Though we didn t end up getting service here when we got a flat during a road trip this past Friday, we wanted to make sure to point out how awesome Justin was, calling us back to give us insight and reassurance about the flat we had. We ended up pressing on to a dealership in Paducah instead of doubling back to Champaign, but appreciated the insight and confidence Justin instilled in us. Thanks for caring! We ll know we have a dealership to count on when we re in Central Illinois in the future (as a U of I alumna, this is more important than you think).

Update 3/18/2024: We received a call from the dealership and they have taken care of the issue with the incorrectly sized tire as of this morning.I am very disappointed with our experience. We purchased our certified used BMW X2 in March of 2023 and when we took it back to the dealership to have some maintenance done on it, we were told that one of the tires was the incorrect size. When we questioned why we were sold a car with an incorrect tire size, we were told that we must have had the tire replaced at some point within the past year and that it was our fault. We did not have any of the tires replaced and the serial number on the tire has the year indicating that the tire was from 2019, well before we purchased the vehicle. We made several attempts to get this rectified, but never got any other response other than we must have had a tire replaced and forgot that we had it replaced? The dealership attempted to send paperwork (that we never originally received with all of the other paperwork from signing) that was conveniently only partially filled out in the tires section, and did not have any dates indicating when this "inspection" was allegedly done. This was our first purchase from this dealership and will definitely be our last seeing as they can't be bothered to fix their own mistake.

Experienced a bad customer service @ Serra BMW of Champaign. As a prospective buyer, We scheduled an appointment couple weeks in advance to test drive and check out. We went there on time with our infant and toddler, but only to figure out they don't have the car requested for ready for us. No prior notification. They don't seem to value our time as a customer.

Agree. Customer service could be better. They are not answering your questions whenever it comes to price. It is just if you buy what I offered, cool, but I m not going to provide a more economical alternative for you. And they could either ignore you by not texting back, or simply hang up the phone when you call in. Terribly arrogant.

My husband and I traveled from Springfield IL to look at a vehicle. We were so impressed with everyone s kindness and helpfulness when we walked in and very much appreciated the willingness to work with us which resulted in us purchasing the vehicle. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle. Wonderful people!

I was lucky enough to work with Gavin in the Sales Dept. He was great to work with and made everything very easy yet professional. I was coming from 4 hours away so I wanted to get there, inspect the car, and head back home as quickly as possible. Gavin made sure it happened that way ! The car is amazing, all the people were super friendly and it was an all around great experience.In addition, I worked with Brian in the Finance Dept. He made sure all the documents were correct and ready to go. He thoroughly explained everything and still made it fun (and put up with my rambling) !!Fantastic experience ! Thank you !!

*Updated (5/9/2023): Tyler contacted us. He did a splendid job to handle the situation. very respectful and attentive ! I could say loyalty isn't too hard to achieve. He earned himself another loyal customer. (5/9/2023)Recently my family and I purchased a car from Serra BMW. and to say that i had a bad experience is an understatement to say the least!The staff was very unprofessional and just seen me as someone who was going to pay them, rather than receive proper help. The Financial Advisors rewrote my contract last minute after an agreed rate, sold me the tires&wheels coverage that's won't cover for run-flat tires which they already known about it because my vehicle (bmw x3) comes with it. They only gave out the first page of the contract. I hadn't known about it until I reported it to them that I needed proof of which terms that given on the contract stated it couldn't cover the tire that had puncture on it. The service advisor kept my car on the lot, reported inaccurate information about it while it was supposed to be getting serviced which lead to the worn-out of tires at 1mm depth. Moreover, the service manager even made a deal he couldn t hold up. Hence, I received nothing but an unsolved hassle and an unfixed car.All in all, I'm deeply disappointed for the reoccurring experiences. Last but not least, I appreciated Ken for being professional and great customer service.

The work they do is great I just believe they can keep in better contact with customer. I took my car in at 730 appt was for 9 did not get car back until after 230 but I had to contact them to find out it was done. Feel better communication should happen from their end.

Truly the best purchasing experience I ve had in a long time. I worked with ken during negotiation on a limited edition vehicle which had a ridiculous demand in the market. Without getting into details of price, he took care of me in a way that no other dealer even considered. Once a deal was struck, I headed to the dealer(90 miles) the next day and was greeted by Charlie and Ken who were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles they sold. Charlie and I had enjoyable conversation and he walked me through all the quirks and features of my new M3. By the end of the day I was a very happy customer and moving forward, this will be the only dealer I buy BMWs from. Appreciate everything

It has been a pleasure working with the Serra BMW service team where I have always felt that I have been treated fairly while receiving exceptional customer support. Working with Justin and Matt has been an absolute pleasure. It's easy to feel skeptical and uneasy when receiving service at luxury vehicle dealerships, but the team at Serra really went out of the way to work with me on my bill and even tossed in extra services free of charge such as free shuttling to and from the location, a car wash, vacuuming, and tire rotation. At the conclusion of my visit, I received a hard copy of a detailed report of the services rendered. The highlight of my last visit, however, was my shuttle driver, Ron. He's just about the kindest person and really helped brighten my day. It's the small details, like my interaction with Ron, that really builds customer loyalty. I give Serra BMW high marks, and recommend to anyone outside of the Champaign area with a BMW to go the extra distance to have their vehicle serviced with this team.

I have been a long time Serra customer. I owned a Subaru that I took to Serra Subaru faithfully each time I needed service. When I bought my BMW, I knew I was in for higher service costs but always intended to take it to Serra BMW.I went in today for a squeaky blower motor. Made the appointment through the "myBMW" app and arrived right at 7:45. Was met by Justin right as I walked in. We exchanged some pleasantries and he got to work diagnosing my car.I was in the lobby doing some work on my computer when he came to tell me that I needed regular maintenance done, the brake fluid, overdue, and the oil change was due in May. I was postponing the brake fluid until May to do a one time service visit.Justin informed me that I had just missed the end of my 3yr/36k mile maintenance period by one month. Knowing the automotive industry, I worked in it for 4 years, I instantly asked "How much?, because BMW stands for "Breaking My Wallet".He let me know that since it was only one month since my maintenance expired, he was going to take care of it at no charge to me. He said sit tight, we will get it done in a couple hours.When it was all done, he brought me the keys and off I went. I have told everyone I have encountered today that Serra BMW, and especially Justin, took care of me today when they didn't have to. Could have just as easily charged me a few hundred dollars and nothing would have changed for them. Except for me, it meant a lot more than the money I saved.Take notes, because that is how a dealership EARNS, repeat business. While I know my next service won't be covered, I will be happy to know my car is in Justin's hands.Side note, I got a flat tire in November and took my tire to a different place. They said it was un-patchable and tried to charge me for a tire. I then zipped on to Serra BMW, Justin, again met me and said if I can't patch it, we will look at a new tire. Justin got it patched, again at no cost.Thanks Justin and Serra BMW. Your kindness and above reproach attitude toward customer service is certainly appreciated and did not go unnoticed. I hope Ben Q, sends you a gift card or something.P.S. The blower motor should be in this week and they will schedule something for me to get that repaired, that is under warranty at least. :)

I can't say enough good things about the service department. They are the absolute BEST!!!!!! they are the only ones I trust! I called late and they fit me in early the next day. They check every box and go above and beyond EVERY time. Everyone in the serra BMW service center are friendly and FANTASTIC! They exceed my expectations every time! Here, they will NEVER try to cheat you and are fully transparent with everything. If you need your bmw serviced.....GO HERE!!My service advisor for this service was Justin D and the technician was Saul M. Thank you Saul and Justin for an awesome service!

Terrible service! Don't go here! I brought my car in right when they open at 8am after calling ahead of time the previous day, and I let the service staff know multiple times that I had a very important medical appointment at 3:20pm. I got a shuttle ride back to Serra BMW at 1:20pm and waited patiently until 2:40pm, then I asked them to check on the status of my car. The text I got said the car was ready at 2:54pm, but in person, they said there was one car ahead of me in the car wash, and I did not get my car until 50 minutes later. They lied to my face because there is no car wash that takes 40-50 minutes just to wash just two cars. And if it does take that long, why did they not put mine in front knowing I was in a hurry? What kind of car wash takes that long, especially when I was in such a hurry and was the only one waiting in the lobby for a car return. No apologies, sympathy, or empathy from service members and the car just needed some air in the tires and a light bulb replaced. Needless to say, I did not make it to my important appointment after a full day of trying my best to get my car back.

I usually never write any reviews, but I had the worst experience trying to buy a car here as a prospective out of state buyer. Car offered was given a sales tax of $1500 more than it should have been, after a credit pull I only was told my rates a whopping 8 days after the credit application. Finance manager was adamant on taxing me on the post-tax amount and simply did not care about my concerns. After signing on the agreed selling price it was jacked up another $1.5k and I had to complain to get it down, miscommunication maybe? They did not seem like they wanted to sell the car due to the length of time it takes between responses, I wasted at least two weeks and two credit pulls with this dealer. Disappointed.

Charlie, Carlos and Ken took great care of me. Charlie was especially knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I appreciate the open and honest communication, as well as the effort they put into proving that gaining a local customer is meaningful to them. I love getting new cars, but hate the process of purchasing them. All three of them made the process easy and seamless!

Serra BMW is a 5-Star organization from top-to-bottom! Our salesman was amazing, and he was able to address every question we had during and after the buying process. Our new X5 is the second BMW that we have purchased from Serra, and their attention to detail is unbelievable. I have been buying cars for 50 years and I can say without hesitation or reservation that the team at Serra are hands down the best.
