It was good. They did a great job of matching the paint on the new bumper and the seams were aligned. I had conflicting timelines as to how long the repairs would take, and my car was ready in 13 days and I was more than happy to get my new car back. The bumper guard is improperly placed on the rear bumper even though I explained the placement twice. It s not crooked, it s too far in. If anyone has a Subaru Crosstrek Sport with the rear bumper guard, you ll understand what part I m talking about. It doesn t alter the functionality much and isn t a safety issue, but it s a constant reminder of how they didn t listen to my biggest concern. That s why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I don t bother with giving 3 stars because those are considered Neutral. Two stars would have been too low because in general it was a very nice repair except for the bumper guard. Have a good day!

Took car here after car accident. After multiple failed attempts to fix my car and not have it shake they couldnt figure it out was there over 90 days. Took to dealer and a huge list of issues still, hoses bent not replaced, radiator hose bent and damaged, radiator support grommets were missing causing it to torque/tilt. Will never go here again.

Communication could have been better between the shop, us and the glass people. But other than that, all was great and very very fair pricing.

Excellent customer experience is almost rare to find these days, but not at this business. Our 2017 Truck was pelted by hail and the insurance company offered this place out of many to bring my truck for repairs. My selection was easy...I drive past them everyday to and from work. Brian helped us and is the most pleasant, personable and friendly service person I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He estimated the fix time of 4 days and they had it done in 2.5 days....AND, the truck looks awesome!!!I selected this company/location for convenience.....I highly recommend selecting them for service, quality and staff even if you have to drive a little further. Trust me, it's worth the fantastic feeling of care you will receive.

Our car needed to be fixed due to an insurance claim. Final work was fair. Front desk was polite. My husband was disappointed to say the least. The body shop did not buff the car after the bodywork was completed. Tires were dusty white due to the bodywork. Annoying to notice employees blasted the heat in the car to 90 degrees Even I don't turn up the heat that high. Also, the radio was turned back on when it was originally turned off. Heated seats were turned on too. Requested a company survey twice and did not receive. My suggestion to Gerber would be to provide a heater and radio for the employees instead of utilizing a customer car. Small courtesy. We will not be referring Gerber in the future.Service: Body & Trim

When I was hit I immediately took my car here. After a grueling battle with the insurance company, I was told they would not cover the storage fees of my car. I spoke with the team here and their generosity astounded me. They were willing to work with me on the next steps with ease. It was truly a pleasure to deal with such professional and admirable people. Highly recommend.

My experience was fantastic. They got me an estimate back right away and was able to get my car in just a few days. When I got my car back, I couldn't tell any damage was ever there. I would recommend them!

Had them fix my '15 Buick in connection with an insurance claim - from the get go Brandon & Gerber were very accommodating & on top of being in contact via text & phone calls. With these new cars; there is always more damage or things to be attended to once they pull the car apart. Once again; they were on top of it with their communication & timeline - even getting the car fixed early! When I went to pick the car up initially; there was one thing I wanted adjusted; granted I am super particular about my cars; Brandon - my main point of contact - apologized & got it fixed ASAP! These guys do top notch work & are super friendly - Highly recommended!

We did have some issues on repairs. But when Bryan the manager at Gerber found out he gave a 110% of himself to make sure everything was repaired correctly and he also did more then we expected. From the beginning he communicated with us through the whole process even on the car rental he text me to make sure the pickup of the rental went smoothly, and he gave us regular texts to keep us updated on the repairs that were happening. The process of the repairing our car had some bumps at the begin but Bryan dedications as the manger of Gerber and to his customers real made a big difference. Thank you Bryan and your technicians for all you did for us. Gerber is very lucky to have you as a employee. Our Challenger looks GREAT!!!

This Gerber Collision is top notch and I would recommend this facility to anyone needing body work done. Nick took his time with me to go over my vehicle and talked to me about the process. He gave me an estimated time it would take to complete the repairs. He called and text to give me updates on the whole process. I was really shocked when he called me 6 days before the estimated finish date. When I picked up my vehicle, I was floored at the great work these guys did. Looked like it came off the showroom floor. Nick then walked me through everything they did and any questions I had he answered them all. I feel that Nick and the Gerber Collision Staff in Romeoville went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was repaired properly and with all original Chevrolet Parts and to keep me informed of the process.

Recently my daughter needed some work done on her car so I suggested this shop as I ve had good experience there before. Prior to taking the car for repair, they gave her an estimate of around $2000 for the repairs and said it would take 4-5 days. She drooped it off and needed to rent a car while hers was being repaired. The shop knew this when I verified that it would be 4-5 days for repairs. The next day my daughter received a text message letting us know that there was additional damage after closer examination and it will now be over $4,000 for repairs and take over 2 weeks.I find it extremely alarming that no call was made when over double the estimated price was now being asked for the repairs and double the time. Especially when they knew a car was rented. Customer service goes a long way so after this we decided to take the car somewhere else.

I scheduled an appointment on a Saturday morning to get an insurance estimate. The appointment was for 8a and the person we spoke with said to be on time because he has back to back appointments after that. Very busy. The shop is about 45 mins away and I arrived around 730 and nobody was there, but they don t open until 8 so it was no big deal. No car entered or left the parking lot. Around 830 I finally left, and tried to call. The phones forwarded to a National call center and the person I spoke to said he would try to reach the store. Nobody answered and I had to leave a message.I tried to call back a short time later and the employee told me he forgot his keys and didnt realize it until he tried to unlock the door. He said he grabbed the wrong keys. Funny thing, I was in the lot. Nobody showed up. So that was a waste of almost 3 hours.I should have moved on to another facility but the insurance company recommended these guys as a direct bill facility. I didn t want to deal with the money so direct bill is the way to go for me.The first attempt to repair some seemingly minor damage to the fender and front bumper was done poorly so I had to bring it back for readjustment So I had to drive ~45 mins each way to show them what was wrong, and schedule a day to bring it back because Enterprise had no cars available. Had I known Gerber wasn t going to reach out to Enterprise until I was there, I would have scheduled the rental myself.A few days later I dropped the car off again, and pointed out the repairs I wasn t happy with. Mainly the gaps in the hood and bumper, and the horrible paint job.The next day they called and said the car was done, so after commuting almost 2 hours home, I drove 45 mins to pick up the car. Upon inspection there was now bare metal on the fender where they adjusted the bumper and took the paint off. I was assured it would be repaired correctly the next day and they offered to drop it off at my house so I didn t gave to drive back and forth again. The next day, just before dark, the car was dropped off and I didn t have enough light to look at the repairs again. Upon inspection in sunlight, my opinion is it looks worse than before. The paint looks like it was done in someone s driveway with a can of Krylon. I have reached out to the insurance company to see how I can get another shop to start over from scratch, but I doubt that will happen because the insurance company really doesn t care how the car looks. It s a 2016 and the front fender and bumper look horrible...Personally, I don t think you should be able to tell when a car has been repaired. There is no doubt that even a casual inspection will notice there s repaired body damage, which will ultimately decrease the value of the vehicle.I would seriously seek other options if you are reading reviews and thinking of using this repair facility. They have no consideration for people s time.It s unfortunate because when it was Collision Revision it was a great shop. I don t know if Gerber is to blame, or the employees have just become incompetent and unprofessional.

Damaged both passengers doors, was told that both doors would be replaced as well as a few other cosmetic issues. When I first brought it in for an estimate I was told it would be a one week job. Then when I actually scheduled to drop it off a few days later I was told it would be 2 weeks. 2 weeks comes around and I get an update that the paint job has been delayed 4 extra days. It was suppose to be ready for pick up on Monday and now it's Tuesday and I had to call them for an update and now I'm being told it's delayed until Thursday. We will see overall how the repairs look whenever I get my car back.

Im sure the service would have been good but since it was raining they said I only had two options provide my own garage witch I can't or take it to the shop and stand outside in the rain as customers are not allowed inside. It's not worth catching numonia. Thanks for nothing. Maybe let people sit inside with a mask and social distance then clean the area like every other business.

I had an accident which damaged the front and rear of my car and I had the repairs done here. The experience was good, and my car returned in a timely manner. However, there were some major issues. I will preface this by saying I am a mechanic, and I'm experienced in auto body repair. I inspected my car thoroughly after the crash to make sure to advise the service writer so nothing was missed. Both tail lights were replaced (only 1 was damaged) with cheapo aftermarket tuner versions that looked totally different. I was never called to approve this change. I kind of just shrugged, and accepted the car. Later on, I discovered more problems. The alignment was still off even though the work order showed it was done. When I removed the bumpers to install a bodykit, I discovered a new Toyota bumper support, but they put the smashed energy absorbers back on. The work order showed these parts being replaced. I also noticed the AC condenser was the same old one even though the w.o. said it was damaged and replaced. They even went as far as applying a coat of black paint over the rock chips to hide this. The edge of my repaired lift gate was left unpainted and began rusting horribly in a matter of weeks. My biggest complaint was the hood. The hood was undamaged. Somehow the car was returned with a very poor touchup spray right in the center of it. Like if a 10 year old just took a can of flat white spraypaint to it. I never took the car back. I ended up repainting the entire car myself and fixing their mistakes. Poor work, and will bilk your insurance co on the claim.

Was told my car would be ready on monday, monday comes around and they call saying it wont be ready till tuesday because of the paint job..... tuesday comes around and its still not ready....they still say the reason for the delay is the paint job needs to dry. they then tell me it wont be done till friday..... its friday and its still not ready. Overrall terrible place to take ur car to.
