A big shout out to Tim and his team at Hytech Automotive.I took my vehicle thinking it would need a motor swap which would cost thousands of dollars. Tim said he wanted to tear into the motor and look at it first.Turns out the damages were not as excessive as I thought, they made the repairs and he saved me thousands of dollars. Thanks again Tim and kudos to your team.

Tim and his team have done great work for me over the years. Including very complex jobs, clutch, resealing my engine, and replacing an engine on an older vehicle I had. He's always been very fair and reasonable. Thanks Tim!!

We have been taking our cars to the team at Hy Tech for years and have always been 100% satisfied with their service and affordable prices. You will not find a better or more honest group of mechanics in the area. Tim, Corey & team are the BEST!! We highly recommend them!

My experience, without a doubt, has been absolutely wonderful... I've found that you don't have to go to a big dealership to get the exact same quality of workmanship and service. They are friendly, courteous and fair in their pricing. My vehicle needed front wheel bearings on both sides. Dealership $500 per side, Hytech $200 per side. So you do the math, $1000 versus $400.... Yeah my thoughts exactly...

We were on our way to Galena for a family ski trip when our car broke down. The guys at Hytec were quick to diagnose the problem and fix the problem while we waited in about an hour. They were great to work with and very professional. We would highly recommend their service. Wish we had a reliable mechanic like this back home.

Since the 1st time I dropped off my Honda CRV they have been nothing but professional & informative. The waiting area has great ambiance. 1st time I been to a mechanic shop and was Not scared to use the bathroom. Now I have a GMC car and they have taken great care of him. I can't wait to drop of my '93 F150 to them in the summer and see the magic they perform on him.

This mechanic shop is a blessing I have a Range Rover after towing my RANGE to shop after shop (3) the SHOP behind Don Carter referred me to HYTECH. I called in advance to request an estimate to confirm availability since I had to travel for most three hours to get to this location. They agreed. Employees started two arguments, despite my calling in advance, to confirm that they would be able to do an estimate. (I did not demand it be fixed immediately)

Great place to get work done on all models, new and old . All work is done in a timely fashion. Prices depend on job and parts. Have had work there in the past. My kid is hard on her 4x4 jeep and has been there way more and is always pleased with the outcome and is happy to be back on the road fast. The staff and owner are always friendly and knowledgeable. Its nice to have a place go above and bbeyond. I thank them for everything they have done for us.

Tim installed an AC system on my beater 2002 honda civic DX stock last summer. I called pretty much all service centers and was told that he was the only one they know that does it in the area. The guy could have asked pretty much whatever he wants and I would have paid it since he's the only that can do it but no. He quoted me a very reasonable price (200 I think) and completed the install like a dream. Tim is a stand up guy, will go out on a limb when I say the best and last real honest car mechanic in Rockford.

I came into today with some overheating issues and Cory was fantastic to deal with! They had my oil changed, coolant/antifreeze checked and topped off, and back on the road in 20 mintues! They were extremly helpful and know that any car repairs in the future will be done honestly and at a very fair price. By the way, all of that was only $25I just moved into the area and it can be hard to find car repair you can trust. I would recommend these guys to anyone! Locations looks a little sketchy, but do not judge on apperances.

We have used Hy-Tech multiple times to service our fleet vehicles in Rockford, although our main office is in California, we can trust Tim and his grew to get the jobs done quickly and at a reasonable rate.
