My mom recently used auto body specialists for her Cadillac that was scratched up by my cousin with a toy car. I bought a brand new vehicle that was hit in my driveway less than 2 months after I purchased it. I told my mom and she insisted Auto Body Specialists were the best. I set up my appointment, they looked at my car and sent out a quote to insurance immediately. They called me to schedule a time to get my car in quickly, and told me it would be about 3 weeks of repair. To my surprise, they were done with my car in 9 days and called me on December 30th so I could pick it up before the holiday. I couldn t believe it. I think they did an incredible job, my car looks as good as new and they also wiped down my interior. Awesome job Auto Body Specialists. I will definitely be back and will be telling everyone I can about you guys!!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Great service from estimate to completed repairs. Kept me informed of progress and parts delivery. Went above and beyond for my pinstripe. Detailed vehicle inside and out prior to returning it to me. Excellent.

Had several vehicles through their shop over the years. Every time, the vehicle comes back looking new. Even looking under the hood or behind panels, you would never know the vehicle had body work done. True professionals in every sense - wouldn t take a car anywhere else. If I could give these guys more stars, I would! Without getting into too much detail, I was having a unique problem with my truck. Whenever it would rain I'd get a prodigious amount of water on the floor on the passenger side. I dismantled that side of my trucks interior looking for the ingress with no luck. A friend recommended ABS so I thought I'd give them a try. I couldn't have made a better decision for this! I dropped it off in the morning around 8:15AM, and I got a call at 2PM that they were done and had the issue resolved. I immediately went to pick it up. Not only had they found and fixed the problem (drain tube separated from moon roof) they also completely reassembled everything I had taken apart and washed it! And, the cost was very fair!! I can't recommend these folks enough - friendly, competent, and fair!!

I walked into auto body specialist today thinking that I was going to need to get my car door repainted. I asked to speak to Phil whom I was referred to and he got me in right away to get a quote. After looking at the scratch on my door he suggested we try buffing it out, He said if I wasn t happy with the buff we would get to the quote for repainting the door. TYZN buffed out my car door at that point I could still see just a faint scratch so he took it back in and buffed it some more. My car looks brand new and Phil and TYZN saved me a lot of money that I expected to have to pay today. It is extremely refreshing to find a business that is so honest with its customers! I am extremely happy that I was referred to auto body specialist and I wish that I could give more than a five star review. Thank you so much Phil and TYXN! I promise to be back in the future. I was unable to bring my vehicle in during operating hours so I was told to bring in the car and drop off the keys and they would take a look at it later and give me an estimate. Well apparently the work that I need done doesn't cost enough for them to prioritize so they gave me a 2 month time frame to get my vehicle fixed. Other places I talk to can get the work done in a couple of days. It is September and they told me the earliest they would be able to get my body work done would be November. Apparently my body work won't generate enough profit to have it completed in a timely manner, so I'm told to find someone else to do it or wait months. This is something that could & should have been expressed to me before I dropped my car off 25 minutes away from my house.Service: Body & Trim

They took care of us well. We needed the paint on our door fixed. They did a great job on that and when we picked up the truck, it was beautifully cleaned inside and out. It was such a nice surprise.Service: PaintingService: Painting

A while ago ABS was extremely helpful during a car emergency situation which left me stranded very far from home. They gave an estimate and provided storage for my car for several days, free of charge. They were very polite and attentive even though I did not end up being a paying customer.

My 2016 Toyota Rav 4 was rear ended and I chose this shop due to rave reviews from the owner of the company I work for and her parents. They normally bring higher end vehicles in, so I was a little skeptical. However, right from the beginning, everyone at ABS was nothing short of professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I mainly worked with Julie and Bob Futrell but everyone I met was top notch. I trusted them 100% and they didn't try to sell me on anything extra. I damaged my car myself earlier this year by backing into my garage and Bob called asking if I wanted to add paint to that and when I said no, that's okay there was no push which I appreciated. My car feels brand new again! I will recommend them to all my family and friends.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

ABS has helped us bring our cars back to pre-accident condition. Their craftsmanship is beyond reproach and I am an extremely fussy customer. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially with a not very sympathetic insurance adjuster! We took our bmw to ABS company to have it fixed after my wife got side swiped and a friend of mine recommended them. After almost a month we went to pick up the car and as soon as we got it I looked around to see how they fixed it and i noticed right away that they didn't install the fender and the front bumper back on the car properly there was a lot of gaps, i told them about it so we had to wait another hour to get it back in the shop and fix it. After getting it back i noticed there were other small things like some of the trims and fender screws missing and some swirls on the paint where they repainted it and over buffed it.The latest issues we have found a few years later because my wife never used it was the fact that their have broke the wire harness to the fog light that was in the number.Very disappointed and i know they are a good company and do a good job but i feel like with us they messed up pretty badly fixing a 40k car.

The folks at Auto Body Specialists were very helpful in repairing my vehicle and making the most of my experience. In addition to meeting a very friendly staff I found myself in a warm (literally and figuratively it was -20 outside, but their office was warm!) environment that was very inviting. Phil was sincere regarding the cost/estimate and did not attempt to conceal anything from me. He even put me in touch with some car rental folks so I had something to drive. It s not often that I encounter this level of attention to detail concerning the public relations dynamic during the course of business. Some shops I ve used in the past have just wanted to do the work and get me out the door. These professionals were more interested in building a positive relationship with me, and that is something I will never forget.It was a pleasure working with Todd, Phil, and Drew. They were able to order the parts I needed and install them in less than three days. My car looked brand new when I picked it up. In addition to being repaired and painted, it was completely detailed. Even more surprising was that all this was done under the initial estimate I was given. I will be using Auto Body Specialists again in the future; because I m convinced they are the best in Rockford if not Northern Illinois in terms of talent and fostering an environment where people feel welcome.

My Granddaughter 2007 Honda Civic was in an accident 3 weeks ago. Because it has over 240,000 miles, I wasn't going through my insurance, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on repair. Auto Body Specialists (Chris) took ownership, and searched for parts to get my granddaughter car back on the road and in a safe condition. They not only did an outstanding job again (I take my car's there all the time when in need of repair), but they fixed it ahead of schedule. When we saw her car after repair, it looked like a brand-new car (my granddaughter was almost in tears of joy), and the repair cost was incredibly less than I thought it was going to be. Thanks a million Chris, you were outstanding. I would recommend Auto Body Specialists to anyone.Service: Body & Trim

They were extremely rude and disrespectful in 2014; I was told those ppl are gone, but look at what they want to re-repair! You cannot repair rust it will come back. Beware; as Napleton Auto recommended them too so did State Farm; so there you have it!

Auto Body Specialists are great! This is the second time we've had to use them to repair damage to our vehicle. Each time they made the process very easy, continually updated us on the status and worked seamlessly with our insurance company to make sure we had nothing to deal with other than pay our deductible! Everyone is very professional, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough about Bob at Autobody Specialists. My wife was out of town and got into an accident and these folks helped us in so many ways. Bob made sure my family was safe, referred us to several local places, and was genuinely a nice guy. Only reason they didn't do the work is because the car was transported to our hometown. Would use them if I was local in a heartbeat.

I've been to ABS several times over the past 4+ months since purchasing a new vehicle, and having not only received immense professional courtesy, but something many may overlook: interaction with down to earth people.After applying a custom protective paint wrap in which Nick applied admirably, he was able to identify some mismanaged corrective work my vehicle's authorized service - NOT ABS - performed. Very open about his findings and approach to resolve the paint problem, ironically enough.In my experience these are communicative, understanding, honest individuals looking to provide the best service possible, and for reputable prices. With a keen eye for detail, the people at ABS will treat you right if you give them the chance.

I had my car in for ceramic coating but had mentioned to Phil that my Jeep still needed a tow package. He listened to my needs and offered to investigate. This shop is certified by Chrysler and Phil and team obtained and installed my tow package within the same 48 hours my ceramic coating was being applied!Friendly staff all the way around!Highly recommend!Thank you Phil and staff!

I called last week for an inquiry on removing a fake hood scoop that the previous owners had put on. The women on the phone just said stop on by and see what they can do. I went in today and had a very nice gentleman come out take a look and said they could remove it. They fit me in and it only took 30 minutes. Great customer service and great detail! I would recommend this place for sure and I will be coming back for any other issues.Service: Body & Trim

If not the best in Rockford, they must be close. They have repaired 2 vehicles for me- one older collectible (21 years old) and one newer. Both came back looking like new. Beautiful paint match and absolutely perfect body work. We couldn t get in right away, but it was because they were very busy with other jobs. If I could get right in, I would be very skeptical. Kind of like a good restaurant if you can get right in, the food probably isn t that great! The help is very professional, the facility is immaculately clean and we were given a quote in 24 hours. I highly recommend this shop.

I went there for an estimate on my car. Carlos was very thorough. I haven't had the work done as I'm waiting for the insurance adjuster. I was pleased with the professionalism in which he talked to me about things that could go wrong during removal of moldings and parts on the vehicle. I will more than likely have them fix it once I hear from insurance.

I would highly recommend Auto Body Specialists! My experience with ABS was hassle free - they dealt directly with the insurance company and performed the repairs on a schedule that worked for me. The door on my Subaru Forester was perfectly repaired and, when I picked it up, I was thrilled to find a sparkling clean interior as well...it was like getting into a new car.
