Dave is a man of great character. My family and I have been going to him for years. Dave has always been honest and kind and never tries to up sell you anything unless he feels it is necessary for the continued safe operation of your vehicle. When I was away at college studying mechanical engineering and something went wrong with my truck and I couldn t figure out how to fix it Dave was just a phone call away and more than willing to give me some tips and pointers to help me get the job done ..not to many mechanics would take the time out of there day to give some young kid some pointers knowing they probably weren t going to see a penny for that advice. Dave is everything you look for in a mechanic, fairly priced, honest, kind, straight forward (he doesn t do any work on your vehicle until he gives you a quote for what needs to be done and you ok it). Dave is a highly skilled mechanic as well, he doesn t just rely on a scan tool. Dave can hear a problem or feel a problem and 9 times out of 10 he will know exactly what it is. That type of skill is not something that can be learned in a textbook. That type of skill is developed from years of experience. Dave has done everything from AC to wheel bearings for me and all of his repairs are still holding up years later.

Dave Morman came recommended from my boss. Called, made an appointment, pretty smooth process. It's a local shop, simple, no frills or fuss. I needed my rotors and pads replaced and he was able to get it done not only in a timely manner but he had the best price within a 25 mile radius. I had the pleasure of meeting some of his regulars there who have used him for all their vehicles and all of them had nothing but great things to say. I will definitely be returning. Nice to find a hard working honest mechanic.

So far as local reputation, Dave Morman's and Speed Wrench Garage both have extremely good reputations with people who know the auto shops in the community.When I called to speak with Dave Morman, he was cordial enough over the phone, but was cold and blunt telling me that he would not accept a credit card over the phone from someone from out of state. I then mentioned again the names of three individuals that know him and rated his business so favorably. But, despite initially saying he could have fit in the inspection today, he simply wouldn't trust that someone who needed help from out of state could be trusted enough to take credit card payment. He even said that the time it would take was not the issue.Then we called Speed Wrench Garage, also in Sandwich, who received high praise from Scott at the NAPA Auto Parts store, and Jeff at Lee's Auto Parts. Candi spoke to the owner Dwayne, and they were willing to fit us in, though late on a Friday. They were busy, but they fit us in. A credit card? No problem. This was such a contrast to our experience with Dave Morman that it warranted my mentioning both businesses in contrast.I'm sure that Dave Morman is a good man, and that his shop is a good shop, but the curt way in which he brushed me off made me sad and disappointed. Therefore I said "Disliked it" and gave it 2 stars.

I have known Dave and Mike for years they are two of the most honest guys I know. I have a fairly new vehicle and I trust them over the dealership any day.

Well the car runs but it's only got a guranteeof 12,000 miles. But at least it's fixed instead of being towed.
