Started this review of VTech Corvette by looking for more stars. Since the max is only 5 that's where the rating wound up, but Jim Mervis deserves more. Jim installed a new motor, clutch, exhaust system and completely redid the chassis on our 1969 Vette. He talked straight to us the whole time. He diagnosed - and importantly - resolved problem after problem. The car gets inside and paint next, but the "bones" are now perfect. The prices were fair, the service was impeccable, and the friendship we now have - it's priceless to us. Many thanks to a terrific gentleman. It's a pleasure to work with you, sir.

Jim Mervis is one of the nicest, and most knowledgeable Corvette specialists you will ever meet. These two are a rare combination in today's world, and one to be treasured. Jim supplied me with a rebuilt differential for my 1970 project. The piece worked out so well, and after talking to him on the phone a few times, I knew that I wanted to bring my core back to him in person, and meet him. When I did, he was gracious enough to tear down the old core, show me exactly what was wrong, and explain everything as he did it. This man is a Saint! Since this experience in November 2020, I have sent others to him for differential work, suspension work, and high quality friendliness all at a fair price.Thank you Jim, you are greatly appreciated.Kevin

I have a 1972 Corvette that I started restoration on and the first thing I did was call Jim. I knew after that conversation with Jim Vtech was going to be rebuilding my parts. Jim has rebuilt the rear diff. and trailing arms what a great job. The only bad thing I have to say is Jim is in Illinois and I'm in Florida. So I can't go to the shop and sit around and talk about Corvettes.Service: Steering & suspension repair

We started our 1963 corvette restoration off right by bringing our front suspension, drive shafts, rear diff, and trailing arms to Jim at Vtech. Thank you Jim for your excellent workmanship and attention to detail!! It was money well spent.

I had the opportunity to visit Jim's shop and talk with him about the complete rebuilt trailing arm setup I was purchasing as well as watch him tear my complete core down. He reviewed and explained the parts and findings to give me some good feedback. Jim is top notch with knowledge and willing to answer all your questions. Jim at V Tech Corvette is the guy I want when it comes to working on my 67 427/390 Corvette. Jim treated my car like it was his own because he is a Corvette owner and understands what our cars mean to us. He is very knowledgeable and was straightforward on all the work he did for me. Prices were very fair and always discussed as we went through the process. The range of work included completely going through the suspension, brakes, some engine work, gauges repaired and other items. His vendors that did some contract work were very good too. I have owned my car for 46 years and when Jim finished work on the car it was just a thrill to drive. As I told Jim when we finished, you are my go to guy for my Vette . Over the last few weeks I have been in communication with Vtech Corvette arranging the details of a large order for a client in Oregon. Jim at Vtech knows his stuff. He kindly walked me through all the details of purchasing a set of refurbished trailing arms, all the rear suspension components and all the front suspension components including some brake parts. He was super knowledgeable and friendly and always available when I had questions. Needless to say I chose to place the order and the parts arrived in a very timely manner and boxed very professionally! We haven't installed the components yet but everything is high quality looking and very sleek, the refurbished trailing arms look brand new! Excellent customer service, Excellent attitude, Excellent parts, at very very fair prices! Support small businesses like Vtech Corvette. I'm a customer for life now!

JIM MERVIS is a PRO. Does great work and is straight and honest. He provided a complete rebuild on my 2nd Flight 65 Sting Ray Coupe's Suspension, trailing arms and complete restoration, rebuild ,replacement of driveline, Axle, Differential, Half shafts. all installed with period correct shocks TO NCRS STANDARDS Jim also replaced the body mounts. not an easy task. Jim is THE MAN if you have an older Corvette. Knows his stuff, does what he says he's going to do, when he says he's going to do it. Very fair and transparent pricing, and just a great guy.
