We re in April of 2024. I m starting with that because Rich and Hillary Shemwell deserve incredible acknowledgment, for their conduct and dedication to my wife and myself as customers. Their pricing and communication made our deal feel very straightforward, no disheartening surprises. All of this is extremely rare (here in April-2024), and much appreciated. So, thank you Rich, Hillary and family from our family to yours: Much luck and good fortune to your futures, thank you for your service.

Rich & Hilary Shemwell were amazing to deal with! We brought in our 2021 Toyota RAV4, still under warranty, in to trade for a 15 Ford Expedition. Yes that seems odd, but we were wanting to get something that was bigger for our growing family. Hilary was there and offered us an AMAZING value for our RAV4. We test drove the Expedition and it was exactly what we were looking for. We drove back up the next day after Rich and his son meticulously detailed the vehicle for us, sent it to the Ford dealer to take care of an active recall, and filled it up with fuel!We already had some travel plans for the weekend and drove the vehicle over 1500 miles round trip and it was amazing!I would not hesitate to purchase from Shemwell Motor Company in Red Bud Illinois again when we need another vehicle!

Absolutely amazing couple to work with! Very honest and straight forward with no cheesy sales pitch! Super helpful and made for an easy and smooth process; they had all the paperwork ready for us when we came back to pick up our vehicle. Highly recommend!

Was looking for a good used truck stumbled on Shemwell motors walked up told Rich I need a quad cab for my family preferably 4 wheel drive and my price range he said I have what you need. Test drove the truck and signed the paperwork. Rich is a no BS straight forward kind of guy best experience I have ever had buying or leasing a vehicle. Definitely a repeat customer now. Treated my family like family even set up my 4 year old daughter with some gabby dollhouse while wife and I signed papers.

I recently bought a very nice, used vehicle from here. Rich & Hilary were so easy to work with. They were both very knowledgeable about the vehicle and were able to answer any questions that we had. This will be the first place that I look when I am ready for another vehicle. Very happy with our purchase here! Highly recommend this place!!

I bought my first dealer vehicle through them a week ago and, I have to admit, I'm very pleased with my experience at Shemwell Motors.I spent, TOTAL, maybe 1.5 hours inside the dealership. Rich was very transparent about the vehicle, pricing, options in financing, etc. and not at all pushy. Hillary, his wife, had all the paperwork in order for me before I arrived for pickup despite it obviously being a busy morning for them.The gas tank was empty and the previous owner was a smoker, but Rich took it upon himself to send me off on a near full tank and to run his nifty Ozone machine which took out that smell with ease, without my asking or extra charge!Honest, upfront, efficient, and professional.It's also nice knowing that my business went to support a local, family-ran business too.

I just purchased a vehicle from Rich Shemwell at a GREAT PRICE!! He was upfront with the various financing options, extended vehicle coverage and was knowledgeable about the features of the vehicle I purchased from him (2013 Yukon-XL Denali). This was the most refreshing car-buying experience I ve ever had. Rich was incredibly straightforward and trustworthy. My daughter and I drove an hour from St. Louis to see a particular car on his lot of beautiful cars. He just handed us the keys and said take it for a drive! There was no funny business, like, we need a $50 check and three forms of ID to know you are serious before you drive it. He gave us a tour of the engine and showed us all the cover-up tricks he looks for before he buys a used car. I couldn t believe he was telling me all this information. He was SO nice and he actually made it FUN for us to buy a car!! There was no silly back and forth necessary as we discussed the price. He is refreshingly fair and truly kind. I will go back there again!

Absolutely the best car dealer I have ever been to. No hidden costs, no BS, and really nice cars. My son is in the US Army and needed to get a truck and we couldn't be happier with what we got. They not only made sure that we got what he wanted in his price range, but they went out of their way to make sure he got the best deal that he could have possibly gotten. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle. We will be back when my wife and I want to change vehicles. Thank you guys very much.

Rich and Hilary Shemwell were incredible to do business with. I was interested in a Mercedes, inquired, and learned I was the 2nd in line to look at it. Rich contacted me after the 1st in line declined to purchase. I found the A/C wasn t blowing cold air. They made arrangements to have to taken to a Mercedes dealer in St. Louis, and had it properly repaired. They were honest, fair, demonstrated incredible integrity, kind, and are without question committed to satisfying their clients. Salt of the earth folks.After having dealt with numerous dealers while searching for a used car, I was very grateful to have had such a great experience with the Shemwells.

I was looking for a low milage car with good fuel economy for my college aged driver. Shemwell did not disappoint! He was able to get me my "out the door" price and wasn't your typical "greasy" car salesman. No pressure. No hovering. It was great!!!

My husband and I had been looking for a newer mini van. We had searched all over and found one that interested us at Shamwell Motors.We were so happy to find the van exactly as advertised. We were even more pleased to work with the owners - who rearranged their plans to suit our timing and schedule . The transaction went smoothly and everything is great with our van. We love it and had a great experience with Shamwell Motors we would definitely visit them in the future when we need a new car.

Best experience buying a car from a dealership. Fast and easy and the owner is awesome. He doesn't take hours of your time doing all the paperwork and he will be straight forward to you about the car. I recommend buying a car from Shemwell motors
