My family has been going to Gottman's Auto Service for years. They are through about checking our cars and letting us know what needs to be done. I've been looking into purchasing a used Subaru. Gottman's was willing to check the vehicle before I decided to buy. I had 2 Subarus that I wanted them to check out before making a decision. I was so impressed how thorough Matt was when he inspected both vehicles. We appreciated his honesty. I'm now a proud owner of a Subaru. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Gottman's.

These guys are pretty good. I just had some work done and they communicated very thoroughly about what needed to be done and why. They kept me updated while on how things were going with the car and the service was done in a reasonable amount of time.

Gottman's has been my families go-to shop for all 4 of the cars we've had in the last roughly 5 years. Always quick, always cheap, and most importantly always honest.

this plc is the BEST plc, in Rockford. if u need an oil change or any wrk done on ur car, this is the BEST plc 2 go.. the whole crew here is super nice & friendly, & thy try 2 give u the lowest prices possible, thy call around looking & on line 2 see wht would b best for u & ur situation.. I WOULD TELL EVERYBODY 2 GO HERE.,

They are my go to shop and recommend them to all my friends and family. They do great work and are honest about what your car needs to have repaired at a reasonable cost. They have done many repairs on all my cars and my family's and never have been disappointed by their work or felt like it was over charged.

Tough to get an appointment because they're booked out so far. We were looking for a new mechanic and decided to try these folks based on the reviews and the fact they're close by. They solved the immediate problem and found some other serious issues that are going to take a while to sort out but they are working with us to get it done. So far I'm impressed with the level of customer service and rates seem reasonable. I'll probably upgrade to 5 stars if things continue to go well.

Followed (mechanic) Steve from a previous shop some 20 years ago after he moved to Gottman's. As I understand, he moved because new owners at the previous shop were not honestly talking care of their customers. As a rural mail carrier using my own vehicle, I have relied on owner Joe, Matt, Steve, and all to keep me on the road through numerous issues. Never disappointed over the last 20 years. The owner and staff are honest in all things that they do. They run their automotive repair shop with absolute integrity, and all of them are great people. I have been bringing my vehicles to them for 20 years, and the job has always been done right, and they have always gone the extra mile. You Get What You Pay For is the age old adage that many of us have come to live by. I recently switched to Gottman's after receiving MULTIPLE referrals from people I trust, one of whom is a retired mechanic himself who will ONLY take his cars to Gottman's. So, naturally, my expectations were a little on the high side. Well, I was NOT disappointed. Their whole operation smacks of integrity, quality, and genuine care about the 'health' of the vehicles they work on. Their prices are quite fair, too. They are always professional and respectful, and always responsive. As a single female, they (Matt and Joe) do not talk down to me, they are NEVER pushy, and are always willing to listen carefully as I fumble around sometimes in trying to explain (in my car-mechanics-are-like-a-foreign-language-to-me way) what my car "symptoms" are. They are so good about then taking time to explain what they think is needed, including any options there may be, plus the pos and cons of each. They are quickly earning my lifetime loyalty. Thankful to find them!

This was the first time I have taken my car to Gottman's. They were very polite and professional. They where honest and fair and I got my car back to me quickly. I had a great experience with them and will take my car to them again when need.

I met Joe shortly after moving to Rockford because he had worked on my now wife's family's vehicles for years. I can see why they have stuck by him for so long. He and his staff always do excellent work and they are very polite and accommodating. 10 *'s

I trust them is the best compliment one can give a mechanic. I fully trust Gottman's as they are honest AND they know what they are doing. Often, car repair shops half know what they are doing and they are not very trustworthy.

Have handled off they have done all the work on my vehicle and it is a older model and they take care of it true Professionals and find the parts even though they're very hard to find and locate. Recomend that anyone is looking for good mechanics and very professional to go here
