual oil change and they came back with a list of repairs I needed totaling over $1200, I didn t have them do the work, one too expensive and the other reason I didn t feel I needed the work they said I needed. Instead we called Rob, someone we have gotten to know over the last couple of years and more importantly, someone we could trust, to my surprise and shock we only needed one thing done on our call that cost $233. This is why dealerships have a bad rap, trying to sell you something you don t need. I will be sure to tell my friends, co-workers about CNS, this is a business you can trust and respect!Service: Brake service & repair

I was referred by a friend who is a mechanic that did a lot of business with them. Just like you might be, I was nervous finding a new mechanic. However, they did a great job explaining everything with a laid back, no pressure kind of attitude, at a great, fair, price. It's important to support local businesses! I had a horrible noise coming from my front end on a Friday morning and I didn't explain how bad it was, just that I needed new brake pads. Couldn't get me in until the next Thursday. I called again Monday morning and told them how awful it was sounding, and Bruce personally made sure he got my car in that day and made sure it was safe to drive. I brought it in that Thursday for struts, and they called and said they were fine, saving me hundreds of dollars when they could of easily done the repair without telling me it wasn't needed. That's how you earn a customer's trust and I'll be bringing my car here for the foreseeable future.

The best mechanics around!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have been going to their business for the last 23 years and I have always been extremely satisfied with their quality of work.My entire family and friends who live locally take their vehicles to CNS Automotive. I even have a friend who lives in Chicago and he still takes his car to CNS Automotive.They are affordable, reliable, honest, and hard working mechanics.I take all my vehicles to their business for any mechanical need, whether it is an oil change, new tires, or something major.Do yourself a favor and the next time you car is in need of mechanical repair go to their business and find out for yourself.I promise that you will be very satisfied with their quaility of work.

Been going to CNS Automotive for over 20 years and 4 or 5 cars now which includes new unless warrenty work. They are the best car repair place in the Northwest suburbs hands down!! If you need help with your car large or small work, oil change, brakes, etc. give CNS a call.. You will not be disappointed. Talk with Bruce, CJ, Rob, or Wayne. Prices are outstanding, repair time quick, and you won't go home ticked off. Trust me!! John H.

Honest mechanics period. They care about your vehicles and you pocket book. They keep my entire fleet of emergency HVAC trucks ready for when we need them. No problems too big or small they can't help you with, or get you to the right specialists. Long term clients here.

Called made an appointment, 4 days later was earliest they can get me in. 8 am. Dropped it off; took Uber to work. Instead of them calling me I had to call. 10 am; "Hadn't looked at it yet." Noon" "Hadn't looked at it yet; several cars ahead of yours." I picked it up and said forget it.
