Stayed at this property, and it didn't disappoint. The front desk was very welcoming, rooms were clean, and the property was really quiet at all times. Breakfast was really good, and the location is outside Champaign. There is plenty of area to walk pets or a walk/ jog. Walmart is literally a walk away. I'd definitely add to my favorites.

Would be 5 stars but the pool was out of service. Which when you're traveling with a U17 baseball team can be an issue. Especially in a town like Rantoul where there isn't much to do. We were given two completely different reasons why the pool was down. The hotel was right next to the ball fields which was super convenient. We could see them from our room. The room was clean and updated. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was good. They had a pancake maker. Lots of fast food restaurants nearby. Otherwise if you drive 10 minutes or so you can find sit down restaurants downtown or near downtown. We liked the Agave Mexican place.Rooms: Nice size double beds. We had a fridge and microwave. The TV worked fine. Basic cable type deal. We had a view of the baseball fields. It's next to the highway so if your room is near that end you could hear it I suppose. We didn't hear anything.Nearby activities: If you aren't here for baseball there isn't much to do. At least with the down time we had. They have mini-golf next door. Other than that its fast food joints and a Walmart. You can drive to Champaign in about 20-25 minutes.Safety: Some parts of town looked new and upscale. Others run down and old. Never felt unsafe, but you notice the change in the way the houses look. Just be mindful if you travel away from the hotel. The Walmart was a typical Walmart. All kinds of walks of life.Walkability: If you are here for baseball you can walk to the fields if you want to. We drove because of all the gear and what not but it's a short walk. Other than that you have to drive....even if you could walk I'd recommend driving.Food & drinks: Fast food joints nearby, sit down places about 10 minutes away down town or a little past downtown. Agave Mexican place and ET's is where we ate. We liked both.

decent stay. decent staff. decent amenities.Cons are as follows:No pool as advertised, and when you show up, you have two options....deal with it, or leave. no discounts no refunds. I didn't ask - that's just what they have "kindly" posted at the front desk, so assume what you will. Also no late check out option. Rantoul is a flourishing area - you may not realize it, but it's actually comparable to New York or LA in which reservations are booming weekend and weekdays alike. We kindly asked for an hour extension on our check out date to accommodate our weekend baseball tournament schedule (the only real reason someone would stay at this hotel), and were denied because they were all booked up for the week. a simple check of the availability online clearly indicated otherwise. Again, assume what you will.

This place was great! The king suites are very large and found both the bed and couch very comfortable. I liked that their coffee table has a lift top which was a nice touch. As for their breakfast, I enjoyed it. One of the better holiday inn breakfasts I ve seen with lots of great options. The staff at this location was very friendly, especially the lady who prepares the breakfast as you can tell she enjoys her job.

We traveled from New York for business. This was close to the highway and easy access. When we got there it was 9 am and the front desk was amazing and she put us on the 4th floor so that it was quiet for us to sleep and we didn't have to wait for check in time. Very clean room no smells except for freshness. We put the window shades down and slept a few hours in a very comfortable bed. When we got up we went to the hot tub and enjoyed that. Shower is very roomie and nice water pressure with a rain shower. The next morning the front desk gentleman added our credits because we forgot to add the morning before. We did not eat breakfast by our choice but checked it out before we left and they had a nice selection for breakfast. We would highly recommend this hotel. Loved our stay

Check in was fast and simple, and desk staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean, cozy, quiet, and spacious, with a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary Kcup pods. The bathroom had complimentary Dove body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower.Breakfast was great, with omelets, pancakes, cinnamon buns, sausages, biscuits and gravy, chocolate milk, juice, and more. The breakfast attendants were very friendly and the breakfast area was spacious, clean, and had a nice ambiance.Coffee, hot chocolate, and tea were available any time in the lobby/breakfast area, plus there are computers and a printer for guest use. The hotel is very close to Walmart, a gas station, and several restaurants, which was nice.We wanted to stay near Urbana/Champaign, which was a short drive away, while our child went to a high school theatre event, so there are even more things to do out there. Overall my family was very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again whenever we we come back to Champaign.

The room was super clean and smelled great. The staff was super friendly, especially the lady in the breakfast area. Food was hot and delicious. Our son loved the pancake machine. The pool and spa area was clean and very nice too. My only complaint was the WWF competition that started at 6:30 right over my head. Maybe next time we will request a room away from everyone else.

My top 3 things for rating are bed, cleanliness, and pillows. All 3 were excellent. Nice breakfast. Small fitness room. Didn't see pool/spa, but know there is one. We must have had a special needs room because there was a doorbell for deaf/HOH. Bathroom was more than large enough for a wheelchair. Lots of bars on wall in tub/shower area and by toilet. Door had peep holes at 2 levels.

Travel teams travel elsewhere, this hotel is built on a sports complex geared to 10-15 year olds the staff was horrible with kids. Arrive early for breakfast. Breakfast on the second day ran out we were told more food would come we waited 45 minutes and then were told it was to late and nothing would be served but there was oatmeal and cereal left but the best part only knives were left for utensils. No coffee as well on day 2 with no answer to why. Thankfully there was a McDonald s close by. Beds were comfy but walls are very thin thankfully quiet time is now 8pm-7am.

VERY clean - looks brand new. Cleanest place we've stayed in a year and a half. We actually got to have hot delicious breakfast for the first time since covid. Very friendly staff. Quiet. Comfortable, clean beds and pillows. We would absolutely stay here again (we've stayed at 2 hotels and 2 Air B&Bs this week, this is by far the best.)

Ended up getting my room switched after being woken up by a barking dog the first night. Juan was really understanding and awesome in making the switch happen! Great customer service! The four stars are due to the late breakfast hours. With work starting at 7 am, the 6:30 am breakfast causes a rush to wolf food down without truly enjoying it. I even asked to see if I could get earlier access and had no luck.

2 stars because the room was clean and bed was comfortable. Stayed for a baseball tournament. I ve never stayed at a hotel where you could not hang out in the lobby. Front desk said that the lobby was not a public place and nobody could hang out in it. They roped it off at 3pm and said we couldn t sit there. There s a rule of no alcohol consumption inside or outside on property and no gathering in rooms. For a hotel basically built due to the proximity to fields and to host travel sport families, they are not very accommodating and employees were also very rude.

Great room and accommodations, however the management staff were unresponsive when I requested for them to quiet the guests who chose to sit outside throughout the night to carry on. They were extremely loud and prevented a restful sleep. I had to address these guests and ask for their consideration. It went well past midnight. Too disappointing for such a high standard hotel. Would not recommend for a baseball tournament weekend. :(

Nicely updated hotel. When I booked my reservation I told them I had my elderly mother with me, with disabilities and needed a room on the first floor or close to the elevator. We got a room on the fourth floor, which was fine and quieter than other floors, but the room was at the far end of the hallway. Also when I reserved, I was told there was a grab-and-go breakfast. They no longer have this and their continental breakfast does not start till 7. This is far too late when you have one of the biggest facilities in the state having horse shows 10 minutes down the road. 6am is standard! Very disappointed that there was nothing to eat! We also saw tiny ants periodically throughout our room.I'm almost positive I woke up the front receptionist man when trying to check out.

Staff is very nice, pretty quiet and safe place to stay. Only complaint is that the carpets desperately need a deep cleaning. My toddler played on the floor for 10 minutes and his feet and hands were black from the dirty carpet so I'd love to see that improve the next time we stay.
