Took my car in because I was concerned that the transmission was slipping a bit. Nothing major. It's high mileage car (105k) so I thought is was a good idea. They reported back that the transmission was fine and it did not require service at this point. I will definitely go back when it does need transmission service.

Two family members had great work done here over the past approx. 5 years. I took my 2003 Deville (58k miles) there on 12/20/23 for what I thought was a trans issue. They correctly diagnosed the whine I was hearing as front wheel bearings (both). Took the car to the dealership and they confirmed that diagnosis and repaired the issue. Based on my family's past 3 experiences here I would heartily reccomend them. Good prices and quick turnaround time.

I would highly recommend having your car serviced here. First off, everyone is so friendly there!!! Dominick was excellent at keeping me informed every step of the way, along with communication between my warranty company. I was stressing my Lexus and what it was going to cost. I picked up Lexi and she purrs like a new car again!! #feelingrateful

This place had high ratings, but I would never take my truck back there again.They definitely don t know what they re doing when it comes to an Allison trans. I bought the 2 year warranty.And all I had was more problems, from day one through to my 2 year warranty.Every time I took it back there, it was a temporary fix.Instead of rebuilding the transmission completely from day one with all new parts. I had to take my truck to another transmission shop and they showed me that they didn t fix it the right and honest way.They just fix it,so it s drivable and when the warranty is over, your screwed. I definitely wouldn t recommend this shop,that s why there prices are so cheap

They helped me so much. I originally took my car to a dealership hoping something would still be under warranty but they told me they would not even look at my car for 2 months. I brought it here and they looked at it right away, they have amazing customer service, they got my car fixed within a week. They did an excellent job. I just cannot thank them enough for how much they helped me. Highly recommend!Service: Transmission

My car is acting up and I brought it to this business thinking my transmission was the issue. The owner looked over the car and let me know what it was and where I can go to have it fixed. He did not charge me anything and was super friendly and answered all my questions. Although, I m glad my transmission is not out, I will definitely use this place in the future and recommend it to others.

If honesty exists in the auto repair business, it's home is here. Best service, honest estimate and top quality work. I took an 07 VW Rabbit here with serious transmission issues. Dominick told me exactly what the problem was, how much to fix it, and when it will be done. The best part, he was right on all three. And for pricing, he quoted me a good $1K under what AAMCO quoted me to just "look at it" - which means it will be significantly more. Absolute best price around for transmission repair. Take your transmission issues here. Don't ask questions, do it now, then rest easy.Service: Transmission

I want to give a big "Thumbs up" to Dominick and his staff at A Affordable Transmissions.We brought our 1999 Honda Odyssey in for transmission service. He was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done to repair our vehicle and clear about the cost and when the vehicle would be ready. His rates are very reasonable especially after comparing them to several other shops including Honda service...(the Honda Service quote was 4 times higher).We received the vehicle on time and drove it for a few weeks but unfortunately encountered a problem. I called Dominick and explained the situation. He is all about service and was truly concerned and caring about what happened. He assisted us in getting our vehicle back to his shop, diagnosed the problem and discovered an unusual problem that appeared which was something beyond his control. He backed up his warranty completely and came through for us. We have the van back and it's running great. I am looking forward to getting a few more good years out of our '99 Odyssey.I have and do highly recommend A Affordable Transmission to anyone needing his expert services!

NEED TRANSMISSION WORK? SAVE YOUR TIME AND CALL DOMINICK AND JOHN. THEY WILL GET IT DONE RIGHT AND STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.My wife's Honda Odyssey Transmission went out at 120000 miles. I found A Affordable after the Honda dealer gave me a ridiculously high repair quote and didn't want to work with my extended service contract. I was calling around for a lifeline and got the runaround from other transmission shops. Then I called A Affordable and Dominick answered the phone. From the very beginning he gave me straight forward prices over the phone and told me "Don't worry about it, if you get the car to me we'll take care of it". I think they will even tow your car in for you if you need them to. He walked me through the repair process and answered all my questions. He patiently dealt with my extended warranty contract and I had the car back in two days. The van drives nice and smooth now and feels like its got a new lease on life. I got a 2 year warranty but I believe these guys will stand behind their work no matter what the paperwork says.JOHN and DOMINICK are GOOD PEOPLE and have earned a loyal customer in me and that is not easy to do!!!

HONEST PEOPLE! They got car in right away. After checking everything out and test driving they determined that it wasn't a transmission issue. They recommended another mechanic for the issue and didn't charge. The mechanic that spoke to my dad was invested in my dad's safety and gave him good advice based on the issues with his car. I'm really thankful that there are good honest people out there and they care about their customers.

Great job from Dominic and team to quickly diagnose my 2014 Caravan transmission issue and help me with warranty coverage. In the end their shop did not get the business, because warranty required that the work be done at a dealership. Very professional and generous of them. Saved me a lot of money.

I've worked with a lot of mechanics, and you can always tell how good a mechanic is by what they tell you after the job is done. Good mechanics will give you a run-down of what they found, what they fixed. Great mechanics will answer your questions, and possibly tell you a few extra things they noticed about your car along the way. Dominick and his guys are EXCELLENT mechanics. They cover all the bases above, exceed expectations with communication, and make sure they get the job done right at the best possible price. On top of all that, they are all really nice guys.Any transmission work I need in the future is going to this shop. I would recommend the same to anyone asking. If there are any doubts, just read the never-ending list of 5 star reviews below this one.

Dominick and the rest of the staff at ATS were very helpful and knowledgeable. From our initial phone conversation to the day of pickup, everyone was patient, informative, and competant. I am grateful for their prompt service and honest price quotes. They rebuilt my Honda Odyssey transmission for exactly what they quoted me and had it done on time. I would take my vehicle there again, and I highly recommend them.

The staff is very professional, and they diagnose the problem quickly, and get it fixed. No pushy salesman trying to force repairs you DON'T need, but great people, great atmosphere, and all at reasonable cost. Everything was explained in great detail before any work was performed, and the vehicle runs fantastic after receiving it back! I Highly recommend this shop for any transmission problems you might have!

I picked up my car from A Affordable Transmissions yesterday and was asked if I would leave an honest review of my experience there because of a unjust review they felt they had received so I told them I would.I called a few places before I went there because I tend to price check everything I purchase and A Affordable Transmissions was not the cheapest but if you compared the warranties they offer they were the most fair priced.When I went there I was treated very professional and with respect. Four days later my car was complete and I have no complaints on the work thus far.Would I recommend A Affordable Transmission? Absolutely.Do they deserve a 5 star review? Definitely..... why? I felt as though I was treated fair, courteous, and professional from beginning to end. Great staff as well as quality service. What more could you ask for?!

Brought my 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan in August 2018. We are from Omaha and we were going on a family vacation and didn't have much time to have vehicle worked on. They quickly diagnosed it as 2nd gear failing. After informing Dominic of our family vacation plans, he was able to get vehicle in, repaired (including new motor mounts), and out the door on the morning we were to take off. He personally drove vehicle to help ensure we wouldn't have problems.Vehicle has been working well since. We have put on over 10,000 miles since then. Thank you Dominic and A Affordable.

My father just got his car today,Only an extra day longer but understandable do to parts,my brother in law went with my father to drop off the car and they where greeted with such professionalism,Dominick and his team went above and beyond for my father to be back on the road,very detail on the work that needed to be done,price,and timing of pick up,Im so glad I looked them up before we took it somewhere else like a corporate place.I would highly recommend A Affordable! If any one is in need for check up.Thank you! my father is able to drive his old timer of a car with confidence.

My car had been slowly deteriorating for about a year. We called around explaining the situation and were told multiple things such as it was the gearbox. As my car got worse I looked online and found A Affordable Transmission. I took my car in the next day for a diagnosis and estimate and was very kindly greeted my Dominick. Within a matter of hours I got the phone call that my transmission needed a complete rebuild. This was hard to hear and Dominick understood money's tight and did everything he could to help save me a few bucks here and there. Within a week my car was done and I am extremely happy with the results. Dominick was very kind and explained that if I need anything else call them first so they can refer us somewhere trustworthy. I am very happy with the results I received from A Affordable Transmission and highly recommend them!

I took my BMW 750i in to these guys a few years back. I didn't want to leave a review right away just to ensure that the trans stayed working properly. It has been at least three years now and I have to say that the trans has been working flawlessly without any issues. They saved me a bunch of money and did the job very professionally. I would recommend them to anyone who has transmission issues.

One of the best experiences I've had in dealing with repair shops. The rebuild was flawless and Dominick was very knowledgable and accommodating. His rates were the best I found. Why take your vehicle to a general repair shop and have them sub it to a trans shop...and then mark it up at your expense? I highly recommend A Affordable Transmissions for all your transmission needs.

I couldn't ask for more of a professional and trustworthy shop to take my vehicles to. Dominick was great to work with, had answers for the questions I forgot to ask. My suburban broke down in Wisconsin Dells, had it towed to their shop, he gave me the best price out of ten quotes I received, they gave me a time when it would be ready, and delivered on it.

Terrific Guys - Dominic diagnosed the problem on my 2010 Chevy Equinox as unrelated to the transmission for no fee unlike the dealer I visited who insisted i needed a new transmission. Sunrise guys. Dominic said the problem may be more related to exhaust and headers, then recommended someone who could fix it. I would recommend them highly as straight shooting and reliable. Dave Padgitt had his Toronado repaired there, was extremely satisfied with the work and affordability, and suggested I visit A Affordable Transmission. Glad I did.

Brought my 2008 F250 in for a transmission Dominic was very knowledgeable and professional. They did a great job with a quick turnaround and reasonably priced very trustworthy shop. I highly recommend A Affordable transmission.

Dominick is the man. Had a transmission tailhousing that was cracked my car was completed less then 36 hours later. Very professional and easy to work with. I will be servicing all my vehicles and recommending him to others.

We appreciate the great job done on our Ford Transit Connect. Eddie drives 50,000 miles per year in his work trucks. We rely on this truck for business. After receiving it last week, within 3 hours, I called to thank you for a job well done. This truck has never run better. The shifting and on-demand acceleration has never been better. I work for Servpro of Elgin Northwest Kane County. We have a fleet of 8 vans, 2 F350's, and a handful of cars we plan on sending to this place for any transmission issues. In a timely and cost effective way we have had a 2007 express van transmission done, fallowed closely by having a 2015 promaster transmission done. My transmission went out on my 2004 Ford Freestar on 72 in Schaumburg and I just looked for the nearest transmission shop online. I couldn t be happier to have found this shop. I ve never had to do transmission repairs before so I wasn t too sure what I was in for. But they were very helpful and informative and honest. They laid out allmy options. Got a great price with a good warranty and my vans been running great ever since. Thank you so much!
