Amazing service at Douglas. Shaun was amazing and the price was as quoted. I brought in my 2016 Ram after receiving a bad diagnosis from Chrysler. Going to Douglas to fix what was wrong rather than spending thousands on what was actually working. Bravo. Truck runs great, it was finished as promised at the right price. Thank you again for the ride back home when I dropped the car off. Great service and we will be back.

I can't recommend Douglas Automotive highly enough! I use them for all my vehicles, both regular maintenance and unexpected issues that arise. Douglas Auto has proven to definitely be the place for our car service and repairs! Service Advisor Dave was able to conveniently and congenially schedule work on our two cars. The estimated cost for new brakes and oil changes was fair and right to the penny.Based on both our most recent visit and prior experiences, the repairs/service work is done in a very professional manner.

Continue to have excellent service at Douglas Auto - Fox River Grove. I purchased a used vehicle a couple of years ago and Douglas Auto has been great with identifying the issue(s) and repairing. They also provide great Customer Service. They are easy to work with and stand behind their work. Could not ask for anything better. If you are looking to have your car serviced, I would recommend them.

Douglas Auto Body was fantastic. They went above and beyond to assist us with 3 used car issues. They were knowledgeable, helpful, and took care of us from start to finish. They are a terrific group of guys and will take great care of your car. We trust them with our vehicles.

We have been using Douglas for about 3 years now and very pleased with their services. They offer to drive you home or pick you up to go get your car. Always give you an accurate estimate before work is done without any surprises at the end and car is always in and out the same day no matter the issue. The guys who work there are always very friendly and go out of their way to help the client. I highly recommend.

Douglas is always 5 stars for us! Friendly and quick as well as consistent, easy communication! Car maintenance is always expensive so we value these other qualities with that! Quotes are always given and they go above to make scheduling convenient.

The simplest way to start this review is to sum up what you are about to read in one sentence : "When you're in a bind, Douglas Auto comes through."I have been using Douglas Auto for a few years now. What started out as a new place I chose for an oil change quickly became my primary auto repair choice.When my car all of a sudden loss most of its acceleration power, I limped it to Douglas Auto, as they were the closest shop I have used to where I was. The service writers and techs kept me notified of the situation with photographs, and gave honest and fair recommendations of repair. The repair was completed in a timely fashion.Fast forward to a recent cold snap and having the same car not starting in my driveway. I called around on to shops I had been to see who could look into the car's battery and see if anything else was going on. I started out with shops near where I was. Some said they had no way to even look at it that day, some I had used before didn't even answer the phone. When I called Douglas Auto, they answered, said no problem they could at least look at it that day and diagnose the situation. They held true to their word and did and found two systems (fuel pump electric failure and a dead battery) to be causing the situation. They kept me appraised of the repair timeline and what was going on. I was completely aware of the situation and was comfortable with them working on the car.There is a reason why my primary auto repair should is 14 miles away from my home. It's because it's Douglas Auto, and "when you're in a bind, Douglas Auto comes through."

Excellent!!! I was in town for the holidays when my car starting making weird noises, brought it in and they were able to fix the issue and more on short notice and i was able to get back on the road the same day. Really awesome people and fair, honest prices. Also the waiting room is very nice. Free coffee and drinks is a nice touch :) Highly recommend!!!

It is such a relief to find an auto mechanic shop that understands exactly my goals and needs. As I drive a legacy 2000 Honda Accord with 230k miles, they comprehend the balance needed to keep it running without needless repairs. They follow-up with me, sometimes even months later, to make sure I m happy with the outcome and to maintain a good customer relationship. This is how it s supposed to be!

I ve been looking for an auto shop in the area and have found the one! My car had some oil leakage and I drove to Douglas Auto to have them take a look when they had some time. They got my car in the same day, fixed the issue and I had the car back by end of day. They were friendly, communicative and professional. Nice to have a place I will definitely be using in the future! Highly recommend!

Fantastic service from start to end. I have a European car requiring an unusual oil blend 10W60. Not only were they able to find this particular oil blend, they were able to complete the service the same day.Great service and price like always!

I've really been having a hard time finding a good shop with quality service and people. I've had the same mechanic working on my cars for over 27 years. But since the move he is now well over an hour away!! I've been to a few shops in my area only to find overpriced service and big egos. Douglas Automotive not only has ASE certified mechanics but also has signage above the doorway stating "Service with Integrity" and that is exactly what you will find at this shop. They not only looked at my vehicle for free but also gave me a clear breakdown of repairs needed to keep my vehicle on the road. The service was quick and reasonable for the price. I did not walk out of here feeling ripped off. I've got an older van with well over 200k miles on it that's been driven all over the USA and the reason I've been able to do that is because I've had quality people working on my cars. Fellas I'm thankful to say the van made it down to Florida and back with no issues whatsoever! Thank you you're officially hired!! Had my car brought in to get my tires balanced. Dave and Sean are very nice. They even have a shuttle/driver which was very convenient. Very honest, and reasonable. An asset to FRG!!

Took my car for the first time to Douglas, had quite a few issues, they told exactly what was needed and how much it would cost. They fixed what I asked them, have had no issues with the car. Took my other car as well, same courtesy and professionalism and effective repairs. Douglas automotive is professional, efficient and has great customer service! I initially was a bit hesitant bringing my European car there for service, but have been happy with the result every time. Went in for brakes. Service was exceptional. Price was reasonable. They gave me a timeframe and stuck to it. Can t ask for anything more than this. Always a great experience working with Douglas Automotive and will continue to take my vehicles here.

I usually don t do reviews but this is worthy. It s not often to find a mechanic you trust. I ve been taking my Ford F150 to Douglas for a few years since my factory warranty was up and I was done being scammed by Buss Ford. I can t say enough good things! All diagnostics are repairs done in a quick order, great honest customer service. They keep me in the loop of upcoming maintenance needed on my truck and whats important to tackle now and what can wait a little which is nice when the money tree out back just ain t producing lol. They offer a ride service too. The cost of repairs might be a bit more than others but honest repairs and 36,000 warranty on work makes it worth it.
