I had an air line to a brake chamber that chaffed open and was leaking pretty bad. Grays Garage was nearby and pulled in. Since it was a relatively easy repair, they had the parts on hand, and I needed to get back on the local job I was in the middle of, they got right on it. Turns out the other line was about to run through as well. They did both air line quickly and at a reasonable cost. Everyone I had contact with there was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Believe it or not, Gray's Garage was recommended as an excellent shop by another shop about a half hour farther down the road. Would definitely recommend them for anyone needing commercial vehicles work.

Lost the brake control value on my trailer, did a google search and found these guys, and oh how glad I am! They diagnosed my problem when I arrived and fixed it the next morning when parts arrived! As an O/O I have found the only shop I will use in Illinois. Thank you guys for an honest and excellent job done!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Amazing! The service was fast, super friendly technicians were very knowledgeable, price was much lower than what we anticipated. Overall, a great experience to get our motorhome back on the road on a Saturday morning, and they even helped with a plumbing issue. By far the best service experience we have had in a very long time!

My experience with Grays garage was amazing to say the least. Trailer broke down early morning of a snow storm and no other 24 hour roadside assistance wanted to come out to fix it. Called grays and couldn t have asked for a better experience. Told me exactly how much it would be and when he would come out to the truck. Very honest and profesional with fair pricing! Highly recommend!Service: Brakes

These guys are the BEST! We were driving back from Chicago in the late afternoon recently in our 40-foot RV and were having some serious acceleration issues. A nearby RV service dealer suggested Gray s Garage and we headed there unannounced and pretty shaken up. We were immediately seen by Jeff, who diagnosed the problem in 20 minutes, parts were ordered for the next day, and the repair began.Jeff, Justin and everyone at the garage warmly accommodated us and our elderly dog in their sitting room while we waited for the repairs. We can t stress enough how professional, thoughtful and service-oriented everyone was and they truly helped us through a stressful situation. We highly recommend this shop for RV or truck repair. Simply the best!

Grays stood behind their work. I had a major repair job done here. A week later there was a slight issue. The team at Grays stepped up and stood behind the job. I would definitely use them again if had issues in this area. This is a good sized shop and got me moving when I needed it.

Gray's is the number one place to go in Livingston county if your truck or bus needs work. They have a great crew of trained me mechanics, equipment to tow your problem to the shop, and professional talent and attention when it gets there.

Super friendly people. Blew a turbo close to them and they towed me back to their shop. Very reasonable rate to tow. They was swamped in their shop and couldn't get to me for a couple days. They were kind enough to let me fix it myself on their lot.

Gray's Garage rescued us on a motor home trip about 4 years ago. They were great. We now drive from Chicagoland to Gray's Garage for all our truck and RV service. It's worth the drive.

My experience with Gray's garage for diesel mechanics is that they are as good as any major garage with a little bit of a lower price. It's off the Beaten Track and they're always busy. You might have a little bit of a wait.

Had Gray's put in a clutch in my chip truck, not a job just any shop can handle on a gmc 6500. They did a great job with it and fixed couple other things that were wrong. Talk about service! Will be using them in the future for sure!Services: Transmission, BrakesServices: Transmission, Brakes

The young lady in the front office is rude and not overly friendly. Why not smile and be kind. Why use someone out there who doesn t like everyone. Customer service down the toilet these days. Be grateful you have a job. Better yet don t hire family because they re never grateful.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

They jump started my semi at the rest area close by. The guy came very quickly after my call, and didn t charge me a lot since it was a roadside assistance. Overall good experience.

I had my truck towed to their shop because of a steering wheel bearing, all the right side needed a replacement including hub and spindle and king pin,I asked them to check the left side wheel bearing too and they told me that it needs to be replaced because it s tight...After couple weeks I was having problems with steering and I came back,I was told that left side wheel bearing and hub need to be replaced...They told me that I misunderstood and left wheel bearing was only checked and was fine, then I brought the first invoice and asked why I was charged for 2 wheel Bearings?Answer was that this was done by mistake because on the truck worked 2 mechanics and that I won t have to pay again for wheel bearing only for labor, because on the first invoice labor for second wheel bearing it s not listed...In couple days after the second repair I had to take the truck to another shop in Chicago because I was still having steering issues...PARTS ARE WAY TOO OVERPRICED...Service: Steering & suspension repair

Changed radiator put aluminum one for roughly half of what a truck stop wanted to charge me for a plastic one, found a mess a dealer left behind and fixed it, did a laundry list of little and not so little repairs... very fair price... no guessing, on point... nobody else touches my truck if I can help it.

Went in for a wheel seal leaking. Very next day started leaking again. Called them up and talked it over and received my money back . Not many places would do this unless it's in their shop

Traveling from Florida and ran over a tread from a truck. Needlessly to say it broke something under my car. Pulled off the hwy and the only place in sight was Gray's garage. They removed the broken piece and sent me on my way. lifesavers
