SPRINTER VAN Horrible and nothing but parts changers for my application ..Brought my Sprinter van in for an exhaust leak and check engine light on. Originally quoted $180 diagnostic fee which turned into over $600 once in the repair bay. Fine I get it let s get it fixed!Picked vehicle up after 3 days in the shop which they insisted they were qualified to work on this kind of vehicle also explained the loud whining noise coming from the turbo is normal didn t sound like that when I brought it in so fix it which the did, they had improperly install a part they changed out that wasn t even needed. Left to go on a service call could hardly breathe in the cab after they claimed to have repaired the exhaust leak not to mention check engine light came on which sent the van in break down mode had to turn around, miss my emergency service call and go back to this shop.Time for more diagnostic s fees parts changing and down time, waiting only to have the service writer tell me to go buy a code reader and reset the codes every time check engine light comes on ..not very professional at all not to mention this is a qualified Napa repair shop.Went to another shop (Certified Auto Repair in Naperville) they found the problem, a bad fuel injector causing unburned fuel to leak into the cab setting check engine light on .not to mention a exhaust leak at the turbo on a bolt that was loose.They did replace the radiator hoses which work out but bottom line after $4600 I left with the van in worst running condition then when I first brought it it. Glad I didn t listen to them and spend more money to buy a code reader I had it fixed properly.I m not saying they are bad at all repairs but BEWARE make sure they are for sure qualified to work on your specific vehicle. Shame, I was going to bring my fleet of vehicles for service but after taking my first it will be my last.Thanks for the $4500 lesson in life not to mention lost wages and customers I incurred!!!!

Great place to take your vehicle I was very impressed. Appointments are kept on time and done in a timely fashion.. I ve been coming here for a few years and they just keep getting better. I just didn t know.

We have found a wonder repair shop at rt 59 auto repair. Everyone is nice and courteous. The owner Jim is Very accommodating and helpful. He answers all yre concerns and gives you good advice. I know my car is well cared for, by a good, honest repair shop. Highly recommend 59 auto repair.

I've been a customer for years and I've always received great service. Recently I have not been happy and would not recommend them to anyone. I brought my car in for an oil change. I left the shop leaking coolant. It definitely wasn't leaking BEFORE I came in. I didn't say anything to them. I took it to my regular mechanic and got it fixed. Last week I was in need of an oil change and my mechanic was off. I went against my better judgment and took it back to them. This time, I left the shop and jumped on 55 going into the city when my oil light came on. They sent a tow truck to come get me but I had to wait hours and wasted my day. They kept my car for 3 more days and really didn't apologize for any inconvenience to me. When I walked in to pick up my vehicle, they made me feel like I was the one who made a mistake. Needless to say I will not be back.

My car didn t start in front of jewel. I was lucky enough to run into Jim who was so helpful and recommended his shop. They were able to fix my car quickly with a new battery and provide timely updates while it was being repaired. I would highly recommend!

Visiting my daughter from out of town and thought I might have a transmission leak. Called 59 Auto repair and asked about getting my car in and checked out. They were very accomdating and got me in. They called and text with their findings and cost. Very reasonable. Would take my car back again if in Plainfeild and had an issue.

When my EV needed service, I thought that my only option was going directly to the dealership. I wanted to cry. Fortunately, 59 Auto was able to diagnose my issue quickly and get me back on the road for much less. They are AMAZING here! 59 Auto helped me with a repair of a 6 year old tire that 3 other places wouldn't even look at because of its age. The tire actually is in pretty good condition with plenty of tread and no rot They saved me the replacement cost of as many as 4 tires because it's not advisable to replace just one radial tire.

In my opinion its a trustworthy place to bring your business too! Thank you so much to Ian and Jim who performed and explain in detail about the findings of the pre car purchase inspection for a used car that I wanted to buy. They sure did a great job on taking the anxiety away. I don't live around the areaI live about 30 miles away but will definitely be taking the drive for future car maintenance. Madeline was great setting up my appointment & Jim was great in communicating what was going on with repairs. He even squeezed me in for an oil change while waiting on a new battery to be delivered. I've been going to 59 Auto for years for all of my cars. This is an incredible family-owned business who does excellent, reliable work and really cares about their customers. They're extremely flexible in getting you in when you have an issue, keep you up to date with the details of their work, and offer shuttle service if you need to get home while they're working on your car.The office staff is incredibly knowledgeable about car issues and are always happy to help discuss what's going on over the phone before you come in. And they always provide you recommendations on upcoming services you're car may need without being pushy - they work against the maintenance schedule for the vehicle and mileage, which is a great reminder to help keep your car getting the preventive maintenance you need.I've always found them to be competitive with the dealerships, and they try and get you the best deals on parts for more expensive repairs. They even gave me some advice on what to do about a car issue when I was 500 miles away from home to help make sure I could get back safely without issues.Definitely the place to go for honest, reliable repairs and car work with excellent service.

This is the first time I ve had my car serviced with 59 Auto. But I have been there before with my girlfriend s car, and I sent my son there, for his car repairs. We all love and trust the staff at 59. Professional, caring, quick, thorough, and always with a smile and a kind word. These folks know how to do it and they do it well. This family owned company has an amazing team that always serves my auto vehicle needs. From their customer service to their willingness to reevaluate car problems free of additional charges, to explaining issues in a way for you to understand them, they deliver each time. Overall I have had great service here. The team here is extremely helpful and friendly. I recently brought my vehicle in as it was leaking oil. They diagnosed it quickly, and was able to get it fixed right away. They even gave me a rental car for the weekend which was super helpful. I will always bring my vehicle here. Thanks so much!!

Highly recommend 59 Auto. Always friendly staff. I have had several vehicles here over the last few years. Vehicle repair isn t cheap but way cheaper than buying a new car. Especially now. Honest upfront pricing. Pricing includes parts and labor. I m sure that s a shock for most people see the labor breakdown but work isn t free. They have a business to run. If you could do it yourself you would. Still waaaaay cheaper than a dealer. I have done work on my own vehicles but some things I just don t want to mess with anymore I take it to the pros. They have never added anything on. What they quote is what you pay. They honor their warranty they give as well. They complete the work in a timely manner. One occasion they had my vehicle for a day longer but that was because part had to come from manufacture and was delayed. Great repair shop, no pressuring to get you to do anything. Went in for check engine light and they called me in two hours to say what it was. Had it fixed in another two hours. Also checked the price for oil change and it was very reasonable. Always honest. Work is, "once and done". No fooling around. I bring my fleet vehicle here. They aren't the cheapest, but they aren't the most expensive either. But it's nice to find a mechanic you can trust. (Please stay that way 59)

Like a lot of people I have had bad experiences with many repair shops. And Route 59 is now added to the list because they absolutely do not advocate for their customers. They are just one of many shops that seemingly try to add on as many charges as possible even if it means charging their customers for things, me as the customer, were not at all responsible for. I had to get my transmission replaced and thankfully it was covered under the warranty I purchased with the car with a very affordable deductible. For context, the warranty company made some poor decisions in terms of ordering a replacement transmission. The first transmission they ordered was missing parts so Route 59 decided to take parts off my broken transmission, put it in the new transmission and then installed it. That transmission failed to work properly which was not surprising at all. The warranty company ended up ordering a brand new transmission. Once Route 59 got the second trans they obviously repeated the steps to install the new transmission. After my car being there for about a month and a half I was expecting to pay somewhere around $100-125. They charged me $245. When they installed both transmissions they had to fill up the transmission fluid and they ended up charging me for both refills even though the first transmission was a failure. I tried to get some clarity as to why I am responsible to pay for the mistakes of them and the warranty company. To which they replied it s not fair to them to eat the extra $60 cost for the one transmission fluid refill because they were operating off of the decisions that the warranty company made. Even though they received almost $10,000 from the warranty company. Both refills tacked on $120 extra on top of my deductible. Plus they charged me for what they called shop fees which means if they use rags or consumables for the repair. Of all the extra charges that is the only one that I could understand. On top of all of this, from the start they said my deductible was only $50, which I was ecstatic about and which helped me be patient for the 6 weeks my car was there. When I went to pick up the car they then said my deductible was actually $100, even though the invoice literally said Customer pay $49.92 under the warranty information. I also asked for clarity on that and they said Oh that s not what that is but for some reason couldn t elaborate anymore than that. No one at the shop mentioned the deductible was $100 until I had to pay at the shop which I really did not appreciate. After this experience I am more than happy to take my business elsewhere. They ve lost my business indefinitely.Service: Transmission replacement
