I stopped into Mike's on my way to work because my check engine light came on. I had a busy day, so I was unable to wait. The owner Matt made a point to come and do a visual diagnostic before I left the shop, which left an impression on me. I took my car back a few days later and they were able to replace my turbo very quickly. Not only is this one of the cleanest shops I have ever been in, but the quality of service was unparallel! I highly highly recommend Mike's Auto Service.

We are long-time customers of Mike s Auto and we are just as pleased with the work and service from the new owners as we have always been. They have taken very good care of both of our vehicles, are prompt in calling us with quotes, honest with what needs to be done, and don t perform any unnecessary work. They are professional and also are free to offer advice. And, all is done in a courteous way. It is also a pleasant experience to sit and relax in their very clean waiting room complete with a tv and free snacks. Overall thumbs up!

Great experience. Very polite staff, the waiting room is very clean, well-lit, and overall- very welcoming. They have beverages and snacks to enjoy. They were quick to complete the work. I usually dread taking my car into any shop. This was a very pleasant experience.

I've been a long time customer with Mike's. So I tried the new owner hoping it would still be as good. I brought the truck in for an issue with a hesitation in the acceleration. They couldn't replicate the issue and suggested a tune up and transmission fluid change for $900 and some change total. While the truck needed the service, the problem still remains and happens every time I drive it. It's not that hard to replicate for me. I gave them a shot, but probably won't go back.UPDATE:Matt,I agree, the truck has 210,000 miles on it and I agree that it was brought in to have it fixed so my daughter can safely drive it. I also mentioned that the main reason for bringing it in was to fix the hesitation issue and I did turn down fixing the other issues because the hesitation was my primary concern. You also quoted me over $ 3,500 worth of work - I considered the value of the work vs. the value of the vehicle and decided that wasn't in my best interest.I also agree that you did call multiple times to try and get the vehicle back in - but you are only available between 8-5, which is when everyone else works. I did call you back during my commute, as my day starts before 8 and ends after 5 so trying to get a hold of you while I'm focusing on my job isn't as easy as you calling me back as part of yours. That said, you called to have me get the vehicle back in for the hesitation problem and as you stated, 3 of your mechanics and your state-of-the-art diagnostics computer couldn't find the issue. I'm curious as to what the difference would be this time around.I don't think my review was unfair, I stated that you performed a tune-up and replaced the transmission fluid and that it needed the service. But, this was also your best recommendation as to what might fix the hesitation issue. I don't think that I unfairly paid for what was done you provided the service and I paid for it. But, the fact remains the truck drives no differently than when I brought it to you and unless there is something you missed on the first service, I don't see how spending more money on an additional guess is going to help me or resolve my issue.Also, to be fair, you might want to remove the reviews that were here from when Mike still owned the garage and maybe update your name from Mike's to Matt's.

Did great work. They don t work weekends so I had to extend my stay till Tuesday. I had two issues with them. They charged me for the diagnostic. 125.00. Here in Indiana you get this refunded if you have the same company do the work. They still charged that amount plus all parts and labor. Second I had gotten new floor Matt s for car before the trip and the drivers side is ruined because of greasy shoes. I was a loyal Customer of Mike's Auto for 20+ years and while I was happy for Barb and Mike's retirement news - they both deserve only the best - I wondered how I would live without their advice and good service.Well, I need not wonder any more. I needed new tires and I scheduled an appointment a few days ago for today. When I called, Mallory pulled up my records and set me up right away assuring me that Matt, Jason and his team would be able to do everything I needed, same day, while I waited.True to their word, I drove in at 8am, they took a look, gave me a couple quotes, we made a decision, they ordered the tires and by 1pm I was back for the service call. I was so impressed with the service and care they took to explain everything to me that I will be referring my friends to them for sure (they already have my entire family).As I drove home on my new tires, it felt like I had a brand new car. Thank You Mike's Auto team. Job well done! See you soon.Oh, and by the way, I made an appointment with Matt for next Friday for my son who lives in Milwaukee to get a second opinion on an expensive fix that the Honda dealership in Milwaukee suggested. So happy with the quality of the repair they did, how quick they got me in and out, and the price was way better than the dealer was going to charge. One of the cleanest shops I've been too as well... Both the waiting room and the actual shop floor were pretty spotless. Will definitely return!

Matt and his crew are the best in the business. I have had them work on 3 of my vehicles and each time I bring one in the whole experience is how it should be. They are knowledgeable, professional and never do anything without you, the customers, approval first. Estimates are extremely accurate and I have never been blind sided. One vehicle I had, turns out the head gasket was blown and considering its age and mileage (it was my trusty beater), he even advised against changing it due to the cars low value compared to the cost of repairs. If you need an honest, professional car service center, this is the best place to go for sure. I will never take my vehicles to anyone else. The team at Mike s Auto is rare these days. The employees are all talented in their own field from accounting to diagnostics and repairs. He has fixed our Elantra, Acadia, Ford Edge, Impala and Diesel Silverado and more over the years I m sure I m forgetting. The facility is very clean and the waiting room is super welcoming for when I need to wait for a repair. Mike s Auto is accommodating around my busy schedule!! I went to Mike s Auto Service after a bad experience at my auto dealer. My car had been smelling like burning oil. When I brought it to the auto dealer, they told me nothing was wrong, yet we re quick to charge me their diagnostic fee. My car continued to smell like something was burning, and I was very concerned about it. I contacted Mike s Auto Service for a second opinion and was blown away by the amazing service I got. Mallory, the office manager, was so nice and got me in right away. Matt, the owner, and one of the technicians, brought my car in and immediately diagnosed a big oil leak in my engine! They told me exactly what was needed to repair my car and did not try to upsell me on anything I didn t need (something I feel like always happens when you bring your car in for service somewhere!). I am beyond grateful for their quick and personalized service and expert diagnosis. Thank you, Mike s Auto Service!!

I asked if they accept the my synchrony car care credit card. They said they would call me back, never did. I said that I needed to know before they worked on my car incase i couldn t pay with my credit card for anything that may need to be done outside of the warranty. They never called back. Opened my car up to do nothing even though we recently got an invoice from another shop saying said parts needed replacing. Mind you I was there for a warranty replacement and wasn t supposed to owe anything! I asked if they accepted my credit card on friday, dropped it off sunday, called monday morning before they touched my vehicle again to ask about the credit card clarifying [i cant have them work on the vehicle if they dont accept the card for anything outside of my warranty work.] They never called back both times. The owner said you now owe me labor $$ bc he opened up my car before communicating with me. He said he talked to me but never called me back. Kept calling back my husband. My husband only made the appointment. I had called and deserved to be called back before they opened my vehicle like i requested. They also BROKE my seay bar link and replaced it. So he did nothing but replace what he broke and charged me labor. Terrible customer service. The other tech that previously answered the phone said he has never even done SWAYBAR LINKS and has to rely on his boss/the owner to figure it out. This place is unprofessional in so many ways. Worst customer service ever. Owners should listen to their customers. The owner did nothing but talk over me and say i never told him things that i obviously called trying to communicate. They said they had no answers and said they d call back but both times did not. He was supposed to verify my warranty before touching my car as well but just isn t efficient. I called the warranty company and made the claim bc i was told my warranty was still good. (How else could i have made the claim if i wasnt told the warranty was good!?!) Otherwise i would have gone somewhere else altogether. We didnt hear back from them until 3:30 and we got there by 4:45pm; right before they closed. We paid them but it was just very sketchy. My vehicle was still being put back together when we showed up. We were told $125 and then got charged an additional $8.75 when given the invoice. This owner is the least communicative, understanding, honest and is Just the worst.

Love the way they work with you and really appreciate the fact that they know life and family doesn t stop when your car breaks down it s really hard to find an affordable mechanic that is reliable and not trying to take advantage of you me being a woman they actually listen to what I have to say

BEWARE OF NEW OWNER!!I had used Mikes Auto Service in the past and had a great experience with a couple of minor car repairs and maintenance. When I noticed an oil leak on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler I brought it to get looked at and learned that the business had been sold to Matt. Once my car had been checked out I was given a $688 estimate for the repairs and replacement of Engine Oil Cooler/ Intake Manifold Gasket (lower and upper) and replacement of Serpentine Belt.A few days after repairs were done I phoned Matt to let him know there was still an oil leak. He informed me this was just residual oil and I should call back if car was sill leaking after two weeks. I brought my car back after waiting two weeks to let him know that car was still leaking oil. He checked it out and said the car had not been cleaned thoroughly after repair but now has been cleaned. My car continued to leak oil in the SAME general area. One week later my car would not start so I had it towed to them. I received a $250 estimate for a new battery. I also informed them the oil leak was still present. He replaced the battery and once again "cleaned residual". He apologized for his guys not doing a good clean up before. Two weeks later I was back in for a hose repair this time for $400. At this point I started to get suspicious. I brought my Jeep to the dealership. I called Matt to let him know the problem still seemed to be the original part he replaced and his answer was "he disagreed". The dealership has now replaced the Engine Oil Cooler and no more leak!! I am a single and not a young woman and feel this business has taken advantage of me. In a matter of 2 months I spent $1300 and original problem was never fixed.I gave Matt a chance to make the situation better but he just disagreed...Response to Mikes Auto:Mike's Auto Service I am glad to see how wordy you got trying to save the fact that your business took advantage of me. Even now as I am reading your response I am for the FIRST time hearing about using a part that was not original. Wow! Also, if there was so much oil to be cleaned up you wouldn t have had to clean it two extra times. Now, isn t this sounding like the oil continued to leak was the problem. Again, from reading your response is the first time I m hearing about other leaks which were not found by the dealership. With business owners that treat customers that have trusted you like you treated me we all need best of luck.Response to Mikes Auto:Mikes Auto Service your final invoice states that the head gasket (at the tune of $4000 as in if you had not taken me for enough already) needed replacement. But lucky for me the dealership did not find that the head gasket was leaking oil or ANY other part. Only the engine oil cooler that you had already replaced was still leaking. I am not disappointed with the fact that my car had an oil leak and needed repair. I am 100% disappointed with the work that your shop did and you were not willing to accept that it needed to be re done. Once the dealership replaced the engine oil cooler I had no more leaks.Reviews on these platforms are meant for the public to be able to decide if they want to do business with you or not.

I had my dads van towed on a Friday afternoon. Needed rear brake lines. It was ready Friday night, Matt was still not happy with the brake pressure, so he recommended keeping over weekend for concerns on my dad driving without the pressure. It was a clogged front brake line that he fix and had ready by 10am Monday.VERY HAPPY. I will go back. Thanks Matt!!Service: Auto brake repair

Matt and his staff came through for us when our van broke down due to a transmission failure. From getting the car towed to their location, to "tweaking" miscellaneous issues due to this major repair, to ensuring my husband and I were completely satisfied with the work performed, Matt and his team were excellent...plus they have the absolute best customer service! They checked out the entire vehicle, replaced battery, replaced 2 shocks and rotated tires, and did 'winter safety stuff." Did everything pretty quickly, reasonably priced, nice waiting area, super clean, super nice owner and staff!
