I just moved back to the area, got in town around 8:30 pm on a rainy night, & while trying to get my car off the rented trailer, we realized the brake line had broken. So we took it to Mark's & they got my car off the trailer (without functional brakes) for me so I could return the trailer in time! They gave me an estimate the next day, & since I told them that money is tight right now because I just moved from the east coast & am between jobs, they gave the option for a payment plan (via Snap Finance). When I gave the approval to do the work, they completed it right away & notified me via text. Also while getting my car off the trailer a part got knocked out of place, but the employee took responsibility & when I picked it up, they double checked that it was fixed before I paid. I know I was a challenging customer with everything going on & these guys handled it so well & I'm super grateful!

My heat went out earlier in the week and I was able to make an appointment that same day. Came in for a heat inspection and a diagnostic, it was my first time here as it s conveniently right down the road from me - with these past snowstorms I was unable to go to my usual mechanic. Mark s Auto will definitely be a new option for me! They did such an awesome job with my car, both Dallas and Josh were great with communicating with me. My climate control turned back on after being there overnight and they made sure to check everything was good for me when I left with my car that day. I definitely recommend this location! Good prices, good people, good work.*Especially coming from a young woman where mechanic places can be predatory/scammy, this place is not at all like that. They have good vibes! + a nice waiting room

This shop did an amazing job from beginning to end. The staff was very knowledgeable and they got our vehicle up and running better than ever. This was our first time coming here and we will be back. Highly recommend them.

My grandson took his new/used car in to have it checked out. I have seen them recommended several time on the Nextdoor app. The prices quoted were very reasonable.After further checking they realized the engine had a lot of things wrong and was not worth spending the money. Manager Mike Willis went out of his way to be honest and understanding. In my sixty plus years I have never been to an auto repair place that took so much time ( the mechanic and manager) to let my grandson and I see everything that was wrong with it.I will be going there when I need to and have already recommended Marks Auto to a couple of people.

This was my first time going to Mark s Auto on Alpine. I have went to a different location but this one is now closer to me. Staff were nice and professional. Everything was explained to me clearly. Although, I did not take advantage of it, they also offered a shuttle back home since it was going to take a couple of hours to finish the work. I will be going back here and would definitely recommend.

Great customer service. Dallas from the very beginning help me with my car problems made sure I was well taken care of and was able to get me into a different vehicle while mine was getting worked on. Highly recommended! Great prices! Fast service! Thank you marks auto service of rockford and thank you Dallas. Very satisfied customer! Will be coming back!

I had a bad alternator my car wouldn t start before and after photos. They also pointed another issue my valve cover gaskets I should address they showed me where I could see it in person. They kept me updated with the status through text, I feel they save me money from replacing an engine for a Mercedes Benz. Yes I am very happy with the work done on my vehicle.

Mark's Automotive is a top shelf service provider. When you choose them for service you will receive an electronic update of your issue needing to be taken care of as well as the complete cost. This update is also your ability to deny or accept the work being done. They recently made me aware of information about a class action suit that was not publicly advertised. This info that was shared with me allowed me to avoid thousands of dollars in motor replacement costs and placed the cost with the vehicle manufacturer. Josh is my go to contact at Marks and he is a great asset to Mark's Automotive as well as the many other team members. I recommend Marks Automotive to all my family and friends!!

Quality maintenance on both domestic and foreign brands. Experienced in both Asian and European brands. They pay special attention to customer safety and satisfaction. My van wouldn't start one morning. Marks set up a tow and replaced my alternator plus my drive belt. A week later the van did the same thing. My dad called a tow and was charged more than Marks tow. They replaced the battery. So far so good. Thanks

I brought in my Mazda due to a blown tire. The guys at the shop were extremely knowledgeable and professional and immediately diagnosed what had caused the problem and got to work fixing it. I'll absolutely be going back in the future. If I could give more stars, I would.

I had my car brought in because I needed to replace my brakes and Mark s Auto was very flexible with my schedule to complete the repairs and they were very communicative with the process. Only local shop I'll take my car to. Quick and reliable service that you can trust to be done right the first time everytime. I've dealt with Dallas and he is always friendly and very helpful. I never feel like they're trying to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. Highly recommend!

On 03 November while Enroute to Branson, MO, 12 miles South of Rockford the truck s alternator failed and left us stranded just off I 30 and Hway 72. AAA assisted us on contacting Marks Auto Service. After being towed to Marks our truck was worked on almost immediately. They had an alternator in stock and replacement began immediately. While waiting, we found the waiting room and restrooms very clean. The staff was very attentive to my questions. After repairs we resumed our trip. Several days later we received a text inquiring if we had any problems with the truck and did we arrive safely. I responded no problems and we re having our usual good time. This Was the first time we had ever been contacted by a repair shop for follow up and it was much appreciated. We started our trip from our home in Wisconsin and without Marks responsible to our problem the outcome could have resulted in a very long repair process. Refreshing to know that there are companies like Marks Auto that care that much for their customers.Service: Electrical repair

Called Mark's with an hour left until closing as I was driving on the Interstate through town. The guy who answered was very nice and said that for safety reasons they would absolutely have someone look at it today although they couldn't promise it would be fixed. 10 mind later when I arrived they immediately pulled the car in to look at it. Even knowing that I will not be a long term customer, they still treated me as if I had been coming here forever. With as big as the garage is, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised surprised by their kindness. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area. P.s. while waiting I saw that they will match any competitors estimate and the tore a they sell basically at cost. I wish I lived in the area because I would definitely be coming here for everything!

A heat shield had fallen and was hanging underneath my car. I called Mark's in the morning and brought it in after work. Within an hour they had reattached it back in where it's supposed to be, and had noticed my tires were low so filled those for me. Above all, I was thrilled when he told me there was no charge. I'm very happy!!

I had a lot of suspension work that needed to be done on my car. I knew by word of mouth that Marks would be the best place to go. I ended up going back a few times to get the work done due to some faulty parts that needed replacing. Dallas was very informative and easy to talk to. Being a female sometimes auto shops can be intimidating. Dallas worked with me and stayed on top of what my car needed and how to lay out what needed to be fixed first vs what could wait.

My gas tank was leaking due to corrosion. Mark s was able to get it in for an immediate inspection. The tank was replaced the same day they received the tank. Very quick turnaround. Scope of work was laid out and priced prior to the work being done. Very satisfied with the way the entire service was handled. I will continue to use Mark s for all my cars service needs.

This is a GREAT auto repair shop. Ive had brake changes, oil changes, a changed alternator, and a handful of other work done by them. They are a trifecta of friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. I don't know much about other shops, but I dont need to. These guys are where I take my vehicles.

Marks rocks!! I went to here after being treated rudely by another local garage (who shall not be mentioned!). What a difference it was at Mark's! They are extremely organized & professional. They got me in right away, took me home, brought me back and did it all with a smile. My only issue is that they promised me a coupon but forgot at checkout. :( Overall, though, I think they were great and will definitely be back if I'm in the Rockford area! (They said I can use the coupon for another visit & I will definitely use if I return!)Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

I can not speak enough positive things about Marks Auto. The people I have spoken to have been wonderful and Tad goes above and beyond to make sure the work is done to the highest of quality. I was able to get it towed, had a rental for the needed time period, shuttle service, texts throughout, and a price breakdown between costs and labor. (With the ability to price match)They even suggested cost-effective products to reduce the bill. After a week or so the problem with my alternator (and other things that happened because of how the car was repaired and built back together) was still causing problems and they had it re-serviced to ensure the quality was done properly. Again, they are wonderful people with quality service. I have found my car guys.

This place is WONDERFUL! I am a disabled person who lives on a limited income and they helped me in getting me not only in getting my 21 yr old carTOWED AND REPAIRED properly, but did it in less than 2 days so I would have it for medical purposes to use!! Then, they gave me a ride to pick up my car and BLESSED ME with a HUGE SURPRISE!! I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL!! I can never begin to tell you HOW MUCH these folks have BLESSED MY LIFE in all they have done for me. I now have a SOUND, SAFE,HEATED CAR TO DRIVE!! THAT HAS 2 WIPERS NOT JUST 1!! THEY ARE LIVING ANGELS AMONG US...IF YOU TAKE YOUR REPAIR NEEDS ELSEWHERE, YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE!! Please let Mike and his crew do the repairs for you... trust and believe me, you will NOT BE GOING WRONG..AMAZING PEOPLE WHO CARE!!
