These guys went above and beyond to get you the help you need. I waited to put my review in until the trans that I got from them was installed. The car runs better than ever no hiccups. Helped me get this trans from Rockford to the south suburbs without headaches. Very trustworthy.

I have never had better customer service from the counter guy of the year in my eyes, Mike Vega. Mike went above and beyond reaching out to his other sources using my vin number to make sure I was getting the right part ( transfer case) before I left the buisness. I will most definitely be getting my parts here from now on and you should do the same as well. Great meeting you today Mike keep up the great professional work ethic

Do NOT order from this place, they deliver wrong or faulty parts and then never address the issue. I've been waiting for the correct engine for 3 weeks now.

Bought an engine for a Jeep, paid to have it shipped out. The engine was bad, knocked like the crank was broken in 2 pieces. Called Kevin and assured he have another engine sent out. After about 5 promises of "It's on the truck on it's way to you", we finally realized after 2 weeks that there was no engine on the way. Also, that's when they started ignoring the phone calls. Needless to say, we had to get another engine somewhere else. I had to file a chargeback on my card to which they fought. They said since we said the motor was "in working condition when we signed for it off the freight truck" that it was now OUR PROBLEM. How can you determine an engine is in working condition when it's on a pallet?Mike runs blocker for Kevin and goes along with the lies and deceitful practices. Kevin is never there when you call. After calling and getting heated, Mike hangs up because he doesn't want to hear about it either.They never ran the engine before they sent it like they stated. They have my money for now. Check out Yelp reviews for a better insight to how they operate.Next step is to talk to the state attorney for Illinois and see if this is the type of transaction they allow.EDIT And they then bash my integrity for ripping ME off. Lowest of the lowAttached are pictures of the inside of the oil pan and engine. The piston was broken on the #6 cylinder and the skirt ended up in the oil pan. Clearly proving they never ran this engine.

I had the best experience today at Rock City Auto. Kevin was able to accommodate me coming from Milwaukee WI even though I did NOT follow his instructions. Still a very nice man and they had a hood EXACTLY the color I needed at a VERY reasonable price. If I m ever in need of parts again, Kevin @Rock City Auto Parts is my first call. I called and was told right away that they had the door I was looking for in exactly the color I needed. I paid and was called the next morning letting me know it was ready. I arrived and was in and out in a matter of minutes. Perfect fit. Thank you!

I came for an alternator. I gave them the wrong engine size (it happens) so the alternator didn t fit. I thought I was out $50 and would have to buy a completely new alternator (the one that actually fit), but the guys at Rock City Auto were very understanding and easily swapped the alternators out. I was very surprised and left very satisfied. 10/10 would recommend to all of my family and friends in need of affordable used auto parts

After a rough day dealing with life's curveballs. I called them up and they gave me a price over the phone and just like they said "if it doesn't work bring it back and we'll give you another one." I had a rough day dealing with LKQ and their ridiculous warranty that you pay top $$$ for and they don't follow through, And on top of it you have to pull the parts yourself. Thank you guys for helping me out and get us back on the road. You had the part pulled for me and ready on the counter waiting for me when I got there. I will be coming back for more parts in the near future. Thank you for all that you do. Keep up the good work! Thanks for helping us veterans out there in need.

I purchased an Audi engine from them; they told me it was compression tested. Ran perfectly for 500mi until piston rings went bad in one cylinder, rendering the entire engine un-usable. I called them, and they told me that "Kevin" would call me to sort things out. I never got a call back, and they had excuses every time on why he hasn't called back. It wasn't till they completely blocked my number; now, when I call it, it sends me to voice mail. Do not do business with them; they will scam you! This has happened to many people before and still now. Scroll down and you will see other similar reviews. Also some reviews to "help" their rating. BEWARE!

They answered the phone, did not put me on hold, got right to my question, let me know they had my part in stock and was the lowest price out of any salvage yard within a 100 MI radius.

Failure to respond to phone calls and emails. Will send damaged unusable items, stating parts are tested and functioning. Review manipulation on ebay. Will supply fake tracking numbers to shipments that don't exist. Shady company. Stay away.

Excellent price on a 2006 F-150 bumper. Included inner brackets, air dam, and fog lights for the same price that other businesses charge just for a shell. Was able to set up an after hours pick up as well.

I own a shop in New Windsor, IL and we took the chance to get an engine from Rock City Auto hoping for the best. Put the engine from Rock City Auto in for one of our customers and it ran, but had a loud type writer noise coming from the camshaft/ top of engine. We called them back, only to get a half sarcastic/grumpy answer on the phone once we described our issue. At first Rock City Auto made it seem like it was up to us to diagnose and fix the issue, when they claimed to stand by a warranty. We refused to repair the engine they sent, as it is money from our pocket and was their responsibility to send an engine that was " running perfectly". They eventually agreed to send us another engine. We wait one week...no phone calls with updates and no engine. We call them---their response is " the engine is being taken out right now-itll be shipped tomorrow". Wait another week....no engine and no phone calls. We called again today and asked for a tracking number for this next engine, they gave us the tracking number and all was well. Check the tracking number and its from our first engine (the bad one). We have now attempted to call back at least 20-25 times and left voicemails with no calls back and no attempts at making the situation correct. Coming from a business owner, I would NOT trust this company to stand by any garbage they sell. They are more scam artists than they are a business. We have a 78 year old woman stranded without a car because of these people, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. ALSO- NO WE DID NOT BUY THIS FROM ROCK AUTO PARTS ONLINE, THIS WAS A USED ENGINE FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.Kevin also made it known he was more concerned with me deleting my review than resolving this issue. Kevin is a narcissist who has no value in customer service as many of the other negative reviews show. He took it upon himself to leave negative reviews on my business..if only Kevin put the effort into actually being a good person he could have a good business!

I'm a newbie with an automatic trans install but figure it's worth the great price to chance it rather than get a new car. After three days of floor jacks, hand tools, and bloody knuckles I had it installed, but it wouldn't shift right. I spoke on the phone with these guys and they immediately offered a return and replacement, but before doing so they walked me through some troubleshooting which had it shifting like a champ. In the end it saved me thousands and I'm on the road again. Highly recommend!

Very good experience. Was able to confirm the part number on the transmission, which was important on this unit as it is being fit into my SVX as an upgrade. Good price, transmission was clean, it was easy to organize pickup. I had an awesome experience with these guys. Thank you very much. Looking forward to putting this transmission in my car.

Very good experience with these people. I wanted to get rid of an older car I had and I worked with Rock City Auto Parts to make it happen. They were prompt, courteous, and very professional. I had no problems whatsoever with them, in fact I was very pleased with them. I highly recommend them. Hopefully I won't have to get rid of another car anytime soon but when I do, I'll give them a call.
