After seeing how poor the local Toyota dealer service department was I decided to take my car to Simone at Auto Tech Imports and as always my car comes back amazingly. I got the front ball joint service, stabilizer link service, transmission fluid service. As you can see in the pics the ball joint, stabilizer link were fully leaking grease and looks beyond bad. The black fluid was from the transmission and that really needed to be serviced. I also go my engine coolant replaced which was needed. I also had a steering shaft service which was badly needed. Simone explained all the details on what was needed. Lastly, throttle body was serviced. Auto tech imports is the only car service shop I will go to. They truly care about the customer and ensuing that ones care comes back to them in better condition than when it came into the shop. I can say that my car after the service is quieter from all the service that was done. So, any one that needs car service work check out auto tech imports they will take care what ever you need.*The before and after speak for themselves*

Simone & Mercurio are the best! I've been going to them for any issues with my Audi and they have always been very honest, professional, and fairly priced. They go above & beyond and communicate the issue while offering potential solutions along with pricing and make sure you're getting repairs completed in a timely manner for a fair price. Highly recommend!

Transmission went out on my 2013 VW GTI. Dealer wanted over double the price that Autotech was able to fix it for. Simone was very helpful and knowledgeable about my car. He took extra time and callbacks to help me figure out estimates - before he even saw my car. I appreciate the honest pricing and work done here. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone wanting a professional mechanic.

My son's 1999 Volkswagen Golf encountered some trouble starting. I saw this place advertised on Facebook and noticed they specialize in VW cars and they have factory trained technicians. They were located conveniently. I called and spoke with Mercurio Fiasche and explained my trouble with the car on a Friday afternoon. He arranged my appointment for Saturday morning to which I was pleased that he was able to accommodate me so quickly. When I arrived the next morning, the manager Simon greeted me as I pulled up to the door. He introduced me to Mercurio and his partner technician Nicola. They greeted me warmly and offered a cup of some really good espresso coffee. Mercurio made a timely and accurate assessment of the problem that my Golf was experiencing and also noticed the brakes were at an unsafe condition. I was given a very reasonable price for the repair and the manager procured all the parts necessary to perform the repairs within 1 hour. They made me feel comfortable while I was waiting for the parts to arrive. Once they did, they got to my car quickly and got me back on the road within 3 hours.This group of guys treated me how I wanted to be treated! They were accommodating, professional, accurate, quick and reasonably priced (considerably less than a VW dealer) and they used genuine parts which makes me feel safe and roadworthy. I love my Volkswagen and I love these guys. They have earned my business with all my cars (2 VW's and an Audi) and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! They are truly a class act.These guys awesome! Mercurio is a REAL technician! Not a parts replacer! He will diagnose your car right! He and his crew are to be trusted! Take your European automobile to them for any repairs and maintenance!!!!

Great Experience, always love supporting small business. These guys specialize in Euro cars, so I knew my Passat was in great hands. They work with Carfax as well, so they are up-to-date with technology. Merci was super knowledgeable and friendly. Was in and out quickly. Simone has been wonderful to deal with, reasonably priced and has gone above and beyond the call of duty. I've learned from previous experience that I can't take my Saab just anywhere. Really disappointed with the experience I had bringing my vehicle here. I was referred to this shop by a friend. I had my vehicle towed in for repair because it wouldn't start. I received a call from Simon the next day. I was told my vehicle wont start because my fuel pumps are bad. He said my fuel system is old and needs to be 'updated' $2200 to updated everything. My whole fuel system was replaced recently under an extended warranty/recall from Mercedes Benz. So I knew it didnt need to be updated. Mercedes Benz even gave a 15 year warranty on parts and labor. I told Simon about this and mentioned to him that the issue might be a fuel relay but he insisted that it was my fuel pumps. I told him I'd tow it to a Mercedes Benz dealer because if the pumps went bad then they'll be replaced at no charge. I drove over to get the key to my vehicle and was charged $100 for checking my vehicle. I had my vehicle towed home until I could find another shop because I wanted a second opinion before I take it to a dealer. I had my vehicle towed to another shop. I was then told that it was my fuel relay and fuel relay harness $350 for parts and labor. Now my vehicle starts just as good as before. I definitely wont be coming back to this shop. I threw away $300 bringing my vehicle here, $200 on 2 tows and $100 for a 'diagnostic' that wasnt precise. BEWARE

Autotech Imports in River Grove has Certified master-technicians with a lifetime of expertise and world-class service. And best of all, they really seem to advocate what was in my best interest and not solely their own.My BMW suffered an engine malfunction and wouldn t start. The BMW dealership told me I would need a new engine. Desperate, I called Autotech Imports in River Grove to schedule a second opinion. Autotech was able to take a look at my car immediately and asked me to come in next morning to go over my situation. They also enthusiastically took the time out of their day to answer my questions and address my concerns. They even shared invaluable insight on the state of import vehicles in general so that I could make a more informed decision on my next car purchase.With full knowledge that my BMW dealership told me I needed a new engine, Autotech proposed a fix for only 1/10th of the cost. They laid out a surgical plan to replace only what was necessary. Admittedly, I was skeptical and had low expectations but agreed nonetheless. I would have sold the car for parts otherwise because a new engine costs significantly more than the value of the car itself. I left the car with them over the weekend and picked it up on tuesday. They charged me less than their estimate, replaced some bulbs for free (because they did not want me to risk getting ticketed) and had the car washed. Autotech even called me the following day to check on the car and offered to take a look at it if I had any concerns.I ve had the car back a week now and it runs better than ever. One of the parts replaced was a leaky gasket- a leak that my BMW dealership could not find so I have had to top-off the oil regularly the last 3 years. The car starts and runs as quietly and smoothly as new.Autotech really is a gem. A-1. They are good, trustworthy people with a wall of credentials and a passion for cars. I never felt like they were trying to sell me things. They genuinely tried to help me find the best possible solution and they really delivered. Great place. The atmosphere and ambiance is fantastic. The staff and management were honest about the problems on my car and offered to show and explain the problems. The mechanics were very proficient and friendly. Stepping in here reminded me of my trip to Italy in 2010. The coffee kept me happy waiting. The price was very fair and the technicians were very HONEST.These days it is very hard to find honest auto mechanics, and for that reason I will always be coming back.I had a couple problems wrong with my car ( oil change, air conditioning fan, sensors malfunctioning, fuel purge errors, control arms, grease holders, etc.) Something that would of cost me an arm at a leg at the Volkswagen dealership. The technicians are all certified and train by the manufactures themselves. It was very impressive looking at all the awards and top honors belonging to the mechanics.Top quality, honest, great service, fantastic work.I will definitely be coming back!

I've been taking my cars to Autotech Imports since they first opened their doors. And I couldn't be happier with all the work they've done on my cars. The whole staff works together like a team and they really do a great job. They will not only fix your car but they always advise you on what your car may need to avoid issues in the future. Had maintenance done in February. Excellent everything and attention to detail, best honest pricing, no surprises. Simon advised brakes in future. Fast forward to July 26. Brakes well past 1000 miles before service. I was having a very difficult time coordinating drop off of my vehicle for a couple weeks after I had initially called for next day service.On Tuesday, phone rang at work, it was Simon! He offered to pick up and drop off my vehicle from work!He really really really helped me out with that gesture and he is the nicest mechanic I've ever dealt with. Honest, professional, courteous and respectful. BOOM.Go to Autotech. Ask for Simon.

Autotech Imports are professional, honest and experienced. They are very knowledgeable of imports especially European Cars. The price and service is better then the dealership. They give good advice on what is needed in the future to avoid major problems. The friendly staff is the reason to continue using their service

Autotech Imports is the absolute best! Simone is honest, helpful and an auto expert. He has kept my 2006 Acura with more than 150,000 miles running in tip top condition and always a fair price. I feel fortunate to have found Autotech Imports!

Straight forward, honest and very professional! All work was completed exactly the way it was explained. I was given a ride home, and got a ride back once my car was ready! Also got a complimentary car wash! Exceptional service from start to finish! Wow! I will recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for honest technicians and high quality work! Thank you!

I Was just here a couple of minutes ago and the guy who was working on my car was really rude to someone who was parked in the parking lot of the shop he's was cursing back and forth with the guy just have to say very unprofessional and definitely a better way of handle things then negativity definitely wouldn't be leaving my car here

I had a quote of $200. To place a headlight. I was the more of expensive one of two , but he had it in stock. He said the labor was high because he needed to remove the bumper. I told him ok . He said it would be an hour. I offered to pay then. But he refused. After an hour I was returning he called saying it would an additional hour and a additional $100 bringing the total to $300. I told him to go Ahead. I should have never offered to pay cash. He seen I had cash.

Replaced a broken taillight and flushed the coolant on an Audi A6. Gave me a good deal on the taillight, $100 cheaper than the dealer, and swapped it out in a day. Overall great experience. Definitely recommend and will return if work needed.

My experience cant be put into a simple review, Simone was just one of the best guys to deal with my car is running better than the previous mechanics "work" (if you can even call it that), Autotech Imports has really great customer service too, I've recommended this place to my best friend and coworkers!
