My wife and I were referred by a friend to take our vehicles to Jim's Reliable Auto as we were having some mechanical issues. It's difficult to find a trustworthy partner to perform work on your car that has fair prices and is reliable. Jim's Auto Repair is all of these things (honest, fair and reliable) in our opinion anyway and we would highly recommend him to anyone. I would have had KIA replace my wheel bearings, however they are way more expensive since my warranty doesn't cover the cost. Thanks Jim & Team.

They did an amazing job replacing my power steering hose and did it at half the price of all the other places I called. They work hard to squeeze me in even though they were busy and kept me informed . If you re looking for a great reliable place to get your car repaired then go see Jim you won t regret it. I called Jim about rebuilding a rear differential in an older model truck. He suggested that I purchase a whole used rear end and he would do the installation. He not only found the used part and had it shipped to the store, but he also gave me a very fair price on the labor. When I went to pick it up and pay for it, he knocked off a few more dollars. I am glad I found Jim, he is courteous, friendly and honest. He is my new mechanic! Thanks Jim.

Sometimes I hate giving away my top companies because then they get booked up, however, Jim and his workers deserve it. He is the most fair mechanic I ve ever met. He doesn t gouge his customers. He actually finds the best and most inexpensive fix, he explains what s going on, and he executes the job to the highest level. He saved my girl hundreds by getting a used side mirror and he fixed my AC leak and recharge for a minimal cost. Highly recommend using Jim s Reliable Auto, which is properly named. Thanks Jim!

Jim is by far the most honest and genuine mechanic I have ever met . Extremely affordable and fast service. Gone to him for 3 different issues on 3 different cars and every time I was impressed by not only how quick he works but how fair he is with the pricing and labor. This is how great service is done! Jim's is going to be my go-to repair shop from now on. I needed a quick repair to replace a broken stabilizer link. He got me in right away, came in just under the quoted price, and got the work done within the afternoon. Honest. Great prices. Quality work. Excellent communication. Go to Jim's!

Jim's is seriously the best shop in the area. After having multiple vehicles at multiple shops over the years, I really rather not go anywhere other than Jim's. He is exceptionally honest and fair in prices for parts and service. He charged less than half on repairs to my son's car of what Roselle Service Center charged me for the exact same thing. One drawback might be that, because he does good work for relatively low costs, he is always busy and it may be difficult to get something done right away. It's taken several days in the past to get work done but honestly it was worth waiting. It's refreshing to take your vehicle somewhere and someone tell you the truth as opposed to looking for endless ways to gouge you for money.

I would not recommend bringing any german cars here. I personally was sent home with my BMW repeatedly when my engine kept overheating... They would put more coolant in my reservoir and say everything checks out. Another shop was able to identify all the problems with one diagnosis whereas I kept coming to this shop with the same problem for over a year! This is a shop for american made or japanese made cars. Prices are decent and the people are nice. Service is ok.

Brought my car in after another shop couldn't perform an ABS brake pump replacement. Jim was honest and straight without about the necessity of the pump and expressed concern about sourcing one (car is from 2007 and the model is long discontinued) and the cost of one if he did. After agreeing, I still asked for an estimate. Jim got back to me and found that the pump on my vehicle had a recall on it. Now this recall was from 2015 so we were unsure if it would still be valid. Without prompting, Jim went above and beyond by sourcing a dealership that could get the part and do the work. As well as calling them personally to verify that it would still be covered! Upon picking up my vehicle, I was presented with a contact at the dealership and a phone number to call. Talk about service!I also had my exhaust system repaired which was done correctly and efficiently.Jim is a no-nonsense straight shooter who will tell what's needed and what's not. Will definitely be back for all my service needs!Services: Exhaust, Auto brake repair

As a young single mom this is the ONLY mechanic I ve been to for the past 4 years. There wasn t a single time jim and his team couldn t fix my car. Highly affordable and extremely reliable. He has so many resources there and I cannot be more thankful for this place. 1000/10 recommend

I would like to start off by saying Jim deserves more than 5 stars. I brought my car after seeing many great reviews from a local Facebook group and turns out they couldnt be more correct. Not only did Jim take a look at my front and back breaks which to my surprise didn't need replacing but didn't charge me for looking...which is amazing in itself. He made me feel like family and I will only be going to see him when my car actually needs fixing as he joked. If you are looking for a mechanic...Jim is your man.

My husband had his brakes repaired here recently. When he came home that day there was a new loud humming noise coming from the car. Took it to another shop and wheel bearings on both sides need to be replaced likely damaged in the process of repairing the breaks. Would not recommend Jim s.Update it cost $600 to repair the wheel bearings on both sides. Would avoid this place unless you want to spend extra fixing their mistakes

My car has been sitting here for two years and waiting for a major repair because other people keep coming in and those need to get finished ... Feels like I should be at the front of the waiting line by now. To reiterate another review, don t bring your German cars here.

Jim is great. He's personable and knowledgeable. I came in with a car acting weirdly. He quickly tried a couple things and had diagnosed my problem within minutes. We talked timeline and I figured I'd get my car back in a few days. In the end, he got my car fixed and back to me inside 2 days and saved me some money on parts along the way. He's earned every reward on his office wall.

Jim went above and beyond to help me out with my troublesome Acadia! He replaced the timing chain a few months ago, but recently, although running just fine, the check engine light came back on. Jim stood behind his work and worked until he confirmed the car was safe for my family again! This all happened as our family was scheduled to take our yearly road trip. Jim made sure we had a rental and no worries at all for our trip! I can t say enough about the quality of his work and his integrity! I traveled a good distance to bring my car to him based on a recommendation and I m truly thankful! Now I personally can t reccomend him enough! Thank you Jim! BTW....Becky who runs the office is always kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, wonderful company to do business with!

I have trust issues when it comes to mechanics. Jim cured my these issues. He is fair and honest. He came highly recommended and now i am recommending Jim to anyone and everyone one i know. If you are having any issues it is worth your time to bring it to him.

Jim is an honest guy and a great mechanic with very fair prices. A true rarity in his field. My entire family has been using Jim since before I could even drive and he comes highly recommended.Whether I need an oil change or a new transmission there is only one place I go.

The best experience when it comes to a mechanic. Reasonable prices, and Jim gives you an honest and truthful breakdown of what is going on with your car. Other mechanics always seem to jump to the most expensive option but not Jim. He never pressures you to do any extra or unnecessary work. I would give him ten stars if I could!
