I highly recommend these guys. I would give them 5+ stars if I could. They did excellent work. My car looks great and everything works as it should. Excellent customer service. Matt and Robin were spot on with keeping me updated with what was going on with my car. Thanks guys!

Terrible experience. Had front end replaced after hitting a dear. Got the car back with 2 different headlights. (Headlights didn't need replaced, so assuming they broke one during front end replacement) and the front end wasn't put on the vehicle properly. The silver trim around the grill is popped up in a few spots and the front end has an inch gap between the front panel and the hood of the car.Update: car was fixed after bringing it in 3 more times. They tried screwing bolts into the bumper of my car to " secure it" into the frame...for me to obviously complain because there was still an inch gap plus now damage to the bumper and to the framing of my car. After complaining they "realized" it was the wrong style part for the car. So yeah car was finally fixed. I wouldn't recommend this place my self personally. The office lady was rude, and James the Manager was beyond rude.Service: Body & Trim

Update: The new guy, John, spoke to us over the phone. Why the new guy has to take responsibility for this, I don't know, but he handled himself remarkably well. I don't know what's going on with whoever manages this location, or with the person training John, but they both need re-training.John, my additional 2 stars are specifically for your exceptional customer service, keeping your word, and for taking on our ire with grace. Thank you for submitting the estimate, for actually listening to our concerns, and for taking action to address those concerns.So, after waiting 3 weeks for the body repair estimate we scheduled an appointment for (on December 12th), and being told that it would be done Monday or Tuesday, we are being blown off by yet another central Illinois Gerber location! What is with these people and not keeping appointments? Their excuse? As the lady on the phone stated, they've, "had a lot of work come in." Beware: appointments with Gerber Collision & Glass mean absolutely NOTHING.This is after taking the car to Bourbonnaise for an estimate, because there are no other businesses approved by USAA within an hour drive of where we live. Bourbonnaise also couldn't be bothered to keep not one, not two, but three separate appointments! Then, when we went in to take the car because they couldn't be bothered to run their business and make money, they had the audacity to make us wait while they took photos of the car! They told us they would get the estimate done, and they still haven't bothered to do it, either!I don't know why USAA bothers with this horrendously bad business, but I am going to make sure, personally, that they revise Gerber's approval status. This is insane!Get your act together, Gerber! Maybe start with HONORING YOUR APPOINTMENTS!

Pleasantly told me they can set my appointment....but it's 45 days away to start. Had to change my surgery because I would have no vehicle if they have it. Crazy. Not happy at all. Surgeries aren't always easy to reschedule.

they are so under staff, I had to make an appointment just to get an estimate on fixing my bumper. ;(hopefully once they start the job IF they get the job, they'll have people to fix it.

Ordered wrong parts several times grossly underestimating damage missed delivery date over 5 times left parts off left horn unhooked didn't recharge the airconditoner with freon.I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Not good need to inform someone sooner if your vehicle has ti be total out. Misleading and not getting back to customer in a timely manner

Very clean, you can buy snacks if you're waiting (very convenient).My husband and I just moved to Pontiac about 2 weeks ago. The other day, we were involved in a car accident. We brought the car here for an estimate. The gentleman who was there did an excellent job with the appraisal and explained how the whole process went. He was very nice and pleasant to work with. The lady who was working behind the counter was also very nice and pleasant to speak with. She gave me some great ideas on how to move forward. I'm so glad that there's a Gerber Collison near us. They have a fantastic reputation, and this shop is in a league of its own. I hope I don't have to get my car fixed again, but if I do, I'll definitely be back!
