Tony and all the people at Bove's were great to work with. They diagnosed the issue with my truck immediately, and worked with me to find a repair that made sense both financially and in regards to the life of the truck. Any questions or concerns that I had, Tony answered immediately. I feel very confident in the work that was done on my truck, and would recommend Bove's to anybody!

Over many years I've taken my cars to many repair shops. Some were pretty darn good, some started good but got worse with every visit, some charged low rates but weren't so good (or worse!) and others were atrocious: incompetent and/or downright crooked. Then I tried Bove's. I've been with them now since 2020, and I won't even think of going anywhere else now. This is the most dependable, professional, honest and qualified repair shop I've found in over half a century. And that's no jive!

My wife first started using Bove's Auto Repair because she is very busy and runs a Local Business here in Rockford, IL., and they actually came to her store, picked up her vehicle, took it back to their shop and did their magic, & then delivered/dropped it back off at her store Before she was even ready to go home for the day. All as a FREE courtesy service! (Of course we payed for the work they did). Who does that?? Then, we just resently "Broke down" (vehicle wouldn't start because of bad alternator), and we had it towed straight to Bove's while they were closed on a Sunday after hours. The Tow truck driver simply left the key to the vehicle in their night "drop box". And first thing Monday morning, I call to check and make sure they were aware of why the vehicle was there, and sure enough, they had already pulled it into their shop and were already working on it! Mel is a Delight to talk to on the phone and was very helpful.They got it fixed in a reasonable amount of time (they had to wait for new parts to be delivered) and at a reasonable price. It was back running good as new by early afternoon that same day. Tony and the Team take pride in what they do, and do a great job of it. We took our vehicle into Boves for the first time, and we had a great experience. Boves let us know what was wrong and then suggested several options we could take. We have already recommended Boves to several of our friends. We will be back!

I usually don't write reviews but this is hands down the best auto repair shop in Rockford. Tony came highly recommended by a trusted friend that takes all their vehicles to them and I couldn't agree more. They have worked on my car twice now. They are always really quick with diagnosing the issue and are always willing to work with you to help you save some money. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vehicles.

Literally would not go anywhere else but here in the Greater Rockford Area. Seriously.Tony and his team ensure not only industrial and commercial customers are taken care of but also residential. I have taken my care for inspections prior to buying a vehicle and make the effort to schedule it with them.I have kept my car in top shape by working on my car and having them do other things I can't. Glad I took a chance on this place, highly recommend.

This is my go to place for my car. They do awesome work and they treat their customers the best! I can't wait to go back to get my car cared for by such a good group of people. They have great prices and are honest with you. They even pick you up and drop you off. I can t say enough good things about Tony and his team. I ve been going to him for the last two years, and now would not take my car anywhere else. They take care of you like family. He has answered my emails while hiking on vacation as well as at 10 pm. Fair and honest prices, and they do great work. My car is too low to get alignment done at his shop, so he even took it somewhere else for me to get it done while I was getting other things taken care of at his shop. Once again, I can t recommend him highly enough. I m so glad to have found Bove s after moving to the area.

I went to Bove's for a prepurchase inspection for a used car I was interested in. WOW is all I can say. The service was excellent. Very thorough inspection report along with supporting pictures allowed me to negotiate a great deal with the owner. The service was $110 (great price) and easily netted me $500 in value during negotiations. 400% return on investment that only took an hour of my time. Can't recommend this team and shop more! Thank you so much!

My vehicle was towed to Bove's Automotive on 1/30/23 and the major repairs were fixed with additional items I wanted done in 1 day! I am so impressed with Tony and his business, I feel like I won the lottery. Many auto repair places take advantage of women and charge way more and find all sorts of other problems that may or may not need to be fixed. Not only is Tony one of the nicest people I ve dealt with, but he is very patient and explains everything in a way I can understand and does only the work that it needs and prices are very fair. They pick up and deliver my car also which is a big help. I trust Tony completely and my vehicle will never go anyplace else. I would give anyone a recommendation for this shop. Fast response, fast repairs and reasonably priced!Everyone was super friendly right down to the man who picked me up to go get my vehicle when it was ready for pickup.Can't say enough good things about Tony and his crew at Boves'. Finally found a reliable shop I can trust!!

Only shop in Rockford I actually trust to do real work on my cars. Most other places don't really seem to problem solve. These guys will show you pictures and communicate with you, period. That's 100% more than most will ever do. They will also not just simply replace things and see, like too many shops do. Honest and knowledgeable family owned shop.

If I could give 10 stars to Bove s auto, I would! Never in my life have I experienced such amazing & honest auto service! Tony has been absolutely outstanding to deal with! We had antifreeze leakage from our daughter s Jeep. Bove s did some work & everything seemed to work fine. Until the following day we noticed that antifreeze was leaking again. Bove s auto worked on it again. And it leaked antifreeze for the third time. Bove s auto came all the way to our house & picked up our vehicle, left us a car to drive & took time to really figure out what was actually wrong. After 3 days at the shop, Tony s workers replaced water pump, which seemed to fix the problem. They brought our Jeep back & never charged us anything extra. We couldn t believe it! And just extremely thankful for such honest & hard work. In this day & time businesses like Bove s are so hard to find! This one is truly a gem! Thank you, Tony & your crew! We appreciate everything you ve done!

Been going to Bove's for years. They are family! They do FANTASTIC work and they are not over priced. I am pleased to have them work on my vehicles. I wouldn't change shops for the world! Best in Rockford! Keep up the FANTASTIC work everyone!

Tony and the guys at Boves Auto Repair are the best! I had to get some extensive work done on my car and mentioned I had to go to a concert later that week. They worked hard and had my car ready so I could go to Lollapalooza when I needed my car back. Even a little earlier than expected! As a woman, it's hard to find a good repair shop that isn't trying to rip you off. These guys are fast, friendly, and reasonable!

Great service up front. Friendly, honest, and fast. We just wanted something specific done, they only did what we asked. Pricing is very reasonable. If i need any car work i can't do myself ill be taking my car here. Its hard to find good help these days.

Bove's is a very professional auto repair shop. The work they do here is excellent. Good mechanics that get the job done right the first time. I have had exhaust work, brakes, rotors, wheel bearings, air cond, tires...all done to safely.

Other than great people and service, going to Bove's is like in the scene from Goodfellas where they walk through the kitchen and getting a table upfront. Great, nice people. Truck broke down on a Saturday night and I had it towed to Boves. I mistakenly set an appointment to get it fixed for Tuesday morning instead of Monday. When I called Monday morning to see if I could get an earlier time, Tony told me they were already working on it, 24 hours before my set time. Not only did he get right to work on my truck, but he also didn't charge me an arm and a leg for it. He had it up and running by Monday afternoon. I cannot say enough good things about my experience there.

Took my buick here and got some bad news. But they tell you what u need to prepare for if you should or shouldn't drive your vehicle. Very informational. Everyone I spoke with was nice and friendly. Not to mention my car rides excellent now. 700.00 dollars later. Thanks Boves. See ya soon for that last job!!

Took my car in, made noise when I turnedThought it was the tie rods that went bad. These people are very honest and reliable. You can always be assured that they do a good job! They also are very friendly. By the way, it wasn't the tie rods, it was something simple.
