I took my car in because I thought it needed brakes. Dave the owner said my car did not need brakes. he said he could have charged me $450 to take care of it but he said he couldn't do that because he runs it on the shop and that he does! if you live in the greater sandwich metropolitan area definitely take your car there.

The owner got us in quickly and made sure to walk me through everything. Gave me a great deal and was beyond kind!!** Updating 4 years later **I really can't praise Dan Stanford with Uptown Automotive enough. He has worked on all our vehicles for years, but when it comes to our work truck, his turn around time is shockingly fast. He puts his best foot forward to keep us on the road.Last week our work truck broke down and unfortunately, we had to take it to a dealership because of how complicated it was. It was a very messy situation. Once we got the truck back, we immediately took it to Dan to have a look over. He didn't even hesitate to jump in the truck and take it for a drive to test it out.We trust no one else but him with our vehicles.Do yourself a service and take your vehicles to him. He is as honest and humble as they come. He won't try and sell you un-needed work or parts. Dan and his crew were extremely helpful with my car. I had my stability control and brake lights on and was concerned about driving it. Dan got me in and fixed it within 20 minutes. Not only was there no charge, they were the nicest and most helpful repair people I have delt with ( INCLUDING DEALERSHIPS ! ). Highly recommend !!

Honest, quick and reasonable. Would highly recommend Uptown Automotive! Stuck in Sandwich the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Called Dan (the only place open) and he said bring it in and he'd see what he could do, but no guarantees. He identified the problem in less than 10 minutes, got a part in 10 minutes and within another 10 minutes I was back on the road. He saved my holiday weekend!

I came into uptown with major coolant issues in my jeep. I had time constraints because I live south of chicago and was working in the area. He went above and beyond that day and did everything he could to fix the problems before I needed my vehicle to head home. Dan gave me some instructions for the weekend and asked if I could bring it back on Monday during work hours because there were a few extra things he wanted to do to. I did exactly as he asked and when I picked my jeep up Monday after work everything is fixed. I have heat and my coolant system is back to normal!!! Thank you! YOU SAVED ME ALOT OF HEADACHES

Sure, the $29 oil change sounded appealing, until I realized they overfilled my engine with FOUR QUARTS of oil. Had to drain it out from under. Ridiculous, never coming here again.
