Not the first place we brought our cars when we first moved here but definitely will be the last! Very knowledgeable and their staff from front desk to mechanics are amazing! Even helped my 17 yr old son in an emergency when he got a new car and we didn t realize his gas tank door didn t open with the lever. (He was running on E) They should him how to open it from the trunk. Then continued to show him things about his car so he could be more independent. They took the time out of their day to help my son and did it out of the kindness of their hearts. Will always bring the cars we have now and our future cars there!!

I was looking for a new shop to service my vehicles as my previous mechanic was giving poor service and below average quality workmanship. I had heard of Butitta and decided to give them a try. My 2018 Silverado needed brakes and an oil change. Butitta gave me outstanding personable service, good workmanship at a fair price. Exactly what I was looking for in a mechanic. Took my wife's 2004 SUV in for an oil change. Same outstanding service, good workmanship and a very good price. Butitta is now my service shop for my vehicles. Thanks out to Bill, Nate and Brent for your great communications and service !

I have been getting my vehicles serviced regularly by Buttita Auto in Rockford on Mill Road for several years now. Their scheduling is flexible, their prices are much more competitive than the dealerships, and their work has always been top notch. Recently I had a tire that needed attention and they got me in very quickly and resolved my issue in minutes, which allowed me to get right back on the road instead of spending the day (or worse) at the tire shop or dealership. They are always friendly and helpful, and for an auto repair shop their waiting room is not bad either, and they offer free WiFi (which actually works) to boot. If you are looking for a good auto repair resource at a fair price, I highly recommend you give them a try.

I called the get both of my headlights replaced and they were booked out for a week. That didn t work with my schedule, but they offered to have me drop my car off for a few hours and they d try to squeeze it in. It was done shortly after i dropped it off. This was my second time taking my car here and they ve been great both times.

Bill has a great crew. Every time I go in they are always helpful and answer all my questions. This last oil change I talked to Brent about a new vehicle. He was honest and gave good advice. These mechanics are competent but will push work on you in order to rack up the bill. If you think something does not need to be done (in addition to what you have asked to be done if what you have asked to be done is not expensive) you really need to strongly insist. I have no doubts about their competence, I am concerned about their business ethics. I was surprised by this too because their reviews were very good. We ve been going here for years because we trust what Bill and Brent tell us. They are honest and are willing to tell us when a repair doesn t make sense or we need to do extra work. They have helped add to the life of our vehicles.

Bill is the manager of the Mill Rd. Rockford location and he is a great guy. This friendly professional automotive shop is a rare find. The 2 auto techs (Ben and Dave) that worked on my 2 vehicles were excellent. I couldn t be more appreciative. My experience using Butitta Brothers was great. And I don t say that lightly. We were made to feel that we would be taken care of in the best possible way, and we were. If there was a way to give more stars I would. I started using them when I needed suspension done on my Ram Rebel, converting it from an unreliable factory air to a more traditional shock/strut system.I called Bill when asking for advice on buying used vehicle(s) and he took time to have a conversation regarding what I should or shouldn t do.Fast forward to now and I had some issues with my current truck. I scheduled an appointment online for the first day I thought I could get it there but managed to get it dropped off a day early. Not only was Bill upfront about what he thought might be the issue, he shared other customers experiences with the same issue (same motor) and walked me through different scenarios.The next day I got a call from Bill saying what we thought was the issue actually was the issue. I agreed to move ahead with the repairs after being told it d be done the next day. A few hours later I got a call saying it d be done that afternoon and I could pick it up. Unfortunately I didn t have a sufficient mode of transportation that day as my wife works and I don t own a horse so I asked if it d be possible for them to drop it off. Now, if you re reading this I wouldn t expect this courtesy all the time, but I live close and it s free to ask. He agreed and would let me know when they were on their way. I cannot say enough how happy I am with this shop.If you ve read this far you might as well finish it out Everyone knows getting work done on a vehicle can be stressful from the standpoint of losing a mode of transportation, the cost or even wondering if they re being honest. Something I noticed was that they were excited to show me the old parts and how bad they were. I ve been to shops that told me how bad something was but refused to show me. I got the impression that helping someone out is part of the payment for this shop versus just monetary compensation. If only elected officials did the same If you read my others reviews you ll see that I am critical on lackluster businesses but when someone does good or above and beyond I try to put it out there so others can have a good experience as well.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Auto maintenance, Oil change

This was last year:Butitta secured a piece inside my front bumper that was pulled away by a low concrete parking lot barrier when I backed up. They got me in right away and performed the simple repair at no charge. So I took my vehicle back for an oil change, when they noticed a problem with one of my tires as well. They were able to get a new tire the next day, which I appreciated since I was traveling later in the week. Work was done professionally by friendly staff, at charges lower than I have paid other repair shops. Could not be happier!Back for regular maintenance and once again, a great experience!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

One of the absolute best repair shops on the planet. Bill is honest, makes sure you understand everything, and will not overcharge you or push you for services you don't need. He was able to quickly help out my daughter with some engine diagnostics, and they've also done a great brake repair job for us in the past. The entire team is well trained and does spectacular work. This is an outstanding mechanic shop. I am so glad we have found a set of mechanics that treats us like family. They always say their priority is that our vehicle is safe. From the moment I walk in Bill and staff are welcoming me back and seeing how they can answer my questions.I can't imagine going anywhere else. After meeting other clients I can see why they have been bringing their vehicles to Butitta Brother's on Mill Road for years. Excellent service! I couldn t ask for anything better! They were kind, efficient, reasonable, and honest. I received pictures of the areas of the car that needed fixing. They double checked with me before doing any work. The car was not holding any oil and it was just an oil switch. They did not try to get me to fix anything else and I felt that the charge was very appropriate for the job. I will definitely use them again in the future.Service: Engine repair

The team at the Rockford S Mill Rd store went above and beyond to get my 17 year old 4 runner riding like new. Working with me, they were able to find a solution to a long standing suspension issue that other shops were unable to correct. They made sure I was satisfied with the repair upon pickup. "If" there is a better place to bring your auto for service or repair I certainly don't know of the place. Butitta Auto my most trusted and priced right repair I've found. Always a great experience. All four tires needed to be replaced. They gave me three different options, brands, prices, mileage in order to feel educated on choices. I dropped off my car and with in a couple of hours they were all finished and called to inform me to pick up. I feel like I have a friend in the business with Butitta East. Spun out on the highway near Rockford and found Butitta on Google. They were helpful over the phone, organized a tow truck for us, and were able to get my car in right away. Bill was so communicative throughout the inspection process, and he clearly explained what was going on, made recommendations based on safety first and general maintenance second, and was extremely friendly while doing so.
